Rose water mixed with rosemary essential oil and vitamin e oil in a spray bottle has caused an increase in growth and thickness in my roots. Smell good too!
Khalilah Atkinson what type of vitamin E?
The best thing to do is starve your hair , Go a week without oil. I'm a darskin man and I only use water. Aloe shake out once a month. It gives your hair actually time to think about what it needs. That's for anything you grow ,Not only just hair.
What does your complexion have to do with your hair care regimen🧐
bruh lol just say black
This one lady started doing my hair and told me to not use water, just oil and I listened to her because my locs weren’t in the best shape at the time but they were doing okay and then now, mid summer, i have breakage and thinning everywhere and now I have them doubled because i wanted thicker locs anyway and I’m patiently waiting for all these patches to grow up so I can put them with the thicker locs but I’m upset. My natural hair needed water to retain moisture and so does my locs. Don’t listen to these hair stylist. Like she said, “know your hair”.
Yes locs need water. Our hair is like a plant lbs. People think the hair grow by being dirty oily etc when that's not right. It actually stops or lessen the growth. Sorry that happened to you
Get a mist bottle with water spray your hair every other day or 2
Beautiful! I agree each person needs to decide for self! I have suffered so from product build up that I am at a standstill! Just water and we shall see! 💚
Like she said...learn what works for your hair.....I use mostly water and a tiny bit of my favorite oil mixed in a spray bottle to moisturize my locs daily. This works for me....to much oil on my scalp clogs my pores.
I mix water, castor oil and tea tree oil together in a bottle and spray my hair. it actually does something to my hair. it's not dry and hardly any dandruff. sometimes I would grease my scalp with castor oil. your videos has been a great help, since I started watching them. fours months of locking, I made the decision in july to retwist once a month. I do have thick hair, but I find its much better that way. I did have dandruff issues, but am glad I dont have that issue anymore. thanks K.C.
Awesome, thanks for sharing
+Keisha Charmaine welcome
I'm water only as well.
I think it depends on texture. I have 4c hair and it's dyed at the tips. My scalp needs oil.
I’m just using water
You are EVERYTHING!!!! 😍 That nail color though......truly giving me life.💯💎
Thanks!
Your intro music is Everything!

The clap tho😭😂 I love ya videos. I always learn something new & you always seem to make me crack up.
Lol thanks!
I dont use soap, shampoo or toothpaste. Havent for 5 years. I am a guy with a shaved head though. Locs are in my beard.
I wish I could tolerate the scent of black Jamaican castor oil (highly recommended by so many) on my scalp🤦🏾 it did help my hair grow in thicker around my temples but I just could deal with the smell after two months of use…
I use olive oil. thanks for the tips
you're welcome love
Thanks
BEAUTIFUL
very nice!!!!!!
I use mineral water on my hair and I drink mineral water and use peppermint oil
I've never tried almond oil...I think I really only need water but in winter I add more oils. I find that my skin/face doesn't like it when I use extra oil :p thanks for this
Yeah sweet almond oil is very lightweight, give it a try this winter!
Keisha Charmaine thank you!!! I definitely will!
Your nails look great, love the color. What brand nail polish are you wearing? Your polish reminds me of Sinful Colors brand.
It's Sally Jansen Pacific Blue
Hi, how do you feel about shea butter for hair/scalp?
I feel like it is very heavy and should be used very very minimally.
thank you
Can I moisturize my locks w/ cinnamon & tea tree oil? Or are those oils not ment to leave in? Also if I can leave them in how much should I pour in my moisture bottle?
Those oils are essential oils so they should be mixed with water or carrier oils before applying to your hair/skin. And you'll only need a some drops of each. Idk how big your bottle is but I would mix enough drops in there until I can smell them.
Be careful with the cinnamon oil, too much can cause durns
hey keisha i just want to know if it is possible for your locs to lock at different times? like I started my journey in April and I got my last retwist in May. I am four months into my loc journey and I have noticed that the locs at the back of my head are forming into locs while the ones in the top of my head are still in its comb-coil form.
Yeah that is totally normal and should be expected since out hair is treated differently at different parts of our head plus our hair textures vary all over our heads. Great question!
also I heard that castor oil aids in hair growth so I mixed that with coconut oil and olive oil.
Hey Keshia, loving the color of your hair. You mentioned that you use coconut oil, have you ever noticed it stripping or fading your color?
That's not something I noticed from using coconut oil
Thanks Keisha.
Do you have any videos on how to start locks from an Afro?
You can start your Locs with a two strand twist if you're doing it yourself
How many times did you lighten your hair with 7G before you added the red color?
I dont remember, please check out my dye journey video
Great tips
Dam I got a crush on this girl.
Does water weaken your roots? That's what I've been told or at least heard.
I've never heard that before, no.
I love your hair! I want locks but I'm joining the military 😭
aw man!
I just read your post about wanting locs and joining the military. The Army and Marines have lifted the ban on dreadlocks. We've won the war on our hair. I hope you're still joining the militar with locs.
When I went to basic training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri back in 2007 I had gotten my hair in box braids because I thought it would be easier to maintain because all I would have to do is just pull it back in a bun. My first day of training 2 white male drill sergeants approached me and said "Soldier is that ur real hair" and I said No. They said "By tomorrow all of that better be out", Now mind u they were yelling and all in my face, which is what they do during basic training. I had to take out all my braids that night before the next morning or I was going to be doing some push ups. For some reason at that particular Army base they did not allow you to wear weave during training. Not sure if its still that way.
😍😍😍😍😍😍
