Dimash NEVER sounds like the covers he does. He always does it much better, which is why some of the artists he covers, never allow him to cover their song more than once! Dimash is an amazing composer! He’s also an amazing multi instrumentalist! He is THE greatest vocalist of ALL time. Marcelito does not have any original songs he’s just an impersonator and he’s self taught. Dimash has been trained at music school then studied music at university since the age of 5. He still has 3-4 hours of vocal coaching every day by world class vocal coaches. Dimash has two degrees in singing and a masters in composition where he received a perfect score. He’s currently studying for his doctorate in Musicology. (He’ll probably get a perfect score in that too!) His music videos are all incredible! The Story of One Sky (he wrote the screenplay and the music, which is a 13 1/2 minute masterpiece (the most expensive music video ever produced, at over 7 million of Dimash’s own money)) and his live performance is also amazing of the song! When you watch the video, I’m sure you’ll say he couldn’t possibly sing it live. But he can! The premier live performance in September 2022, at his Almaty solo concert to an audience of 40,000, was the day before the music video release.
He is the best singer ever. We just didn't heard about him because he is from Kazakhstan, is muslim, speaks Russian, is a success in China (everything USA didn't like). But now that he moved to USA it's inevitable to him to make success (he is living in LA now)
Hitting high notes isn't that rare. Hitting them a d sustaining them with full quality and beauty if tone. Not to mention his ability to easily transition from octave to octave without missing quality or control. Dimash has a command of his voice unheard of. His delivery, phrasing, timing, timbre, power and control is without peer. Marcelito has a common quality with a wide range. He or Vitas do not possess the quality or emotional impact. My favorite two artists are Dimash and REN. Thank you for starting a journey with Dimash. You will not be disappointed. You might enjoy his version of Lionel Ritchie’s Hello for a song in English. He does sing in many languages. Songs in his own mother tongue are stunning I would suggest Samaltau. But anything you choose will leave you convinced that his vocal abilities are absolutely the best!
These aren’t his lowest or highest toes. He sings off the piano. Truly. But Dimash doesn’t want you to focus on his range. He says it’s a tool. He is a great storyteller, with great stage presence, sings in many genres, even gives you some Kazakh rap on occasion. The way I found to celebrate the majesty of Dimash's talent was to have written the following about him: If I were to rule the world, I would immediately add, to the universal declaration of human rights, another article (they would become 31) whose wording would next "All human beings have the right, at least once in their lives, to hear Dimash sing". I am a Professor and I believe that I have a special profession that allows me to transform the human heart and consequently the human society. I work with young people and young people need to have good references. I had been looking for someone for a long time, of whom I could speak to the young people I work with, as a good reference. That person should be young, a super talent, a super mega star in the art world and above all, because he is the most important, a good human person. The Dimash rabbit hole is truly like no other. He was my go to until there was Ren. But this reminds me that there is no voice, no performer, on one that compares to Dimash. Ever. He also knows and understands a few words and sentences in Mandarin. In the meantime he can sing in about 15 or 16 languages, but he does it phonetically.
He sang this song on his digital concert in January 2021 during the pandemic. He had to cancel his tour and did this concert for his Dears/fans. That’s why there was no audiende to be seen or heard. SOS is a song in the rock-opera „Starmania“ from 1978. The first who presented this song was the French singer and songwriter Daniel Balavione. SOS was the first performance of the China competition (in 2017) and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. Listening to Dimash got me through lockdown. HOURS of listening. He's amazing. Like Ren, he took me down a whole lot of other rabbit holes along the way. Dimash is original. He does covers, but he doesn't sound like anyone but himself. Original and wonderful arrangements. Good man, too. SOS is considered to be one of the top five most difficult songs in the French repertoire. There's a live version of him singing for a small group in France, and he got a standing ovation - pretty insane since they would have been critical of pronunciation and are protective of the star who made this popular (and who died very young). To me, it isn't just about Dimash's range - but his control and the beauty of his tone in each of his voices.

I think that what you perhaps meant is that Dimash is not only a singer, but he tells stories and transmits the emotions of the songs, he is a true original artist passionate about his art. He lives what he sings about and he makes us share his experience through his performances. Dimash for me is a soul healer, he touches my heart and soul like no other artist does. And Dimash is not just about range, he doesn't have wide range in every song, very far from it. He does what each song requires and he always does it amazingly beautifully even when he doesn't display his range or doesn't go high because his voice, technique and emotional expression are always on point no matter in what range, genre or style he sings. By the way, there are no castrati today, you are talking about centuries ago. The castrati couldn't sing low at all. Of course Dimash is a normal man, he grows a beard sometimes and his speaking voice is low.

This is from a 70s Rock opera called Starmania but no one has sung it quite like Dimash. Dimash hasn't done many covers but when he does it's like listening to a whole new song. He makes it his own every time. I agree with your friend, Marcelito has a good voice but he does imitate the original song. This is the difference between a singer and an artist.
I totally agree. Dimash is the greatest voice, Macilito is the greatest imitator. Both are great in their own ways. I hold both as the greatest in their own style.
It's not about the range with Dimash. Yes yes OK his range IS amazing (over 7 octaves) but it's the vocal dynamics that makes him special, and his breath control and the way he paints colours when he sings and injects 100% of his emotions direct from his heart and soul to yours. He goes from soft, delicate, breathy, birdlike, to full power belt and metal screams. He powers up through chest, mixed, head, falsetto into whistle register absolutely seamlessly. He sings the exact same notes in other voices or styles from word to word, line to line, verse to verse or chorus to chorus. He sings in classically trained tenor and soprano voices. He gets deep into bass and baritone (in other songs) and adds gritty vocal fry. He includes middle eastern and eastern european ethnic vocalizations, free style jazz scatting and some simply beeautiful and uplifting soul/RnB runs up and down the scales that almost take you out of your body. Dimash is the GOAT of singers. As far as I have heard so far (and I've listened to a lot) this man really could be the best in the world and not only in our lifetime either. Every song has a surprise. You won't get bored I promise you. Keep listening to Dimash. I have liked and subbed in hope and expectation! Try Sinful Passion next. It's astonishing. We do hope he never loses his Kazakh accent though. SOS is a cover of a famous French song from the seventies I believe. An original song you really must experience is The Story Of One Sky released in 2022. This amazing piece was sung by Dimash live at his concert in Almaty, Kazakhstan the night before it’s release. Dimash NEVER sounds like the covers he does. He always does it much better, which is why some of the artists he covers, never allow him to cover their song more than once! Dimash is an amazing composer! He’s also an amazing multi instrumentalist! He is THE greatest vocalist of ALL time.
Marcelito does not have any original songs he’s just an impersonator and he’s self taught.
Dimash has been trained at music school then studied music at university since the age of 5. He still has 3-4 hours of vocal coaching every day by world class vocal coaches.
Dimash has two degrees in singing and a masters in composition where he received a perfect score. He’s currently studying for his doctorate in Musicology. (He’ll probably get a perfect score in that too!) His music videos are all incredible! The Story of One Sky (he wrote the screenplay and the music, which is a 13 1/2 minute masterpiece (the most expensive music video ever produced, at over 7 million of Dimash’s own money)) and his live performance is also amazing of the song! When you watch the video, I’m sure you’ll say he couldn’t possibly sing it live. But he can! My favorite two artists are Dimash and REN. Thank you for starting a journey with Dimash. You will not be disappointed. You might enjoy his version of Lionel Ritchie’s Hello for a song in English. He does sing in many languages. Songs in his own mother tongue are stunning I would suggest Samaltau. But anything you choose will leave you convinced that his vocal abilities are absolutely the best!

The way I found to celebrate the majesty of Dimash's talent was to have written the following about him: If I were to rule the world, I would immediately add, to the universal declaration of human rights, another article (they would become 31) whose wording would next "All human beings have the right, at least once in their lives, to hear Dimash sing". I am a Professor and I believe that I have a special profession that allows me to transform the human heart and consequently the human society. I work with young people and young people need to have good references. I had been looking for someone for a long time, of whom I could speak to the young people I work with, as a good reference. That person should be young, a super talent, a super mega star in the art world and above all, because he is the most important, a good human person. I searched and never found anyone with these characteristics. Until, finally, I found this person and that person is Dimash. I had the opportunity to say this to Dimash, personally, when I was with him in Latvia where I went, coming from Portugal (there are 8000 km round trip), on the 7th of March 2020. At the age of 5, Dimash was accepted into the most distinguished music academy in his country. Now writing his Doctoral thesis for a PhD in Musicology/ Composing, received all his degrees with honors while simultaneously filling arenas and maintaining his performing career, a first! I hope you don’t mean he speaks 14 languages fluently😅. Dimash is fluent in two languages. Russian and his native tongue Kazakh. His English is also very good and he is constantly improving it. He also knows and understands a few words and sentences in Mandarin. In the meantime he can sing in about 15 or 16 languages, but he does it phonetically.

He sang this song on his digital concert in January 2021 during the pandemic. He had to cancel his tour and did this concert for his Dears/fans. That’s why there was no audiende to be seen or heard.
SOS is a song in the rock-opera „Starmania“ from 1978. The first who presented this song was the French singer and songwriter Daniel Balavione.
SOS was the first performance of the China competition (in 2017) and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to this show are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show. They became aware of him because he had already won some important competitions in Kazakhstan and Belarus, among others. He was still completely unknown in China. Actually, it was intended that he would only have 1 or 2 appearances. But it came completely different. When he woke up the next morning after his first performance of SOS he was a megastar in China and even found bodyguards outside his hotel room. SOS’ first video had 600 million views when it aired. He was just 22 years old at the time.

He is a famous Russian/Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter. He has come out of retirement to work with Dimash. You’ll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. The two have no contract. Their cooperation is based more on mutual trust. It’s more like a father/son relationship.
Olimpico is another masterpiece that Igor Krutoy wrote especially for Dimash’s vocal skills. It was written for the 2nd European Games in Minsk, Belarus 2019. And that’s why the lyrics are also very motivating.
This song and this performance from this Arnau concert is my absolute favourite🥰 I think this version is the best, because his performance is so intense and breathtaking. The light show, the background dancers. Everything. With this song in this version I always get breathlessness. The way he represents himself on stage, the hand movements. I think he has incredibly beautiful hands🤭(and apparently many cameramen think so too, since many of the camera shots during his performances very often only show his hands. Sometimes it seems as if he is conducting himself. This is really fascinating). And the facial expression, the look. There he looks so commanding😱. In my opinion, this version of Olimpico is one of the most impressive performances ever. If you don't know what the song is about, you'd think he was going to war and is calling his army to a lost battle 😅! It’s absolutely stunning. And I don't even mean the vocal part, but also his stage presence. The whole package. Oh wow I’m starting to rave again…🤤 Sorry but I can’t help it🥺. I swear it is mind-blowing 🤯

Listening to Dimash got me through lockdown. HOURS of listening. He's amazing. Like Ren, he took me down a whole lot of other rabbit holes along the way. Dimash is original. He does covers, but he doesn't sound like anyone but himself. Original and wonderful arrangements. Good man, too. SOS is considered to be one of the top five most difficult songs in the French repertoire. There's a live version of him singing for a small group in France, and he got a standing ovation - pretty insane since they would have been critical of pronunciation and are protective of the star who made this popular (and who died very young). To me, it isn't just about Dimash's range - but his control and the beauty of his tone in each of his voices.
Please don’t think that Dimash is just about high and low notes. He sings ALL genres of music. He’s also a multi instrumentalist, composer, dancer, actor and producer. He can’t be compared to anyone. ❤

Dimash is from Kazakhstan. He has been studying music since he was 5 years old. Dimash is 29 years old. He sings in 16 languages, but speaks Kazakh, Russian and fairly good English. He is actually working in projects with David Foster (13 Grammys) and Walter Afanasieff (Baby Love).
You can not compare DImash with any other singer. He can sing like a baritone, tenor and Soprano in the same song. His style is classical crossover, but he also sings pop, ballads, ethnic and a bit of rap.

I agree! I also get a bit angry when people compare Dimash to Marcelito Pomoy. Not even close! Dimash is in a league of his own! Marcelito is a good mimic, but not an artist like Dimash! SOS is from a 1978 French rock opera called "Starmania". This dimash person is a wizard with his instrument! All the different ways of singing! Chest, mix, throat, falsetto on top of his head voice and even belting... Really impressive.... But trough all the vocal gymnastics I am not sure yet if I can connect with him on an emotional level 🤔.

I think that what you perhaps meant is that Dimash is not only a singer, but he tells stories and transmits the emotions of the songs, he is a true original artist passionate about his art. He lives what he sings about and he makes us share his experience through his performances. Dimash for me is a soul healer, he touches my heart and soul like no other artist does. And Dimash is not just about range, he doesn't have wide range in every song, very far from it. He does what each song requires and he always does it amazingly beautifully even when he doesn't display his range or doesn't go high because his voice, technique and emotional expression are always on point no matter in what range, genre or style he sings.
By the way, there are no castrati today, you are talking about centuries ago. The castrati couldn't sing low at all. Of course Dimash is a normal man, he grows a beard sometimes and his speaking voice is low.

It's not about the range with Dimash. Yes yes OK his range IS amazing (over 7 octaves) but it's the vocal dynamics that makes him special, and his breath control and the way he paints colours when he sings and injects 100% of his emotions direct from his heart and soul to yours. He goes from soft, delicate, breathy, birdlike, to full power belt and metal screams. He powers up through chest, mixed, head, falsetto into whistle register absolutely seamlessly. He sings the exact same notes in other voices or styles from word to word, line to line, verse to verse or chorus to chorus. He sings in classically trained tenor and soprano voices. He gets deep into bass and baritone (in other songs) and adds gritty vocal fry. He includes middle eastern and eastern european ethnic vocalizations, free style jazz scatting and some simply beeautiful and uplifting soul/RnB runs up and down the scales that almost take you out of your body. Dimash is the GOAT of singers. As far as I have heard so far (and I've listened to a lot) this man really could be the best in the world and not only in our lifetime either.

SOS is a cover of a famous French song from the seventies I believe. An original song you really must experience is The Story Of One Sky released in 2022. This amazing piece was sung by Dimash live at his concert in Almaty, Kazakhstan the night before it’s release. The live version is also something to behold. You will be blown away by the 13 minute video. Dimash composed, wrote the screen play and sang this amazing masterpiece. This composition took him 3 years to write in between many concerts and so many other commitments within those 3 hectic years. He is an amazing artist and when you get to know the man behind the voice you’ll understand why he is so treasured and loved by his fans.
