thank you so much for being a great teacher :) I love the way the sweater came out. the best part is knitting from the bottom up instead from collar down. ty again
I'm at the 1st armhole. Can you explain every time she says "pattern", I'm not certain what to be doing. The Pdf is gibberish to me. Really beautiful sweater, though.
Hi Sheila, great tutorial! I enjoy doing basket stitch. It makes like a brick effect too. You explained it very well for people who don't know how to do it. Thanks so much for a fab tutorial Sheila!. 😊mandy xxx
Hi Sheila Thanks for the tutorial.Wonderful pattern emerging .You have patiently gone through the steps .I would like to know how about the sleeves how many stitches did you put n how did you go about it
Wow! I guess I'm going to have to learn to knit English style cuz I don't really know how to translate this to Eastern Russian knitting which is what I do cuz I basically threw out everything I didn't like about learning to knit and that's what I actually ended up with, which I think is the easiest way to knit that there ever was. Knits and purls are the same stitch but the knits are just done on back side of the needles. It's hard to learn how to knit on the internet because hardly anybody actually tells you what kind of knitting they're doing or teaching you. During watching a video on how to knit quicker, the young lady said oftentimes people will switch from Continental knitting to English purling because it's easier and then switch back on the next row. I think that's pretty cool idea because it would keep me from getting dyslexic while trying to figure out which way to wrap the yarn... but then Roxanne Richardson taught away to backwards knit that's easy and works and looks like Purl when you have to go across a wide expanse. I guess I'm going to have to learn all kinds of knitting so I can do everything I see cuz I'm learning from everyone who makes a video. My problem is I have been in crocheter since I was 11 years old and I just cannot seem to hold my yarn in the other hand and get all the other movements coordinated. Oh, and by the way I think it would help us if we saw you correct mistakes made because some of us don't know what you're talking about and it would help us recognize when something is wrong how we can fix it if you let it be seen instead of pausing your recording.
Hiya Sheila luv if did this stitch on a jumper that’s just a plain pattern stocking stitch , would it make a difference to the size with it being purl an knit stiches does it bring it in smaller , would love a jumper in this pattern love your tutorial very good teacher 😁💕💕😘
Hi Sheila, I've just come across your channel and wondered if you could help me. I am a complete beginner and have managed to knit a hat and mittens so far but the cardigan I was hoping to knit I just don't understand the pattern and really want to knit it for my first grandchild due Dec. Can't put images on or i'd show you but if doing a cardigan do i knit the back of cardigan as same for sweater? what does it mean but turn and put rem sts on holder. totally confused Oh just noticed I'm in Newcastle upon Tyne too.
I like your tutorials except I wish you would put a tablecloth on your bench top..the sound every time you put the needles down or scrape on the bench top really grates on the nerves
Lovely pattern Sheila, thankyou for taking the time to show us all 😊
