He’s truly refreshing to listen to. He’ has obviously come to terms with his life and put himself in a good perspective with his faith. I’m from Buffalo and saw a segment when he was on the news, he goes and helps people spiritually these days. You can tell Elizabeth’s death and his own hardships had an impact on him and some people come out of that for worse or don’t survive (like Elizabeth), he chose the path to try and come out a better positive person.

Just look at his eyes. When he was younger, there wasn't much life behind them.. Now, his eyes are so full of joy and personality. That really says it all.

Dude, he played a character back then. His character was emotionless, narcissistic and cool. So of course his eyes were "lifeless". Would've been total out of character for him to show this side of his.

He has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ now. I heard him speak in front of a small crowd (maybe 100 or so people) in a church in Georgia. He gave his testimony, and it was incredible. That relationship makes all the difference.

He played his heel character well and part of that was probably carrying that over with the other guys, but most people who didn't like him prob think he was a weak in ring worker and it's more the lesser guys who trash lex with a beer in their hand in these motel shoot interviews out of jealousy, because of his perceived working ability and the pushes he got. What a wonderful guy and as usual a fantastic interview.
I’ve heard ppl criticise Hannibal and the interviews, usually because his voice is quite and low, but I feel he is one of the few that actually can do an “Interview”.
Many like Conrad treat these shoots as a conversation, like they are the star and the person ppl want to hear from.
That’s not the case, that’s why I also like WSI but that is a little to much quick fire sometimes as if they are rushed and James often has his questions lined up and he can just go from one topic to another.
Hannibal on the other hand takes his time, he’s not afraid of a few seconds of silence which his guests often then often use to elaborate on the topic and story and we get far more insight and information.
I’m not sure if there is any of his interviews I dislike, he’s great at doing these and because of his inside knowledge doesn’t waffle on asking stupid questions that 90% of fans already know the answer too and don’t want to hear again.
So Hannibal my good man… Bravo 👏 bravo 👏 bravo 👏 this one especially was fantastic.
Lex comes across as a wonderful guy who’s gained humility and is a extremely humble and personal.
He seems very honest and genuine and is the complete opposite of the Lex we’ve heard described by two faced dirt birds like flair and others. ❤❤❤

Interesting career retrospective. I respect Luger's openness and honesty here... I was a fan since first buying a PWI with the cover "Lex Appeal" in about '88!!

Lex use to have one of the best physiques just amazing. He was a great heel because I couldn't stand him, but all heels are the nicest people outside the ring. He didnt talk trash about anyone.

What a great interview. When Lex hit the scene in JCP and wanting to be an "associate" to the Horsemen, it was like, "Who is this Dude?...WOW!"
The Total Package Lex Luger was a great heel and a solid Horsemen. I like the fact that he was put with Ric, Tully, and Arn, trained with them and lived the Horsemen lifestyle 24/7. If Vince wasn't such a jerk, Ole and Lex should have been inducted into the WWE HoF with the Horsemen as well.

I met Lex once. He was at the top. He was with Elizabeth when I met them both. Lex to me was honestly the nicest guy. He gets a bum wrap because of what happened. I can say nothing but nice things from when I met him. I wish him all the best.

I really respect how Lex admits that he was very egotistical early in his career. He seems truly grateful that Sting gave him another chance and they became lifelong friends. Lex may have matured later than most people but ultimately he became a real gentleman and a true Christian. Many people who were out of control in their 20s and 30s never find that internal peace and live a turbulent existence right up until the day they put them in the ground.

I know with today’s fans it’s cool to hate guys like Lex but honestly I always was a fan of his. The only time he wasn’t over is after Vince killed him by that stupid finish at SummerSlam 93. I was glad he came back home down here in the south to WCW in 95. Guys like Lex, Flair, Sid, Steiner Bros. Road Warriors , Arn and Tully, Barry Windham , and Ron Simmons , even when they went to WWF they never felt like WWF guys , they were always NWA/WCW guys to me.

Love me some Lex. Rooted against him my whole childhood. The (my) four horsemen turning on him made me very happy. So, watching these videos you learn who people really are. Humble, respectful, nice guy who clearly has gained perspective as life goes along (like the rest of us). Thanks Lex, loved rooting against you all those years. Hope health is better going forward.

Lex should be in HOF he was at the top from the start of his career to the end. Whether people like it or not because of jealousy doesn't matter, he has went through good times snd terrible with everything that happened with Liz that was awful and it wasn't his fault everyone makes a choice and Elizabeth made her's. No disrespect to her but he took the blame for all that. Nobody makes you do drugs snd drink. Im glad Lex is smiling and just living the best life he can..
