6:32 What the fuck is that thing? That thing is known as Mew, and Mew got better sprites as the series continued. The first game to have Mew's sprite close to how we recognize Mew was in Pokemon Yellow.
@@ImportedCheese Mew is the more cool version of Mew. While Mewtwo may be stronger, Mew can learn every TM and transform into any Pokemon, including Mewtwo, and thus is cooler than Mewtwo.
He got it right that glitch 18 is international, but it's also possible to reduce the encountered Pokémon's level by using growls on the trainer's Pokémon before knocking it out (default encounter is Lvl 7, and each growl reduces its level by one). If you reduce it to Lvl 0, and gain less than 54 exp, than it'll jump to Lvl 100. However, this jump will prevent it from learning any moves from leveling up. Fortunately, New can still learn every TM and HM.

The reason the item changes according to your overworld coordinates is that... this is a bit tricky to explain. The game stores data all in a row, basically, every little bit just with some value assigned to it. Some section of that is the inventory, some section is your party, some other section is the sprites you can currently see, and so on. So this "extended" inventory is really just you seeing data addresses going on _immediately beyond_ where the inventory normally ends - including the bit where the game keeps track of your X and Y coordinates. That's why the game changes when you mess around with this "extended" inventory - even moving items within the normal confines of the inventory is just changing values around between different addresses... but with the "extended" inventory, that of course simply has way different implications, since you are now switching around values between addresses relating to totally different parts of the game's code. Side note: That's also what Glitch City is, actually - game data! It's literally just various bits of the game's addresses having their values displayed as overworld tiles and sprites corresponding to those values. This is also why using Cut in bushes in Glitch City can cause more glitches - you're removing the bush sprite _in Glitch City,_ therefore changing data that you shouldn't be changing. Hope that was informative for anyone who didn't know what the heck is even going on here! xD
12:37 AFAIK, when you close a shop menu, the game tries to return to the "In Overworld" routines, since you know, you shouldn't be able to use the shop in a battle. So it tries putting us in the overworld, but uh-oh, we're still in a battle, so it royally screws everything up. The overworld loop doesn't replace the battle loop, so both run at the same time. Of course, they still share the same memory-space, so things really get weird and memory-corruption is everywhere.
@@ImportedCheese Ahah good one ^^ That makes me think. Do you know about this glitch in Pokemon Yellow that messes up with the save and reset option, allowing you to have 255 glitchy Pokémon and after a few manipulations, quite a lot of glitchy items too ? Most of people use it in speedrun because if you throw a certain amount of the item that's two slots under CS04, you get teleported to the Hall of Fame when passing through your house's door. But 1. If you throw another amount of this item, you can get teleported to other places. 2. If you select one of your glitchy Pokemon and then swap it with one of the 255 slots of your team, the map will have glitchy tiles and modified collisions, sometimes it modifies the music, and once, I even managed to make a sprite of Red appear in Pallet Town. It was walking down indefinitly, going through the walls of Blue's House and Oak's Lab and reappearing on top of Pallet Town again after reaching the bottom of it. The more you go down in the glitchy team, the more it makes funny stuff. Do you think you could try that in videos ?
Fun fact about the Mew glitch -which is the only one I know out of the ones you've showcased so far-: If you use Growl six times against that Cerulean Gym trainer's Shellder, you'll encounter a Level 1 Mew. If you have it earn less exp than it needs to level up to 2, it will overflow back to Level 100. You can do that with every Level 1 Pokémon which is why you can only find Pokémon as low as Level 2 in the wild. I think they fixed it by Gen 2 but then I wonder why we didn't have Level 1 mons till Gen 4.
Venusaur's back sprite just legitimately looks like yer tossin' some salad on the enemy. All over Abra's face, we gettin' that nutrition up in here. We gon' be _so_ healthy up in this.
So... i guess this series itself is glitched now?? Didn't even show up on your channel, only in the playlist for the series. Btw, i just now subbed for the glitches!
I want to recreate that OOB glitch. Why? That soundeffect would make a great bassline for EDM. Distort it, slow it down a little, add a pumping bassline and maybe compose some fun stuff in LSDJ and... off you go! :D
There actually _is_ something _way_ beyond the walls, even - and there's several locations in the game where you can make it there. Just never works by escaping north or west out of a map; it's best to escape south or east from a low corner. You even did it in once, when you kept looping around Pallet Town! The east out-of-bounds is the normal map over and over, continually shifted one tile up each "loop". But if you go _south..._ or manage to move horizontally into _another_ map's southern out-of-bounds... well, there's some _very fun stuff_ there. xD Actually, better yet: You made it there already without knowing it! hen you did the coordinate item glitch thing, it shifted your coordinates _to_ that southern out-of-bounds - when you opened your start menu, that's what the place actually looks like. You can do some crazy stuff there, like changing RAM by using CUT on small trees. ... No, really. xD
1:14 Not sure if it was intended or not, but the Power Rangers are the same colors as the original Japanese games (as well as the GBA remakes), and if it was intended it was really clever.
Kinda sad that the planned Freedom from the end of the previous episode didn't work out. Link's Awakening lets you break the boundaries so hard that you basically end up in another dimension entirely. And it's on the same console after all. 5:47 What about Abra, Kadabra, Simsala? Due to that quirk in the german version, there was a rumor that there is a secret fourth part to the Abra line called Bim. Because our version of the most standard of standard spells is complete with "Abra, Kadabra, Simsalabim!" And yes, this rumor is/was incredibly stupid. 6:53 Years later they went for the Fetus Design again. But Munna and Musharna had a _way_ cuter first showing. Granted, not a contest when pitted against _that_ ... 9:14 Nah, "as generic as you can get" would be that the Anime Protagonist shouts and gets stronger because of it.
There may still be freedom beyond the walls, but I haven't found it yet >.> I didn't know about the German rumor xD Hey, as the scene continues he does get a power-up!

Quality content. Amazing voice. I hope this becomes your full time career in the future if you want it to be.
For people who are scared of game glitches out of your control, that last segment would make a horrifying creepy pasta.
Sleep tight
I found you cause of japanese pokemon glitches... I've subscribed for this style of content. I like these trivia type things. Glitches are neat!
saw this in my recommended. watched the entire green glitchfest series. keep up the good work holy shit
Found your channel today and promptly binged. Much appreciated
8:27 "That's bollocks" This caught me off guard and had me laughing a LOT
Oi, glad you enjoyed, bruv.
Just found this channel yesterday and watched through the whole playlist for this, loving the content!
I've been subscribed to you for awhile now. You deserve more subs imo. The sides comments and inserts are hilarious and entertaining
Technically what you called Charizard ‘m is actually his Japanese cousin. They're pretty different but have similar effects.
glitchunter09 seems like a trustworthy username...thanks for the tip!
@@ImportedCheese I'll be keeping an eye on your videos. Also someone you may wanna check out here on youtube is chickasaurus GL. She does a ton of pokemon glitch videos and seems to keep finding new ways to use them, even to this day.
6:32 What the fuck is that thing?
That thing is known as Mew, and Mew got better sprites as the series continued. The first game to have Mew's sprite close to how we recognize Mew was in Pokemon Yellow.
Not even mewtwo, sad.
@@ImportedCheese Mew is the more cool version of Mew. While Mewtwo may be stronger, Mew can learn every TM and transform into any Pokemon, including Mewtwo, and thus is cooler than Mewtwo.
These videos are so good. The editing is so funny! Great job!
Keep it up man!
Your content legit makes my days better.
I look forward to more ideas you have for videos.
* "wanted to tell ya not to mess with reality, but you did it before i could and look where it brought you. welcome to the void, foolish one. there is no escape." -whoever tf said these words my dad heard right before he was trapped seemingly forever in the void.
Wow, that last bit got pretty existential...
You know what's crazy? 10 views and 5 comments and I was only 30 seconds late :( but that's great man, congratulations! Keep up the great work and immaculate commentary
Ahhh I should have expected you to be leading the pack - thanks for the support!
Always! By the way, congrats on getting to almost 2.5k subscribers, you deserve it.
@@davelynch8143 Thanks! It's crazy to think that 0-1k took almost a year, but 1k to 2.5k took...about two weeks o_O
@@ImportedCheese 2.5k now, 250k soon. You'll get there!
Hope that was informative for anyone who didn't know what the heck is even going on here! xD
When your out of pokeballs in the middle of a fight but you still want to catch it
A true Pokemon Master explores all options

AFAIK, when you close a shop menu, the game tries to return to the "In Overworld" routines, since you know, you shouldn't be able to use the shop in a battle. So it tries putting us in the overworld, but uh-oh, we're still in a battle, so it royally screws everything up. The overworld loop doesn't replace the battle loop, so both run at the same time. Of course, they still share the same memory-space, so things really get weird and memory-corruption is everywhere.
What a great game
That Pokeball Z glitch is some real horror stuff right there. Like haunted video game stuff.

"What kind of music do you listen to?"
"... it's complicated."
Awesome channel. Thank you for posting what music you use in your videos!
13:24 The "low HP" music kicking in feels ominous af
nice video, keep it up:)
also, i love all the aot references
Thanks for watching!
...I am free. I will keep moving forward, until all the code has been destroyed.
Your dry humor is just right up my alley
Dang glitch 22 is some creepypasta level stuff
13:27 A fate worse than death:
HAVING TO LISTEN TO THAT ACCURSED SOUND UNTIL THE END OF TIME

Dude u have dry humor and I love it!
Aw, thank you! See you in Part 5, coming this weekend™
dude this series is a psychedelic experience
Pretty wild right
This game is held together by sheer willpower alone at this point. Well done, you've murdered this poor thing
0:34 You can't change my mind : This game freeze sound would be an awesome beat for making an ost.
I chose Charmander because I knew the beats would be Fire!
But
Do you think you could try that in videos ?
you've earned me as a sub. Keep up the awesome content, mr. Brie!
I like how even the subtitles are baffled by that last glitch lol.
When will they buff subtitles to be able to keep up?
Sorry, it was unlisted for about half an hour as UA-cam was doing some background checks. It should be public now!
I want to recreate that OOB glitch. Why? That soundeffect would make a great bassline for EDM. Distort it, slow it down a little, add a pumping bassline and maybe compose some fun stuff in LSDJ and... off you go! :D
“Cast it into the fire” is what I think about a lot of the Gen 1 sprites
R.I.P. mew
That last glitch is better than any creepy pasta horror remake. Oh my God
But if you go _south..._ or manage to move horizontally into _another_ map's southern out-of-bounds... well, there's some _very fun stuff_ there. xD
Actually, better yet: You made it there already without knowing it! hen you did the coordinate item glitch thing, it shifted your coordinates _to_ that southern out-of-bounds - when you opened your start menu, that's what the place actually looks like. You can do some crazy stuff there, like changing RAM by using CUT on small trees. ... No, really. xD
The survey corps may mobilize again someday
ERRANDS? this series is great keep them coming
Not sure as to why this channel does not have a 100k Subs already
Eyyy thank you!
It's up to YOU to spam your friends with my Q U A L I T Y content xD
So for the shop glitch at the end there...... WHAT IN THE ACTUAL FUCK HAPPENED THERE!?!?
Also props to the usage of Persona 5 music!
Neat video! Thanks for uploading!
"Pokeball Z."
Ah yes, featuring Son Gok- I mean Infernape.
The bit at the end was insane
1:14 Not sure if it was intended or not, but the Power Rangers are the same colors as the original Japanese games (as well as the GBA remakes), and if it was intended it was really clever.
I wish I could say that was intentional, but I'm not that clever >.>
I just searched for "shrug" gifs lol
@@ImportedCheese Well, it worked out lmao
Before the final glitch I was thinking: "I guess he'll just say: "
I really was not ready for what eldritch horror happens next
I got you with the tricks!
And the game got me with the uh...the nightmare fuel, I guess.
That last glitch transported Redbl into an empty reality
Bruh you funny af! " Screw the rules, I have glitches." Anyways great video!
I'm glad you enjoyed! Part 8...soon...ish...
@@ImportedCheese wow that's crazy to know that Pokemon Green is that broken. Eight parts of the same game? Cant wait to watch it.
@@bradpollard444 It'll probably go up to parts 9 or 10, is what I'm thinking
I thought watching a pokémon vidéo about glitches just before going to sleep was safe.
I was wrong.
Zubat can now attack the trainer directly.
Sleep well.
Thanks UA-cam for leading me to this channel, guess I will be busy catching up next days
Thank you for watching!
Susan-sama has finally recognized my G E N I U S!
There may still be freedom beyond the walls, but I haven't found it yet >.>
I didn't know about the German rumor xD
Hey, as the scene continues he does get a power-up!
