    I’ve got a 24 reg one. Had it 6 months and love it. I’ve got the Sportline 85X and I’m loving ev life. It’s huge inside and can carry virtually anything. It’s silent, fast, comfortable and got great mileage. I don’t do big journeys, so home charging is enough for me. The only downside is side is, it won’t wash itself! 😢😂😂

    STILL the EV I'd have. It's just the most complete all rounder available today - it does everything with such ease while looking refined.
    No silly gimmicks, no neck snapping speed, no stupid compromises: just a sensible, well thought through, highly competent car.

    I have an OG Enyaq which I got in June 2021 in Silver with 21s and a few options including ACC and heated front seats. It has done 35000 trouble free miles and drives beautifully. This new facelifted one in high spec looks like it competes with Audi Q4. Really well built and designed Great review.

    I recently did a road trip driving 2022 Enyaq across part of Europe and back and its absolutely amazing car, truly shocking in a positive way. Imsimply did not expect EVs can be so predictable and easy to control at any speeds. The interior is excellent, with only one minor deficiency: The lower part of the dashboard curving into the central console, specifically for my height and seat position, was poking me into my knee and that is not comfortable doing a long drive. Other than that, it's an amazing car, even when its not a flashy trim 👍

    I have a 22 plate Enyaq in the mint green and I LOVE IT ❤️ x love the colour of the new one although not too sure about the skirt being silver? BUT WHY ARE THE CUP HOLDERS IN FRONT OF THE BUTTONS and yes I am shouting this! If you put a travel coffee cup in or a sports bottle you can’t reach the buttons, why are they not turned 90 degrees? I can honestly say hand on heart this is the only thing I hate about my Enyaq. I have test driven a few EVs now, tested all passenger positions and the Enyaq is right up there.

    Still loving my Enyaq Pete & like these updates! I keep an eye on the Enyaq forum & there are a few gremlins with them atm(the 12v battery - software glitches etc) My 12v battery was changed just before Xmas as original was faulty! Could be just a Skoda problem or a VAG group issue as they are all on the same platform! Maybe you could keep an eye out for these issues with your connections! I also like the colour of car in video maybe for my next one?

  • @johnminshall242

    I like the colour; it would go well with the greenery out here.
    As a bicyclist and curmudgeonly OAP, I enjoy sharing the road with EVs. Thanks to the MANY mirrors on my bike AND my helmet, I can fully enjoy EVs' relative lack of intrusive noise.
    Škoda could do well here in Hawai'i, but they'd have to wear their sister company VW's badges to be recognised for the excellent cars they make. We've got a lot of ID4s in my neighbourhood, so there's a (teeny-tiny) market out here.

    Looks great and in general I’ve really like Skodas for a while now. I’m certainly not the target market for a big SUV like this but for those who are, this does look a good option. I don’t really care what drive train a car has. Some people seem to flip out if a car uses electrons or some form of oil derivative to make it go but I’m not really fussed either way.

      Where have you been for the last decade? Most cars for the last decade haven't had spare wheels. They add weight and cost, so manufacturer's either don't provide them, or they are sometimes optional, but not always. Our last 3 new cars haven't had spare wheels, and 2 didn't even have space for a spare.

    • @DavidFisk-q8d
      @DavidFisk-q8d 10 днів тому

      @@johnnodge4327 Not sure where you live but here in Australia tyre repair options can hundreds of miles apart bitumen or dirt road/tracks. Tyre levers can be hell on non-steel rims, and it has been a few years since I had a vehicle with split rims. I haven't been able to swap cars in the last 12 years so I am happy that the Freelander 2 is still old style, with a full-sized spare. Have managed to have at least 3 nails/screws in tyres, usually left rear. All my cars/utes and 4WD's have all had at least 1 spare to work with since 1973. Old habits die hard. So in my books 1 spare beat the hell out of no spare anywhere, Tyres and can be a life saver especially in the bush. Cheers

    @stevencampbell1150 4 дні тому

    Having been in one of these as a passenger they are well finished and I prefer the look of the new ones over the previous gen and I would say you should have no bother getting your bike in as I can get my bike in the back of my Corolla sport tourer and it only has 4 litres less than the Skoda and whilst mine is a smaller bike I'd say you should have no bother, I'd still like to see if you can get your bike in the back for future reference for though I have no intention to buy one at present as I've only got my present car just under a year I wouldn't rule an EV in general out in the future once I can get one that I could afford to buy and insure as the Skoda is far too expensive for both reasons and I also would like one I can carry my bike in so it would be something like that I would consider but I think the manufacturers need to realise we aren't all getting these on leases or company cars and so they need to sort out their pricing in tandem with the insurance companies sorting out better deals for folk there too.

    Another clever but sensible design by Skoda, albeit just an update. I continue to be amazed at how Skoda continue to show up VW who are meant to be the more premium middle class brand. I cannot think of a reason why you would chose the more expensive ID.4 over the Enyaq. I cannot really understand the VW Group’s strategy to position Skoda’s so close to the VW brand products as they have abandoned the low cost value sector which Renault are successfully exploiting with their Dacia marque. Whilst I admire what Skoda have achieved surely they should have stayed closer to their roots. Surrendering the position of the top selling car in Europe to the Dacia Sandero can only to attributable to a huge strategic misstep. The redoubtable Ferdinand Piëch must be turning in his grave.

It looks better, the new colour is stunning. I am happy with the facelift, but this is not a 'NEW' enyaq as it was advertised.

    So the government is forcing EVs on drivers (aka “Voters”) they are not a suitable replacement for many drivers ICE cars, banning already clean ULEZ compliant petrol and diesel cars from 2030 (which would be even cleaner and more efficient with further more evolution), yet championing the construction of a 3rd runway at Heathrow that alone when in use will probably generate more CO2 than that saved by switching to EVs (which need to be driven 50000 before you offset the CO2 generated in making them anyway- by which time they will be obsolete, unsellable and probably scrapped - so no environmental benefit at all). And China is building 158 regional airports - anything we do is a tiny drop in the ocean and inconsequential.

    If efficiency is to be the goal then manufacturers can’t keep producing huge bricks of cars with ever larger wheels. Manufacturers and buyers need to embrace aerodynamic efficiency.
    Makes no sense to me.

    • @johnnodge4327
      @johnnodge4327 10 днів тому

      Larger wheels means lighter tyres, so there's a weight saving, although a small one.
      All cars have got huge, even a family hatchback is as large as an SUV from a decade ago, as buyer's want space inside. Also ever increasing crash worthiness tests mean larger vehicles to give optimum protection for occupants.
      But yes, if we want to seriously reduce emissions, we all need to be driving tiny efficient vehicles.

    Sorry but unless they find a way to get below 40k then who's going to won't to pay hundreds or thousands to tax the car, it won't drop till 6 years old and by then it won't have the range and warranty on battery would be 2 years. The car makers needed to have grown a pair and directly challenged the ev idiosy mandate, is the same bs going on in Europe

    • @johnnodge4327
      @johnnodge4327 10 днів тому

      It's not thousands for a start. As of April 25, the first year of EV VED is £10.
      Cars over £40k (it's too low IMO) will have an additional £410 levied on them, meaning £600 VED for years 2-6.
      It's not just EV's that are paying more VED, as most ICE vehicles will also be paying more, some vehicle rates will double, so VW Golf that was £220 PA, is going up to £440, and large polluting vehicles like LRs and RRs are going to be paying up to £5,000 PA VED.

      @johnnodge4327 I must have seen it wrong then, but even having to pay 600 minimum from year 2 to 6 is a cost that the every day Joe looks at when buying a second hand car, we'll I do, I got rid of 350 tax car to a 190 just so it's a euro6 but the actual car I wanted was 700 tax but I couldn't justify it. The legacy makers should of tackled the government on the ev mandate bs years ago or even built cars that people want and are able to afford. To get a car below 40k means a crap battery range, I live in a rural area so to get to the next big towns it's 20 miles in each direction so if I could afford an ev I want a minimum of 350 range, every day I drive 40 miles and every other evening I drive 100 miles and weekends it can be 200 miles due to kids sports training and games and with my petrol car I do this with one tank a week, 40k is not luxury it's an average now a days.

    Still a boring car. There are so much more electric cars that look better and have a better range and faster charging speed.

    😭"SKODA" across the back front and steering wheel has to be the tackiest naff thing I've seen re car badging😢😢
    Youre never really hoing to do a "long" drive in one because it still has crap range in real world driving.

    If they could add wheels from BMW then they’d have a world beater. Sadly these wheels are like every EV, generic and forgettable

    Skoda are constantly emailing me about these and the Elroq….. I can only assume they are desperate to get rid of them but I have absolutely no interest in crappy electric cars…. As my current Skoda is an Octavia VRS petrol you would think they would realise I’m not the target market for this garbage…

      @ Cheers but I know exactly what I’m missing. My brother has a Model Y (company car of course, he’s not that daft), and although he likes it, I think it’s hideous and soulless. My boss has an electric merc and we take my car when we go travelling on business… says it all. Electric cars have a specific use case but I resent being forced into inferior technology. When the battery tech enables a full charge in 3 minutes and the grid/infrastructure can cope they may be more appealing to the general population, although not us petrol heads…. Oh, they need to sort the styling out a well…..

      One day you will realize your VRS is a dinosaur - a great one but a dinosaur. I hope you’ll find an EV that fits you and you won’t regret dropping your dinosaur. I dropped a C63 for an Enyaq L&K and I have 0 regret. I evolved.

      Erm, can you expand on this comment? Is this your own individual experience, or is it based on wider research? And what precisely does this have to do with this review and the opinions of the reviewer? ‘Treats its customer (sic) like dirt’. Strong words, be careful what you say on a public arena…

      @@johnnodge4327 I'd echo that. I just had my Skoda serviced at the dealer. Excellent service, and no complaints at all from me... I'm on my 5th Skoda in 20+ years.
