    If shoot interviews could feed I'd eat Honky Tonk shoots everyday lol they're some of the best. You just get a vibe when a wrestler is being authentic or not. Honky Tonk Man is 100% authentic. The dude is old school and he walks like he talks.

    thanks for posting, honky shoots were always legendary, he definitely helped making this kind of content famous. Only blame he should take is for being a really entertaining SOB and great story teller.

    Is it just me or are the Honkey Tonk Man interviews more entertaining when he appears very, very not sober? “We was doin’ a show in Seattle in ‘90 and I ran into Bruce Lee at the fish market, now he looked like a million bucks, but he wasn’t a good worker, and he didn’t respect the business.”

    Thank you for this Honkytonk Man interview 👏🏾. As a child, I very much loved Pro Wrestling. As an adult, I very much still love Pro Wrestling, and I wish the Honkytonk man was my Pro Wrestling Uncle.

    Grew up watching HTM in the Birmingham area Southeastern Championship Wrestling, (then known as Punk-Rock Wayne Ferris)...Ive never seen a wrestler get "more with less" than him...He definitely wasn't the most polished wrestler, BUT he could generate "Heat" with the best of them...He knew his role as a heel, and he performed it with excellence.

    From Sydney Australia. Remember him when I was a kid , couldn’t stand him but love his shoot interviews. He puts his words together well and has great stories . Don’t know about this interviewer though .

    What happened to the Honky Tonk Man podcast "Shake Rattle N Roll" That he had in the early 2010s?? I remember he had Angry Grandpa on there in a segment etc.. Then it all just disappeared. What happened?... Honky if anyone should have his own podcast. The guy can talk!

      Yes he definitely should still have a podcast. I remember listening to a few of his podcasts ages ago. One where he was taking to piss out of Piper. Who was a good guy but did tend to take himself & his gimmick too seriously at times.

      And good for him. At least hes not in the wrestling "Death Of Fame" of that era.

    Jerry Lawler released 2 "Best of" vhs tapes of himself. I discovered them in 1986-87. On those tapes is the famous Tupelo Concession Stand Brawl. Which I learned of Larry Latham & Wayne Ferris.

    I never knew that about the punk rock gimmick back in the day. I always thought he shoulda updated his thing to a punk rock/rockabilly thing in the 90's. he woulda fit right in coming out with a leather jacket on during the attitude era. Same character of the Honky Tonk Man just updated.

    @38:00 The circle gets broken or when a wrestler goes way over the edge. Doing something that Vince cannot cover for him anymore. And has the distance himself and the company from the wrestler 💯

    The worst part about all my 80's heroes is the ones that aren't dead are poor and destitute because back then these guys just didn't get paid to kill themselves 300 days a year. tragic tragic stuff.

    I never cared for the Honky Tonk Man. I didn't hate the character like I did and still do Ric Flair. Rather, it just elicited total disinterest. I like Wayne Ferris, but Honky Tonk Man was a character that never worked for me.

    To entertain, to stare into a camera for 3 minutes is a long time. I sang telegrams, lots of costumes. Some gigs no interaction to play off of. Lasted forever, better have a script memorized in your back pockets.

      Honky became likeable because of all the shoots and interviews he has done through the years. He stood up! He told the truth about everything, even when it would cause him heat. That is why at the Hall Of Fame, ppl started chanting "You deserve it!". Who else have gotten a chant like that!
      It was not bought, he earned every bit of it, through blood, sweat and tears!
      And his name is: Roy Wayne Farris! Remember it!
