Diana Ross & The Supremes "REFLECTIONS"
Вставка
- Опубліковано 16 жов 2024
- This is when they became a "SUPERSTAR GROUP"!!! Florence Ballard left a few months earlier...and you can tell they really turned up the heat!!! What do you think? They sing "Reflections" and "Lady Is A Tramp" and killed it. Check out Diana at the end of the 2nd song...SUPERSTAR!!!!
At their peak of glamour, sophistication and elegance.
Their peak was 66/67
I'm simply amazed at how well Cindy Birdsong fit right into the groove. I know that no one could ever replace Florence, but Cindy did a bang up job. Very professional in every sense of the word.
Another great Diana Ross performance!! I could sit and watch this stuff all day! These old performances bring back such great memories and Diana Ross was so good!!!! SO GOOD!!!!!! I won't see the likes of her again in the lifetime I have left!!! Wonderful performer!! LOVE HER! LOVE HER!LOVE HER!!!!!!
These are THE SUPREMES!!!!!!!!!!!! As I recall, Diane was ONE of them!
That's what you recall, Diana was and still is the SUPREMES...
@@kurtsupreme
@@cravendubose8179 I beg to differ!!!! The failure of The "Return To Love" Tour in 2000 proved once and forever that Diane is NOT The Supremes and that THEIR legacy is greater than the sum of their individual parts............and that especially pertains to DIANE ROSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Diane deserved all the worldwide embarrassment and humiliation that she received as a result of that fiasco. Diane thought that SHE was The Supremes, too..............boy, did she get a surprise!!!!!!!!!
I'll never get tire of listening to this song. Has to be one of the greatest ever from Motown.
+Gene Flores Where do you live?
Paulo Cartledge Los Angeles
Mary looks absolutely amazing! I love when she wore that blonde wig, so pretty! Happy to have met her. If you look, many many people are looking directly at her in the audience! I can see why; she’s absolutely stunning and she’s shining bright in that spotlight! ❤️💖
Mary was ALWAYS the best looking woman in THE SUPREMES! Flo was earthy and Diane was glamorous and charismatic...........Mary was PRETTY!!!!!!!!
I just don't get tired of watching this video. These ladies were the greatest, all three of them. If I have to put it in one word I'd say CLASS!
Diana Ross-one of the GREAT entertainers of our day
Another geat SUPREMES performance! Crud could sit and watch this stuff all day! These old performances bring back such great memories and The Supremes were so good!!!! SO GOOD!!!!! Crud won't see the likes of THEM again in the lifetime he has left!!! Wonderfull performers!! CRUD LOVES THEM! LOVES THEM! LOVES THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!
Terrific performances by the magnificent Supremes. Hard to top those vocals, those movements and the class that was always their trademark. No wonder they remain a legend for so many years.
supreme is no joke. these ladies run the world. party bonus with the sinatra cover.... thank you so much for posting this.
Thanks for posting this marvelous Supremes performance. It truly shows why they remain a legend. In my humble opinion this was Diana's best moment. She was awesome. But don't underestimate Mary and Cindy. Their presence, beauty, singing, performance is simply MAGICAL! The greatest trio ever.
I keep returning to this performance over and over: I love how Diana Ross "sings her ass off" (no wonder she was always so thin...LOL) in both their hit "Reflections" as well as the classic, "The Lady is a Tramp". Man, Diana Ross, Mary Wilson, & Cindy Birdsong were PERFORMERS! Thanks again, Motownbaby!
A class act The Supremes. Nothing like them before or after.
Diana Ross is still a model of class & elegance at nearly 80... The other original Supremes passed but they were very classy, elegant ladies...
Diana has a very unique voice and vocal interpretation. It may not be the most powerful, but it has emotion and vulnerability that makes these songs a step above the rest. I think she has earned our respect for her talent and groundbreaking achievements.
I love seeing them when they first started performing, Diana absolutely pops!
This NOT when they first started performing..........this is the beginning of the LAST era of The Supremes with Diane Ross...........the "Diana Ross" and The Supremes days!
My god Diana and the the Supremes are so gorgeous,I see why Diana have haters because, she's one of the greatest ever,Dianas make up is so flawless and and its alot of make up but she looks so pretty and those sparkling shiny ✨ how go head Diana I hear ya'll girls.
Indian Sage: It is Mary Wilson who looks the best here, not Diane Ross!!!!!!!!!! Are you blind?
You know Ms. Ross did her own makeup and have many talents. Truly gifted.
@@kurtsupremeno you are, get your eyes checked and HURRY..
@@cravendubose8179 I defend my statement.............it is widely accepted and documented that Mary Wilson was the natural beauty in THE SUPREMES!...........even Diane has admitted that. Diane was unique, glamorous, stylish, and charismatic with an iconic "look.". "Pretty" or "beautiful" are never words that should ever be used to describe her. See? I'll give Diane her due when she deserves it!
Everytime I watch this video it gets better and better. Mary Wilson gets more and more gorgeous each time, the gowns they wore were fabulous, of course on Diana Ross it looked like a nightgown, on her skinny stick figure everything did. The supremes are 100% of this video, without them it would be nothing. Bigbear, why did you have to return at all? We are better off without you.
All three ladies kill it. Great performance.
That all look great here ,but Mary Wilson looks stunning beautiful.....whew!!!!
This is The Supremes at their very best. Performing live and enchanting audiences. Pure Magic, Diana, Mary & Cincy.
Singers like this will probably never exist anymore because this is when people sang from the heart and truly enjoyed it!!! Love The Supremes and I will always love Dianna!!!
Well said
There's no comparison with the class and talent of these three ladies in today's female groups. Sad.
The years of Diana Ross have long since run it's course and it is one filled with controversy.
Another great performance by the Supremes. Really enjoyed the medley of standards. Great post, Thanks!!
@raremark I AGREE. MARY HAS SUCH A CHARISMATIC STAGE PRESENCE AND MAKES THE CHOREOGRAPHY SEEM EASY, ALMOST SECOND NATURE. Don't get me wrong. All three ladies are AWESOME but on this particular performance Mary shines.
Hey David Moody, she will also have people like you and me singing her praises for the rest of our lives. Love love love Miss Ross!
Please don't forget about me , I LOVE HER TOO..
@Famfriass Without denying Diana's star quality, I couldn't help but watch Mary. She is soooo beautiful and does the coreography with so much charm and professionalism that she's hard to resist. Cindy ain't bad either, quite a stage presence and a gorgeous woman. I guess that's what makes The Supremes legendary. All three of them had something to contribute.
How I love this lady and her music.
Don't you mean "THESE LADIES?????????? There are three of them! I know that Mary was the prettiest; however, shouldn't you also give credit to the other two ladies, Cindy and Diane?
NO ONE EVER IN HISTORY TOPS DIANA ROSS... SHE IS A SUPERSTAR AND AN ABSOLUTE DIVA EXTRAORDINAIRE... NO ONE COMES CLOSE... NO ONE!
I love their version of the lady is a tramp. It really brought out Diana's vocals and Mary and Cindys harmonies
This brings back so many wonderful childhood memories..
This is the time when women were pretty and talenteted
well-i'm 63 and was in jr.high school when they first came out, and of course i loved them. when flo left they still sounded great-and then there was the supremes with jean terrel and they were geat!. i just loved them all-thanks for posting this great song!!!
Diana Ross,an undeniable and eternal star.
It is said that this is Cindy' second live taped appearance with the Supremes circa September 1967. Apparently there is live footage out there taped in August 1967, but that hasn't turned up on the internet. I'm amazed at how well she fit it. Diana is clearly at the top of her game. Mary exudes that sexiness she is known for. 2 thumbs up for this performance!
I have news for you Garland English Diana Ross legacy will never die because people will still remember and sing her hits 50 years from now. All you have to do is pull up Lady sings the blues and Remember her amazing performance and #1 soundtrack and the movie Mahagony, with it's beautiful theme song will never be forgotten. She also has 5 amazing and talented kids along with 2 Grandkids and counting who will always keep her legacy going long after she is gone. The Motown Beauty and Boss will always reign Supreme even in reruns.
I've got new for you, David Moody! When Diane dies, the first thing that the obituary will say is that she was the lead singer of THE LEGENDARY SUPREMES!
What will be on yours..
After all these years I still never get tired of watching that clip. Thank you for posting Motownbaby!
Omg Diana face, flawless!
Have you seen Mary on this clip? SHE is flawless here, not Diane!
Miss Mary Wilson gives pure Supremes. Every move, step and all her mannerisms give what the Supremes were famous for. Just look at Mary move. True Diana was the lead singer but Mary is the true representation of what glamour was and still is today. You can like or not but she sets the standard for what being a Supreme is all about.
They all looked great in those custom fitted dresses. they always did. But Cindy Birdsong, OMG ! As my 8yo niece would say Get it, Get it, Get it girl.
The Greatest American Pop/Soul group of all time!
+DetroitLives313 they were never pop!!!! they were motown, a class act xx
audrey haralaambos
Well they did have 12 number one hits on Billboard's Hot 100 Pop Chart,
Pretty, talented and singing LIVE.
Take me back to that time! I can feel it all and I can see it all from those days! Love it!
People are upset about the group becoming Diana Ross and the Supremes, however, no one gave a hooty tooty flying fuck, when those other groups became Smokey Robinson and the Miracles or Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, etc.. Explain that one. You people just don't like Diana Ross. Yeah, she was manipulative, and egotistical. That's how ambition and SMARTS works. She was also the most beautiful, most graceful, had the most stage presence, had the best intonation. The other girls always sounded somewhat flat against her voice
And you Diana haters make it sound like it was a walk in the park for her. Please. She wasn't getting paid any more than the other girls. She got perks. So what, they all got perks. Diana has worked unimaginably hard to get to the top. Remember she didn't have Motown's help when the RCA years came around. She did that, produced TV shows, etc all by herself and with her companies. Her leaving Motown was about being ripped off for so many years and finally realizing it. Berry is almost like a Phil Spector in terms of paying his artists.
And as for her fucking Berry, they didn't have a child till 1970, so get over it. It takes two to tango.
Soooo damn cool. Cool never dies. The Supremes have proven over and over again to be really supreme!
Who thinks of China Beach every time they hear this…and hot McMurphy...
They were so beautiful and glamorous!
This song got robbed of #1, even tho I love Ode to Billie Joe too.
Billboard Hot 100.
wattever333 Well yeah. I meant Billboard Hot 100 which includes sales of course :)
wattever333 Okay, you are making this into way more than it should be. I just said they were robbed of #1, meaning I WISHED they had hit the top spot. Wasn't literally meaning they were robbed.
I can always watch this clip and love it. The Supremes didn't just get on stage and perform a latest hit -- they got on stage and presented a theatrical performance. To me, that's what has always separated them from being great, from other female groups who were good. All of The Supremes all had very unique, noticeable talents and beauty that made a great act altogether. They're great here!
Mary Wilson couldn't even take over the lead after the beautiful Diana Ross left the group. She was still a backup Singer, so she had no business talking about singing leads or wanting to sing leads when Diana Ross was in the group. I believe Berry and Motown knew talent and how to make it work. History has already proved that and Diana Ross deserved every glory that came her way because she was the star and she believed in herself. There was nobody who was going to deny sister her fame.
Mary Wilson and Flo Ballard were NOT backup singers...........they were each one of the three members of the ACT!!!!! The Andantes were backup singers, not Mary and Flo.
@@kurtsupreme They were harmonizers and got paid equally as lead singer a good gig IMO.
@@ernestbrown795 Diane, Mary, and Flo WERE the act..............it was a TRIO! Every group back then had a lead singer............so what?????? People didn't tune in to see Diane, they were there to watch the GROUP, The Supremes!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please knock off the "Diane Ross" revisionist history! You weren't there and you don't know what you are talking about when you speak of those days!
@@kurtsupreme Fans had their favorite Supreme. The fact is the "ACT" was becoming Diana Ross and The Supremes because it was obvious she's was the magnet to steel Miss Ross was ground zero for the Supremes. Miss Ross stated in an interview in 1975 that the girls agreed to the name change because she was doing ALL the work and they was getting paid equally....makes sense to me.
@@ernestbrown795 Diane has said quite a bit during interviews.........much of it LIES!
The Supremes are three glamorous ,beautiful and talented black women! Fantastic performance!
Mary Wilson looks fabulous
Annazayla, you speak the truth and get a standing ovation from me! Fred Ross did say that "Diane did not have a group mentality"! He knew, that's why he originally recommended his daughter Barbara to Milton Jenkins and Paul Williams to be a member of the early Primettes.
Mary Wilson is so gorgeous it's ridiculous! LOL!
True, 50 years ago all three original Supremes were beautiful brown sugar, :-()
@TheSolaris810 It takes a lot of guts to do what you've done. I admire you and I'm glad you are not one of those sickos out there who have taken personally whatever problems these ladies had in real life. Diana and The Supremes are such a beautiful legend and they will always be a source of inspiration to me and to many around the world. Thanks again!
Hey I also don't take pity on someone because their career or life didn't turn out the way they thought it should. Blaiming, other people for Florence lack of Success didn't help her either. Florence and Mary were far from Saints. You can call it preaching to the choir, but sorry I call like it is.
...............and Diane was NO saint either! If you're going to call it, call it right!
Wow! OMG!! Somebody hold my hand, that’s joy!! Xoooxxxoxxo
I want a girl-group like this! Wowzers...
Mary's voice is sooooo dominant and soothing 😊
supremes where class when flo mary and diana where together
OMG Real instruments and not computer sounds and auto-tune!!!! Love it!!
I think it's pathetic that people who have never met any of these individuals have to much to say about what did or didn't happen, who did what to whom, what was or was not fair with absolutely no facts to substantiate any of the speculation. The music stands on its own and there's no denying that Ross went on to be a superstar. How she got there is absolutely of no consequence because in the end, she'll have to make peace with her God. What's also undisputed is that no other member of the group went on to bigger and better things musically, I wonder how that's explained? Hmmmmmm
It's explained because Diane had Berry Gordy and the full muscle of MOTOWN behind her. Flo didn't and Mary didn't. I'm not saying that Flo and Mary would have been as successful if they were given that "muscle;" I'm saying that Diane got where she did as a solo act because she was overpromoted, overproduced, and thrust upon us by Berry Gordy and his MOTOWN star making machine! That's how it is explained!!!!!!!!!! Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
kurtsupreme Listen. I know you are and avid Supremes fan, and I respect that. I'm not doing the post debate thing that I see so many on UA-cam engaging in. I've got better things to do. All I'm saying is that it's pointless to play the blame game. People are going to have their opinions and beliefs and I'm sure it will rage on long after they and we are long gone!
***** Thanks for the validation...........and I agree! However, some people have "opinions and beliefs" based on facts and primary experiences, while others have "opinions and beliefs" based on promotional propaganda, marketing, and secondary sources! There is a HUGE difference between those opinions!
***** Lots of people have the energy of a star and NEVER make it because they never get that break or meet up with the agent or manager that is going to promote them. As for Diane's voice sounding great HERE, this program was taped 48 years ago. Today, her voice is SHOT!
Agreed , except for them being the biggest group ever, you old heads might not like it but the supreme only have the most number ones, not sales for a female group. While, they are the ultimate blueprint, The spice girls,TLC,Destiny's Child, and a couple of other groups have overtaken them in overall album and single sales years ago.
Beautiful, classy and professional. Entertainment at it's best
We miss you , Supremes. Love the dresses
Diana Ross doesn't need a Supreme reunion tour, never did. The tour was something the Fans wanted, but unfortunately some backup singers thought they were worth more than 4 million which was something they had never earned in their lifetime. Their still Whispers but that ship has sailed I believe unless Miss Ross does something like always but I wouldn't count on it. Diana Ross has moved on and so should the fans.
Yeah, and some lead singers thought they were worth 15-20 million which is something they had never earned before either. When you put Diane, Mary, and Cindy together, ALL of their individual values go up as they collectively become the legendary SUPREMES! You silly "Ross as a solo act" fans are still carrying on about Mary not wanting to participate because of the money.....that was just ONE factor! At least, the cancellation of that fiasco proved one thing.......and that is that Diane was NOT The Supremes! That was a hard lesson for YOU people to learn and a hard pill for you to swallow! Yes, Diane has moved on as has Mary. They are both performing their "oldies" concerts. Diane took the "Diana Ross" part and Mary took "and The Supremes!" Both are living off the legacy of the legendary trio!
Kurtsupreme you truly are a idiot!!! Diana Ross signed a 7 year 20 million deal with RCA, Records which at the time was the largest contract for a singer in the history of music. Diana Ross right now is worth more than 250 million dollars. Diana Ross makes Millions on her tour which is going on 4 years now. Instead of trying to copy what I said why don't you look up Mary Wilson net worth. Do your homework before you talk shit idiot.
And another thing Mary Wilson legacy is only being a background singer in the Supremes and singing other people's hits because she still hasn't got one of her own and to think she has been singing for 50 years without a hit of her own. Diana Ross can live of her legacy because it was her voice that stood out on all those #1 60's hits. Kurtsupreme instead of writing cap on hear you should try and find Mary Wilson a hit of her own LMAO!!!
Dearest David no ome loved the Supremes and then Diana Ross and the Supremes then just Diana ross i was too young too see the Suptrmrs live but i have seen one of our first divas miss Ross many times but Kurtsupreme is closer to the truth , Mary Wilson was indeed lead singer for a second, but thenalong came Berry and the changes began . they were a group and deserved a more equal slice of the pie..As dearly as diana is to my heart i dont think even you can find a reason Flo Ballad should have died so young and in poverty especially when she played such a major role in the divas career with a 20 million dollar contract your words i'm sure she could have given flo a better life having come from the same
First of all Diana Ross set up a trust fund for Florence kids. Secondly Diana Ross gave money to Mary Wilson when she went broke idiot. Thirdly Berry Gordy made the right choice in Ross and history has proven that a Million times over. As for Florence dying young well when you abuse alcohol and don't take care of yourself it doesn't help the situation any.
Amazing! It was a different era back then, one were talent and class really meant something. Wish I could have experienced one of their live shows.
Oh my "kurt supreme" all that Hatred & Jealousy is going to give you a Stroke!
Look what all that Bitterness did to Mary Wilson!
Not Pretty
Mary and Diane are nearly 71 years old (with the operative word being OLD). Are you speaking about looks? Mary is still more beautiful than Diane (I doubt that you have ever met Mary by your comment). Both of these women have gained weight. Yes, Mary has gained more............are you referring to weight? Are you speaking about Mary telling HER story? Isn't she entitled? Diane tells her side and so does Berry Gordy. Personally, Mary's perception of what happened is closer to my own recollections than Diane or Berry's, who seem to have recreated the history of Motown to suit their own image.....it is as though THE SUPREMES NEVER EXISTED!. Mary is a Motown outsider who has filed litigation against the corporation and has refused to disappear................ for that, she has been chastised and oppressed. Is speaking her truth what you refer to as "Bitterness?" Mary was a background singer in a group that was so HUGE and successful that a woman who didn't even sing lead can still have a million dollar career singing old songs associated with the group. Diane sings THEIR songs at each of her "oldies" shows as well. Is the fact that Mary still performs as an original "Supreme" what you are speaking about? Diane has a voice that is better suited than Mary's for the lead melody lines of The Supremes songs. Is Mary no less entitled to sing the songs of the legendary trio of which she was a part? Is that what you are referring to? Just what ARE you speaking about when you mention what "all that Bitterness did to Mary Wilson??"
kurtsupreme - Oh Girl mary old and sagging looking older than her years it must be the crack pipe, yes we have seen it lately
Martha Marvelette
Following your logic, though, Diana Ross is a leech off Berry Gordy, Motown, and Holland-Dozier-Holland, because without them, SHE would still be in the projects. To discount anyone in the Motown story as "anonymous background singers" is to trash history. Everyone involved in the Motown story has a part, a role, a name and a face. As Mary Wilson has said, the public didn't just fall in love with one black girl from the Brewster Projects; they fell in love with a trio of them. That's the Supremes story; not one girl, but three. Singing, swinging, moving, and grooving girls who did it all with a smile -- that's the Supremes story.
Lecuyer Dooley You nailed it, Lecuyer Dooley, but don't expect these SILLY "Ross as a solo act" fans who were not even born when the legendary trio reigned SUPREME to listen to the truth! They don't want to know the truth! They want to cling to the Ross/Gordy/Robinson/Depasse MYTHOLOGY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The thing that they seem to have the hardest time understanding is that, while Diane was the "centerpiece on the banquet TABLE", THE SUPREMES (collectively) were the BANQUET!!!!!! Either they can't get that or they don't WANT to get that!!!! I'm not sure which one it is!
I feel exactly where you're coming from. Diana Ross could not become Diana Ross without the Supremes, namely Flo and Mary. Even she recognizes that, otherwise she would not continue to perform Supremes songs in her solo act. Those are not her songs; those are THEIR songs. She has also acknowledged Mary Wilson's central role as one third of a three-piece unit. I don't get these fans who come on here and call Mary Wilson everything but a child of God. What in the world did she do so terribly wrong to deserve such wrath?
I remember watching this live on TV with my family, Great then and great now, especially Cindy and Mary's harmony on The Lady is a Tramp.
Mary Wilson is so gorgeous here it's ridiculous!
Been with 'The Supremes' from the beginning real Gold .
RK (NZ).
I love the Supremes! .. And this song, and the way they present it, is the quintessence of their era.
All three ladies are terrific. Talented and glamorous. A perfect combination.
brilliant, motown was the gateway for my start on the nsoul scene, a roller-coaster of 14 years
@anfieldlegend Thanks for bringing common sense to this unfortunate situation. Some people are stuck forever on things that happened in this group many years ago instead of focusing on the great things they accomplished together. The Supremes are legendary and nothing can change that.
Legendary boy I tell ya! That 3 part harmony is a BEAST! I LOVE IT IT
Ok these ladies , and the groups of days gone by paved the road for so many artist, so listen to the lyric, and the music, hell people this was before all the high tech microphones etc... priceless. Maybe that is why today's artist once in a while will record these older songs.... because they are priceless... We just can't get enough. Music the language of the world..
I seem to recall this song was theme song for the TV show China Beach.
WOW!!!! LOOK AT DIANA ON FIRE !!!!!!... JUST AMAZING THIS WHOLE PERFORMENCE FROM START TO FINISH THE BEST
They were all so beautiful and classy looking. They didn't have to perform in a bikini or sing with autotune. It was all talent.
Amen, Amen, and Amen!!! That is exactly the point. Diana Ross career is so amazing that people always have something to say whether it is Good or Bad. The Motown Starlett rise is breathtaking starting with the Supremes success, then going Solo and becoming the Star and Legend she is today. The fact that people talk bad about her is because they are really hurt that she left the Supremes and became the Star and Legend she is and was always wanting to be.
@winpointmedia man, you said it perfect. These were three very young girls thrown suddenly into superstardom, the pressure of the industry alone must have been incredible. But thank God we still got the music and these great videos.
Doolie,
Yes, I am excited for you. I remember how excited I used to get when I would get to see THE SUPREMES in person back in the 960's. The symphony orchestra does make a big difference! Personally, I would find it tortuous; however, I know how much you love the old girl. Think of me when she sings the songs of the legendary SUPREMES! I'll bet she says little to nothing about the group except to maybe mention the group's name..........if she does that much!
The Supremes, so elegant, graceful, and beautiful. Love me some Diana!!!
that was awesome! love it!
I LOVEEEE DIANA ROSSSSS AND ALSO THE SUPREMES GO GO!!! THERE WILL NEVER BE A GROUP AS GOOD AS THEM EVERYTHING FROM THE AHMAZINGGG MUSIC TO THE GOWNS AND ENERGY MEN I LOVE ITT!!!
Wow the glamour is outrageous!
They look FABULOUS and sound GREAT! #Black Beauty & Glamour!
Still here and loving them
Love this song..and all the others they sang as well :-)
Best girl group of all time x
Awesome stage design and costuming. BAM!
Those wigs are still in style!!! I can't believe it. They look hot!
Love this piece! yeeeeeeeeee haaaaaaaaaaa!
Absolutely stunning
This is awesome! Diana's stage presence, especially during the second song, is fabulous! Could you please tell me the exact year of this performance?
Diana's transformation into this slinky feline sex kitten is remarkable look at 1:52 to 2:30 she brought it in a way that provoked envy and even hatred because they knew she was something no one had ever seen or will see again and it made her a mythical creature of which other singers are measured....amazing
Very well put..FOREVER ❤DIANA ROSS
The 1st Hit of The Name of THE SUPREMES is DIANA ROSS & THE SUPREMES is "Reflections" whom later as The Opening Theme of The ABC-TV-WB Show "CHINA BEACH" from 1988 to 1991 and HITS THE HOT 40 Billboard Chart on 8/19/1967 at No. 2-2 Weeks for 10 Weeks and became Gold for $500,000 on MOTOWN RECORDS-The Parent Label.
1 million views! woo hoo! I'm not surprised. This is the best they ever looked and sounded!
Diana Ross is probably very happy. She does exactly what she loves most, performing, & is well-paid to do it in huge arenas worldwide. Her children adore her. Successive generations consistently tell her how inspirational she is to us. Her only personal regret is, perhaps, divorcing Bob Ellis in 1976, a good man who's still a major part of her life.
Yeah, it's worth it. It wasn't easy, but, it's worth it.
Diana's voice is very soulful. She just doesn't scream or holler.
Crazy beautiful clip.
