You think that’s bad, try being the contestants during a SCSD early in Drew’s run as host who went over $1.00, and had to watch from the audience while the third contestant advanced to the Showcase on *5¢!*
The title is misleading. I was expecting something like a contest spinning the wheel out of turn with that out-of-turn result being the $1.00 space, thereby creating some controversy.
What a way for Nancy to lose- getting a $1 after spinning .15 the first time.

I hate it when people get the dollar one spin too late... and especially after you come so close on the first spin (either 15 or 5) to get rare bad luck and go over. Not to mention losing your pricing game earlier in the episode makes it even worse to have these kind of disappointments.

1:46 Why would you spin on $.65? You should have stopped there. I'd rather have a spin off than give up a potential spot in the showcase.
I think he wanted to take the risk of trying to get that 35 in the second spin, but although it was pretty close, it didn't get there (15 would have also been okay had it stopped). There's also a risk of staying on $.65 where the last contestant could beat it with $.70 or above. Sometimes it comes down to luck in certain circumstances.
