Thunder sounds similar as I hear it in Thailand. And different from thunder in northern countries. Years ago I lived in Eastern Europe and there, in thunderstorm season (April-October) I heard long, booming thunder that gradually fades away. And not sharp and scary, like a cannon shot, like during a tropical thunderstorm.
