+Jordanna McLaurin It's almost as if Disney have figured out how to make holograms of their female animated leads. Laura is everything Disney and so much more.
Just give Laura Osnes a Tony Award already!! Love her!! Also, this just demonstrates how incredibly talented the cast was... I was lucky enough to see this show and loved it.
Every single one of these people are having the time of their lives and it SHOWS in their facial expressions and voices. My Lord the most entertaining bts cast recording by far
Really terrific I love watching those recordings.... I marvel at how they bring the essence of their performance to the studio and the commitment of each individual involved.. super....
This is marvelous. I've been taking voice lessons for two-and-a-half years now, and it's really opened up my eyes to the wonderful world of Broadway-- I used to be a fan of just opera, as I used to think that Broadway was only belting out notes which I can't do because my voice isn't suited for it, but WOW, this is just more proof (aside from Broadway songs my instructor has given me that work for my voice perfectly) that shows how clueless I was a few years ago.
I'm just here like that girl was also in Shrek the musical.. We're doing Shrek the musical and I'm playing Gingy 👍🏻🙈 we perform like in 3 weeks. She is such an amazing singer btw
I don't ever seem to be able to quench this thirst or satiate my appetite for watching the amazing Anything Goes cast. Whether it be rehearsals, performance at the Tony's or recording - it's such a feast of talent - I just don't know which way to turn at times - Sutton Foster being the exception. Talent, spirit and heart is what really makes America the great country she is. My Sutton Foster go-to links: ua-cam.com/video/qcs09ZaskiM/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/j3b5XRd15KM/v-deo.html
It’s a great score. Very great. Cole Porter was a genius mixing melody with jazz full of innuendo irony and sardonic. This cast was decent. On the stage the choreography and acting brought it totally to another level of success. Audio wise it’s ok. The arrangements of the show were very very good. Four versions of the libretto of Anything Goes exist: the original 1934 libretto, the 1962 off-Broadway revival libretto, the 1987 revival libretto, and the 2011 revival libretto. So really this show has many different versions. Some feel more 30’s.. others 1950’s. This version feels cutesy and bright. The majesty and affected British qualities that make the show hilarious aren’t there however. It’s nimble enough creating a framework for the dancing. Without drawing sharp distinctions between the transatlantic cultural divides that are inherent to the script it becomes a romp without political or cultural challenge. In other words this feel to PC. Too Disney.
Lady Fair sounds weird, it was mixed weird and the balance is off. And the title song sounds really weird without taps for most of the dance section and then come in really muffled towards the end. I definitely think they dropped the ball in the recording. The H2S revival recording (2011) has much more energy and authenticity to it. Not a terrible recording, still love Joel and Sutton, and Cole Porter's score is amazing, but really could have been much better.
I think she acted the role very well and danced it the best, but Sutton's singing, while strong, is not good. Her sound is nasal and her style is whiny. A strain on the ears! :-(
Her kids will NEVER be bored.
Sutton and Emily are so lucky to have found each other!
You can tell just how much Sutton loves singing this stuff!
I love how even when sutton is singing into a mic, she still has over the top expressions
It’s hard to get into character without the facial expressions
Yes but they are very good they knew the camera was on their faces & that’s why they did the expressions they do so excellently on Stage to be honest
@@AbiS1018 w3
Although it helps with getting into character, it also aids voice tone and pitch.
i loved Sutton's faces! So funny!
Same! She's at expressive and it never feels forced.
It's almost like that song was made for Laura. God her voice is beyond amazing
Anyone else think Laura Osnes sounds like a Disney Princess when she sang De-Lovely?
+Jordanna McLaurin It's almost as if Disney have figured out how to make holograms of their female animated leads. Laura is everything Disney and so much more.
Laura Osnes is an angel!
And she played Cinderella
Sutton and Laura in one show... that's too much amazing to take :)
Laura and Colin sounds amazing together! and Sutton just slays every.single.time
How is it they're just in a recording studio and Laura Osnes is literally glowing? That's just not fair. I want her perfect hair and skin.
she's wearing makeup and her hair is done lol but yeah she's gorgeous
Laura Osnes is a literal Disney princess. 😍
Just give Laura Osnes a Tony Award already!! Love her!!
Also, this just demonstrates how incredibly talented the cast was... I was lucky enough to see this show and loved it.
Sutton is so amazing, I wish she was still doing Broadway. Although she probably makes more money on TV, that's for sure.
CraftyJane haven't you heard she's back on broadway
Really?! WOA! which musical!
DeadlyYoshi she has not currently announced any plans to be back on broadway. She was in Sweet Charity off-bway though!

Sutton's facial expressions during you're the top. I'm laughing so hard!
I LOVED her in TMM. I am an 11 year old girl who has been doing theatre for 3 years. She has been my role model. I hope to someday get to her level!
epicmaddie can't wait to see you on broadway then ;)
Hope that you have been able to pursue whatever your dreams may be now!
I love how the particulars of Sutton's voice are perfect for this role since its very swingy and nasaly! I love her voice!!
sutton & Laura are my absolute favorites ugh
Laura Osnes's smile literally brightens up the whole room. Absolutely effervescent. 💕
she never holds anything back or is afraid to look stupid...such an inspiration :)

+Ally Ann If you think it's just belting, give Phantom of the Opera a glance :)
PupCake1025 As I already stated in my comment, I *used* to think Broadway was all belting. Not anymore.
Ally Ann Sorry, I guess I misread it. My bad ^.^
GOD! She is just so-so-so-so-soooooooo perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love Sutton's faces
i knew i recognized him!! colin played tommy on arrow omg
And Dr. Connor Rhodes in Chicago Med!
All of their voices are flawless!
So much talent in a single cast...
Colin Donnell is so adorable! And of course, Sutton is amazing. :)
and a plus for Joel Grey who can steal any show without trying. This was a great clip.
Sure if fun to watch! Thanks for sharing.
3:36 THEN A WILD GODDESS LAURA COMES OUT OF NOWHERE AND I AM RESTORED.
I'm just here like that girl was also in Shrek the musical.. We're doing Shrek the musical and I'm playing Gingy 👍🏻🙈 we perform like in 3 weeks. She is such an amazing singer btw
Beatriz Gomez "that girl" is the legendary Sutton Foster
Oh my God, Sutton
Finally! I have wanted this so long. She is amazing. Sutton Foster is my favorite.
Woot go Kevin Munhall and Shina Morris. I have known them for years in Wichita and now they are on Broadway. So awesome!!
laura osnes is unbelievable omg🤩
When Sutton says "the great Durante"....:)
Sutton looks like she is going to fall asleep during the end of Blow Gabriel Blow! No wonder, it must take a lot of energy. It's my favorite song!
My favorite musical of all time!
Laura Osnes would be AMAZING in Thoroughly Modern Millie
Omg wtf Laura! She’s a goddess
0 dislikes only because Sutton is amazing :)
Can Sutton be anymore awesome? Seriously! I'm offended by how talented she is.
This is perfection.
i love sutton's faces!! haha she's so lovely! :) and colin is so de-licious :)
FINALLY! I've been waiting for the 2011 Anything Goes cast recording for sooo long!
Great fun. Looking forward to this.
She's amazing
Okay, okay, I love show tunes ❤️🇺🇸
**Sutton's faces actually kill me,
Sutton is my joy.
SUTTOOOOOON!! MARRY ME!!!
Wow!!!

Adam Godley! Didn't expect to see Elliot from Breaking Bad.

I Want IT NOOOOOOOWWWWW!!
I love how Sutton is different appearance wise to others , she doesn’t have blonde hair and lots of fake eyelashes , she’s naturally pretty x
Cole Porter was a lyrical genius
Could Colin see Sutton? He seems to react to her x
JOEL GREY IS IN THIS!!!!!! OMFG!!!!!! *dies*
Adam Godley is hilarious hahaha
5:33 Lady holding a glass!
I love Colin Donnell
Please line up the footage of the musicians with what they’re playing. PLEASE
Blow Gabriel Blow will forever be Patti’s, but I love this version too
Colin hot aff 😍😍😍
I didn't know Colin Donnell sang!?!? I've only seen him play Tommy in arrow 😲😂
And his dad in ARROW, John Barrowman, portrayed the same role in the early 90s revival of this show opposite Elaine Paige on West End
0:28 omg XD
@klausious Colin Donnell. He plays Billy Crocker
Sutton's actually kill me
Colin Donnell is very attractive.
Dr.Rhodes just enjoying his life before becoming a surgeon
I'm going to ask a dumb question and I hope someone will answer it. What do the filters in front of the mics accomplish?
It blocks the air and spit coming from the singer's mouth, to protect the mic and sound quality.
This song makes me think of gay people. XD
Colin Donnel is damn hot
what happened to colin donell now is he doing why isn't he on bway anymore
Is there anything Sutton can't do?

she's probably too tall. she's 5'9" so they'd have to get a fiyero and glinda that aren't too much shorter than her
5:47 hmmm
@vrivera135 She wouldn't be able to ruin a performance...
@Walt 1896 ur kinda crazy
5:48 what the f is that shot
Jazz hands 👐
She reminds me of Ellen Page.
The women in this show have really thin eyebrows
who is the guy singing with her at the very beginning?
Colin Donnell. Though I'm sure after 9 years you've figured that out
@@JustinPageSlayer HAHAHA
I think she acted the role very well and danced it the best, but Sutton's singing, while strong, is not good. Her sound is nasal and her style is whiny. A strain on the ears! :-(
Nate Zumba agree!!! It’s irritating
I agree sometimes her voice is very obnoxious. But either way her voice is still amazing and she’s crazy talented.
