#Hermitcraft #TangoTek - Ігри
Realizing you can set the range to 100,000 blocks and do server announcements or pranks
Idk if it would only make a sound within simulation distance, though
"SHUT UP!"
@@WashYourHands__omg serverwide bdubs
Imagine making a disc with Grian's "SURPRISE!!" horn set to a 100k block range
Server wide jump scare!
And let the prank wars begin… 😂
Bdubs yelling SHUT UP! is so iconic and an integral part of the Hermitcraft experience at this point
YOU'LL SPEAK WHEN SPOKEN TO
Tango, you could make a disk that have 100k range and says: "THE DUNGEON IS CALLING" and tell the hermits that is ready to use
I had the exact same idea!
Telling the hermits some excuse to make as much of them be online at a time as possible, and then playing an epic opening announcement, that can be heard all around the server.
Tango: I just need to aim for minimum viable product at this point.
Also Tango: I need to animate the front door! I need ambient background music!
His standards just high man
The game dev experience
Tango moment
Its supposed do be an immersive, scary game. Those things are MVP.
Scope creep: 👀
I have never seen someone so happy realizing that the thing he had worked on for hours was actually for nothing and there is a 10* easier solution😊
I mean that solution didn't exist when he made it originally soooo
It wasnt for nothing. It was needed at the time.
Now with the new system, there will be less headaches coming forward, only in exchange for 20 minutes of taking down the multiple modules and building a new one.
Its a W.
a true engineer
happens in programming all the time. it takes a lot of code to find out how to do the same thing in a single line; and it feels great! Watching all that spaghetti code collapse into one pure, refined flourish... its elegance
What about when Mumbo blew up his base? Well I guess he wasn’t AS happy. Scar was pretty happy though.
🎵 When Warden reared its ugly head, he bravely turned his tail and fled.
Because he's brave Sir Tango
Brave Sir Tango
Brave he is. 🎵
remember a brave man will flee an overconfident man will fight
🎵 brave, brave, brave, brave sir tango 🎵
And suddenly I want the Hermits to stage their own production of the Holy Grail. Can't you just imagine
Perfection.
@@theotherguy4456it’s a song from a funny movie
Hoping Tango actually tested the increased range to make sure values _above_ the vanilla cap work
I mean I assume the mod developer tested it, otherwise they wouldn't be a very good mod developer.
@@beric_ailey2330the thing is: it isn't a mod, it's a data pack.
@@CrystalENVT 1. i dont think thats true, datapacks cant do custom commands. The closest a datapack can do is use /trigger and 2. a datapack developer should also test their pack lol
@@awesome.rats159 Fair related to testing, & I didn't realize that datapacks were limited to /trigger commands.
I've been bested 😵 /lh
@@CrystalENVTHe calls it a mod in the video.
You should add a couple disks in each system that make no sound as a break from the constant noise, (you wouldnt hear random ambient sounds every second in a real dungeon)
if you addresed this later in the video im sorry i just wanted to make this comment before i forget
Up, a very good idea
No sound after sound is so much more scarier!
Like with the minecraft cave sounds.
You're just minding your own buisness on the surface and then Cave sound 15 or 19 start playing
Complete silence is very unnerving. It also has happen before many horrible real life disasters and is one of the things survivors remember most. Basically, I'm saying it is psychologically proven that it would make Decked Out 2 even more terrifying to the players/viewers.
@@citrisaurora1182 that’s what I’m saying, it’s probably unrealistic but imagine if as your clank goes up you slowly become more “insane” hearing less and less noise and when you are at max clank you hear nothing but your own heartbeat. Like I said this would be very hard to do but it would be amazing
Tango: "it's pretty much a fool proof plan"
Me, knowing Tango: "but is it Tango proof?"
:D
Thankfully he only has to aspire to Tango-proof, if he had to make it Grian-proof and Scar-safe he'd be in trouble. 😂
At this point Tango has just become a gamedev
That was his job before becoming a minecraft youtuber.
Always has been.
@@davidmcdonnel4831 That explains a lot
I thought he was a game programmer not a Dev? But maybe I am misremembering
@@thedeltastrat Corporate needs you to tell the difference between these two pictures.
In this episode we truly witnessed "Sir Tango The Brave Screamer" moment
With the new sounds you might be able to use recordings of the hermits screaming while playing the old decked out or the new one to make it sound like there are other people in the dungeon ahead of the player. Tormented souls that are keeping the player company.
Ooooo nice :)
Like your idea!
Someone needs to tell Scar about the update for the audio mod ASAP so he can modify the messages in his theme park XD
I absolutely love how with each episode tango releases, you can gauge how much further into madness he’s fallen just by his voice. His energy is wonderful and contagious but when this is all over I hope he sleeps for two weeks straight
All I'm hearing is that you can prank the entire server with music discs...
Watching Waredens chase you through the tunnels was the funniest thing I've seen all day!
We all wish we had endermen farms to feel tall tango
Thats what Bdubs said😏
Honestly, though, an enderman farm is one of the easiest farms to make. You can totally go feel tall.
Same
I do
The enderman are 50% taller than you, feel tall now?. Theyre 75% taller than bdubs tho
i think he meant that his head is touching roof
which for hermits is unusual because they make such beautiful big builds
@@DearHRS he did mean as in he's touching the roof. But I think he meant to feel tall due to the height jokes. I also think he did it knowing people would comment about it
When you build the original deck'd out, I thought you were crazy, but this version of Deck'd out only proves you're a genius. Cant wait to watch hermits die to your dungeon.
Imagine Decked Out 3 😮
@@emilelesaffre I don't think we will see that very soon. If Tango is ever gonna make something like Decked Out again I think he will have to find someone to cooperate with. Unless there is maybe some serious changes to how redstone and other active components works that makes his workflow much easier. He has more than clearly implied that there won't be any Decked Out 3 anytime soon.
I really hope he does return to Decked Out like projects later on though. They are really exciting!
@@egilsandnes9637 Yeah, I'm not gonna lie, this is one of the most crazy projects I've ever seen. I'm just genuinely amazed that it's even possible to make something like this in minecraft.
"The distance between insanity and genius is very short"

I wish there was a way to counter the darkness effect of wardens and shriekers. It would make content relating to them better if we could see the whole time.
Yea. I agree
@@TangoTekLP You can change accessibility settings as we tested on stream, but it's nowhere near as fun that way.
It's an effect on the player, so shouldn't milk work? (haven't tested it)
@@PixelKonny64 Nope, devs specifically made sure that wouldn't work as a counter by making wardens Constantly give it to you (milk only negates effects for that one moment, so as soon as it's given back to you it breaks
The Warden jumpscare at 18:01 made me jump so noticeably that my mom looked up to see what was going on
Great episode!
That jumpscare and the first chase were legitimately terrifying, my own heart was racing watching it.
When I see a Tango episode, I just have to drop everything and start watching! Thank you for your dedication to Decked Out, it's so fun to watch!
As a programmer, i can really appreciate Tangos developer process.
yea the wardens run faster, if i remember correctly x and cub had to use speed potions just to match the pace of the warden.
there is so much potential for server-wide trolling with the music disc range change.
I think the ambient music should be less consistent, more like minecraft cave sounds where it's short and punchy between is long periods of silence. The game is going to have a heartbeat sound playing and I think constant high pitch ambience is a bit much.
Agreed. Constant "action" only makes people become numb to the effects of the ambient noises, and eventually it'll be seen as a BGM rather than mood setting noises. Sometimes pure silence is far more tense and scarier than ambient noises.
Love the dedication to sound design in this version of Decked Out, from the ambient drones in this episode, to all of the narration of cards. Loving it!
The redstone always makes me hungry for spaghetti, can't wait to see the balance testing
I think the sound of footsteps and random sounds of hostile mobs using noteblocks and their heads would ramp up the anxiety feeling whilst running from those ravagers would be so awesome too
When Decked Out opens, that mushroom block line isn't the only thing that's gonna be brown.
Well played. 😂
@@YetAnotherJenn thank you :p
The patience I have waiting for a New Tango Episode is absolutely worth the content :)
1. The audio design is super, super impressive. 2. Tango's excited noises are one of my favourite sounds 3. So are his screams of manliness. 4. I may or may not have jumped out of my chair at a certain point where screams of manliness were heard and pulled a muscle in my back. 5. Worth it.
Brave Sir Tango and the screams of manliness.
That shaken-mouse-startled may have made me cackle like a carzy person. Never change, Sir Tango! Excellent entertainment as always!
Nothing better on a Sunday than Breakfast with Tango
I actually jumped out of my chair when the warden was waiting by the portal!
0:45-0:50 Ah yes, we'll see the sounds
The amount of work that is going into this project: the designing, the building, the redstone, the programming, the mob moving, the testing, this is comparable to a PhD dissertation, but even harder because the end result needs to not only work correctly but also be be super fun!
And self-resetting, replayable after five minutes.
Idea: add some random warden sounds to the ambient playlist, thus lulling hermits into a false sense of security when they start believing that all warden sounds they hear are fake.
Although initially I thought this would be cool, I think this starts becoming troll-y and frustrating for players rather than adding depth, atmosphere, and tension to the game. But initially I agreed and it would be hilarious 😂
Every single Tango video, I have to watch it IMMEDIATELY 😊
May have jogged home from church to do so 😂xx
Everything that gets added impresses me more than the last thing
Oh tango, wardens don’t despawn outside the deep dark they spawned in, makes them perfect for mob switches like the one on docs tunnel bore, but oh man gl with them now!
This full time-full passion project is amazing
Hiya Tango! I'm late, I apologize! This video is tremendously terrifying when the wardens chase you! LOL You did an epic awesome job of planning, and attaining wardens for Decked Out!!! Thank you for being a Minecraft game with in a the game inventor, and mastermind. Your just an especially fun gifted person.
That was a jump scare, Tango. Ahaha. Your unfaultering bravery pays off. Lol
Tango is at a point of using so many obscure blocks for redstone lines, that when this is all said and done, i want to know how many unique lines there are!
You nailed the creepy ambient sounds, its just what I'd expect in a horror/intense on edge game.
Oh right Tango, in this new 1.20 update you can silent skulk shriekers by waterlogging them
Hope you spoil yourself greatly once DO2 is complete 😁 Every episode is fun snd amazing! The excitement is real🔥✨
Hey Tango, I'm a long time fan. Way back when Breaking Bytes was being uploaded. That series was a huge part of my childhood, so I just wanted to say thank you for creating such a masterpiece.
Holy cow, Tango! Every time I think you've hit the apex of what's possible for this game, you raise the bar some more! The ambient drone sounds are so cool and add tons to the atmosphere of DO. And your warden farm and delivery system is right on target! As of this episode I actually see the light at the end of what has been an incredibly long tunnel for you.
There simply aren't enough adjectives and compliments in the language to give you. ❤
If you can ask the dev to add new features, maybe you could ask if it's possible to do a rectangular area instead of (or as an option to) a spherical radius? So instead of 1 radius, you just have 3, one for each axis? It would be really useful for defining exactly the area you want, where spheres are really awkward for covering the shapes people usually make builds in.
Maybe also options for falloff curves too
i love that watching even expert minecrafters deal with wardens is so scary. that's a good mob right there
Having a long corridor in Decked Out in which player would need to quickly run away from a warden that just drops from the ceiling with some intense chase music playing suddenly, only for warden to dissappear in a quickly lit and destroyed portal would be a mood beyond any mood. Or better yet, just drop a swarm of wardens instead. Far enough to be able to run away from them, but close enough to cause panic. Also, portal sounds and portal cracking visuals/sound could work great for creating sudden tension with the ambient you've got there. Great video and awesome ideas, Tango! Can't wait to see Decked Out it it's full glory, and also play it once the world file is released!
I would have never thought that transporting wardens would be easier than transporting villagers.
He's actually just sitting in his basement going crazy and this is all in his head
The background music is absolutely amazing, it actually works as proper minecraft cave noises.
when you get the wardens for decked out you might need a second pair of hands to nametag them in case your not fast enough
I knew the Wardens weren't going to despawn, waited for the hilariously thrill ride 😂 wasn't disappointed
Looks like decked out will be up and ready just after the hype wave of TCG finally chills out. What a server to play on. Plus we've got a silly prank war going on with doc and the buttercups to keep us entertained until then.
Once Decked Out is up and running, it would be interesting to see a behind-the-scenes video talking about all the out-of-game planning and admin/upkeep stuff that goes into it, like the spreadsheets and notes and stuff like that. Probably wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea, but I'm sure some people would find it fascinating.
If you don't already watch Tango's streams, you should. He talks about that process a lot. It would be cool to have it all in one video though (but I reckon after this he's probably going to sleep for a month straight 😂)
“He come! He come fast!” -TangoTek 2023
That sound mod is awesome. Now if you wanted to have a sound that only plays in one room that’s possible too!
21:05 "Extra Special Hug"😂😂
That got me laughing out loud
I was thinking to myself just a minute ago: “I bet Tango will upload again fairly soon”, and here we are!
Brave Sir Tango ran away.
Bravely ran away away.
When danger reared it's ugly head,
He bravely turned his tail and fled.
Yes, brave Sir Tango turned about
And gallantly he chickened out.
Swiftly taking to his feet,
He beat a very brave retreat.
Bravest of the brave, Sir Tango!
If you add a room for extra "staff" in case a Warden gets pillaged, or a Pillager gets wardened, or any other combination of "friendly fire" amongst the Decked Out staff, I vote it be called the break room.
I love the ambiance, there’s been so many cool cosmetic enhancing mods/data packs in hermit craft for so long and what better place to put them on full display than deck out II
I have never laughed so hard from a UA-cam video. Your reaction during the entire nether transportation was priceless. Thanks for the laugh tango
Thank you Tango! Watching those Wardens rumblin-bumblin-stumblin down the hallway gave me the biggest laugh I've had in a long time!
Sir your excitement and enthusiasm for this project are contagious. I can not wait
I imagine it gets tiring to move the ravagers all the time. Curious if Cub would be keen to help out. Feels like his kinda thing
That is amazing with the disc range Tango... and your enthusiasm/excitement is catching.
11:00 When speed is the goal, a hoe can almost insta-mine all things Skulk -- from the skulk blocks to the shriekers, catalysts, and sensors :)
And apparently if you mine a triggered shrieker before it finishes its shriek, the warden won't come any closer either.
For me, soundtrack and sound design are equal in importance to gameplay in a good video game. Tango, you've absolutely nailed the creepy music. I LOVE dynamic music like in Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom or Rain World, and to hear another instance of it, in FREAKING MINECRAFT, is amazing. I can't wait to see everyone's playthroughs
You should add some sound when somebody enters the dungeon that's like "Good luck to ye that travel in this dungeon" or something like that
The new audio “droning” sounds like Skyrim cave ambience. I like it
Imagine just setting the disc range to like a couple thousand block radius, and the just set up a timer that randomly plays the "shut up" disc
Should've totally shown off the model of Deepfrost Citadel in the episode. And also noticed the lack of Hot Guy carpet in the storage.
Keep it up Mr. Totally Brave Tango. Can't wait for hermits to be eaten by ravagers, wardens and vexes.
"manly squeals" Has Skizz been training Tango??
You could seriously have yourself silently walking through the levels with the ambience and background music just be the trailer for Decked Out 2 and it would be immensely effective
19:33 brave sir tango ran away. bravely bravely ran away. when danger showed its ugly head he bravely turned his tail and fled....
Tango Decked Out going to be epic can't wait to see the other hermit play
18:00 omg that jump scare was amazing
Those thunder sounds will definitely add to the ambiance of decked out….. a suggestion if you don’t already have it
Warden chase down a tunnel needs to be it's own minigame!
Atmospheric ambient sound design, top notch 🤌
21:35 I legit thought the thunder was another hermit dying, like this was an episode of Limited Life 😂
Glad I’m not the only one who got Pavloved into being hyper aware of the minecraft thunder sound 😂
Omg!!!! Getting the warden was terrifying and very impressive!! Those levels are going to be absolutely terrifying and I can't wait for the other hermits to get to them
An idea I just had is in walls with stone brick or blackstone brick walls, you could do the Zelda thing where you put two cracked ones of that type, and standing as close to them as possible to trigger a pufferfish detector (or maybe throwing some sort of bomb item into a hopper minecart) would open a secret door with loot or a passageway or any other hidden goodies.
no more Zelda … he said that’s done
17:47
Tango: "What's up Skippy? How's it going?"
18:00
Also Tango
*Buuu BUGA BU Buuuuuu*
Wow! That is sooo great! I was worried about the sounds getting out of sync or something at the start of the video, but having a single line controlling a single audio player will make it sooo much easier for you!
“Manly squeals” 😂
Fantastic vocabulary Tango. 😂
18:00 another excellent Tango noise 😂
Tango: They'll despawn on the nether side, those chunks aren't loaded.
Doc: *(laughing in Technical Minecrafter)* Every good doomsday weapon requires a chunk loader.
You can try using the new Cherry Leaves as possible Flying Snow.
Seeing and hearing Tango get the poo scared out of him at that moment was amazing. I really, really needed that laugh, more than I even knew I needed it. Thanks Tango! I hope that your chair isn't ruined from that scare lol
With the new Audioplayer feature the entire server can now be told to "sHUT uP!"
18:00 and that's the moment Tango's soul left his body.
Decked Out terrifies me already and it’s not even finished yet! Awesome sauce.
