My aunt wanted to pound him during his years in Memphis, she moved to join our family in California, just in time for us to catch the WWF live together, and guess who was there but ol' Chicken Lips himself.Thank God she left her loaded purse at home🎉.😂

So, the man took ridiculous bumps in the Piper Adonis match then was out there for his champs and DD vs. The bulldogs and Tito then gets a python thrown on him by Jake and Alice, absolutely the unsung hero of Wrestmania 3 the ppv that put Wwf on the map.

I've always referred to Jimmy Hart as the unofficial MVP of Wrestlemania 3... He was so involved through-out the show, taking so many memorable bumps, the guy definitely earned the money he made for that show

As a 7 year old kid, the first wrestling I was exposed to was Manias 8 & 9, my older cousins that I looked up to rented them one summer when we were staying over and I was immediately awestruck. But one of my favorite angles at that age was the finish to the Hogan/Beefcake vs Money Inc. tag match where the ref got knocked out and Jimmy Hart rips off his jacket, flips it inside out to a referee black/white stripe and made the 3 count. I was 7 and obviously now it's ridiculous but then it was utterly amazing to me. But even as a 7 y/o I was sooo disappointed that Bret Hart got screwed and had to let Hogan come in and win the belt. Regardless, those are still my favorite Manias to this day. Such good memories, such amazing characters.

Man, I would let Jimmy tell me bedtime stories every night. I hate long interviews but this man is a legend. He deserves his own A&E WWE LEGENDS biography. And it should be a 2 part episode. He knows where all the bodies are buried and everything in between. Love Jimmy Hart!

Jimmy knows the shit we want to hear! This is what wrestling interviews and podcasts should be. Not wrestlers talking about the current shit or current events and their opinions on politics. I wish a lot of these guys just understood the more old stories, the better.

I grew up at just the right time and in the right area, because every Saturday morning I'd watch Memphis Wrestling (thanks to WAVE-TV in Louisville, KY) and watch Jimmy Hart make Jerry Lawler's life miserable. Jimmy may be the most talented man who ever worked in wrestling.

This guy is amazing. So much knowledge - of course I love him advocating for health insurance but I also liked his point about the heel making a percentage of the babyface's merch sales when the heel is entrenched in a major program with said babyface, putting him over and making him look good. Probably would be a very unpopular thing but stuff like this is intriguing to consider. These types of guys need to be involved in the business today, in any capacity, but particularly as agents or bookers or even consultants helping wherever possible.

Just a fantastic interview with the Mouth of South Jimmy Hart. I think Jimmy turns 80 in January and I want to wish him a early Happy Birthday. Number 80 is a monumental birthday.
I've never seen a video or listen to the Gentry's music that I know of. Does anyone know where I can find it? I will check UA-cam later.
Jimmy is one of the good guys in wrestling. I'm glad he's out living almost everybody in that dangerous profession.
Did his son survive that terrible war in Iraq? I hope so.
