My brother stepped on a broken bottle in a river. It was an excruciating injury. 2 hours at the ER to clean the mud and gunk out of the wound then stitch it up. No Bueno...please don't break glass. People and animals get injured.

Use plastic bottles I was amazed at the accuracy when you hit the bamboo. If you get a bit closer it would be really accurate.

Good to see you wearing face protection, slingshot rifles should _never_ be used without at minimum safety goggles. That's a well put together slingrifle though, I like it. The adjustability in draw length is a great concept, you can put thicker bands on with less elasticity but more power or small bands with lots of elasticity for slinging small stuff fast, very accommodating to a variety of uses. I think an integral polycarbonate shield behind the release mechanism would be a good next step so you don't need the face protection, all it would take is an 8" square of quarter inch poly to keep your face safe.

It's great watching the development of a new idea, it also looks like you've figured out a way to deploy the fish line, although I missed it in this video. Accricuary still looks like it's an issue, for hunting you're going to need spot on sighting for "good kills", perhaps some kind of stabilization on the darts (fletchings/wings)? Also for good hunting you still should consider making your sling heavier, using stronger bands will give you more options in the size and lethality of the darts. Have you had a chance to measure the FPM of the darts? Thinking that you should test at least 400 FPM for hunting purposes, on the low end. It's really looking good from here, thanks for sharing your ideas with us.
hi CS, long time no see ^_^ wish you are well everything, right, this is one way to deploy the fish line ( on the top of rifle ), we will make a video to put the wheel in the front of rifle, also, we have 3 wings deep water dart now, within 20 meters, it could pierce 1.5 inches fir wood, it means, by 3 wings darts plus the ADS fishing line, it could get at a least 30kg fish, a big one, but it is very hard to seek such a fish in our river, then we try finish a fir wood as target. definitely we will apply 8 beams of bands to greater power, also, 3 wings dart is heavy than that one on the video, 3 wings darts sales on our ebay store now, it is real hard to reach 400fps ( 120M/S ) when play a heavy dart, it will be approx 320fps.
when play 8mm stell ball, initial speed is max at approx 450FPS, so, even we use our high speed rubber bands, 10 beams, to launch 3 wings dart, the speed will be less 350fps, we will test very soon...

Look at medieval stone bows, those are crossbows that shoot stones, they are basically slingshots but powered with bowlimbs instead of rubber

there's a certain grain needed per pound of draw weight.so it would have to be at least 400 grain projectile

Which model of flymars is it.. Earlier flymars used non hollow rod, but new models seems to use hollow one to compensate the adjustable butt stock..
thanks. earlier flymars rod is 10mm diamater, it is solid tube, but now, the tube diameter is 14mm, it is much bigger and be very tough, so, be still very safe to play
