Florence Ballard died of a broken heart, caused by a friend she trusted (Diane Ross) & THE BOSS that became her lover! (Berry Gordy) A once proud statuesque "FOUNDING MEMBER" of the group she help create, "THE SUPREMES" was ousted by Diane Ross & Berry Gordy because she wouldn't go along with their plan of turning her & Mary into "bookends" of the charade that came to be known as Diane Ross & The Supremes in 1966/67 that paved the way for her "solo career" of 1969!
ROBERT A. LOFGREN JR. what Maxine Chapman was referring too is that "murder begins in the heart" and by the systematical personal attacks and belittlement FLORENCE BALLARD suffered from Berry Gordy and Diane Ross sealed her fate!
She was a drunk. She stopped showing up for concerts. Everyone tried to talk to her. She gained weight. Just have to rip on Miss Ross don't you. The greatest entertainer of the 20th century. Jeeeealous!
holly gab, Diane and Berry drove her to drink and become depressed. The music business is a tough business and people like Diane and Berry who we're torturing her to death did not help the situation. They repeatedly stabbed her and Mary in their backs. Diane and Berry.........Our Day Will Come!!!!

Mannn these ladies were absolutely stunningly gorgeous for me it’s Mary tho somethin so cute n innocent in her face Flo is bomb too tho I won’t even get started on thier voices 😮
@mitchell4000 i'm really glad diana has you to uphold her honor on youtube. i respect you taking up such a great cause.
Kkkkk
Yes I think one of their best and most iconic performances, they were at their prime here.
Utterly SUPREME
FLO!!!! What a goddess 💜
They all were
Before criticize you have to put attention and hear very well these 3 ladies of songs. Both performances are really wonderful and I remember by the 60s they were for a long time number one here in Argentina. Today isn´t easy to hear music like this. Thank you for this video, It brings to me nice memories.
Florence was absolutely gorgeous
TY,,,,,,WOW incredible very interesting great information super kool,
AAAAAAAAAAA++++++++++++ again great video I liked it a lot ,keep up the great work.
Diana’s voice was like another instrument , that high pitch and charisma , Berry Gordy knew what needed to be done , the girls harmonized And sounded amazing , so
Wish I would have been a hairstylist during these times 🤩
Flo will always be Beautiful and The TRUE SUPREME. Love You Florence And Mary Wilson.
Flo... my goodness:)
+William Mason Amen!!!
+William Mason Good taste William.
Darryl Ruiz Flo was always my favorite as well. She was awesome. To young to die.
Flo, you were awesome!!!!!
Imagine the way they were treated back stage and everywhere.....adored yet discrimated against . They were soooo brave.
Florence so beautiful, my goodness!
I love this performance!!! Not alot of groups could pull this off nowadays.
wow, Diana really forgot about her friends. What a ham!
looked cheap not a nice person
Shakti--- lol we know--- must be embarrassing to watch this today...
Fabulous performances - No wonder Diana is still selling out tours at top prices all over the world 50 years later! She is getting rave reviews in every city!
Diana is singing wonderfully here. Mary is cute. Florence is stunning and in my opinion, the most beautiful!
The most beautiful that day
@@Maatization Florence was pretty damn good looking.
I'm not saying Diana and Mary weren't because they were beauties too.
But I find Florence to be extremely beautiful.
The Supremes along with the Beatles and Stones were the 60's for me
RIP Mary Wilson
Thanks so much for uploading this grand register of this time capsule! Simply amazing!
Greetings from Mexico City*
Cynthia
Yes Florence was always Dignified and bold in performance's.
Well... ????????
flo is definitely taking this one. and i don't care what anyone says, diana mary and flo will always be supremes. all the things diana did after they were together were still in that context. it all started from the supremes. any success any of them had was on that foundation.
Faith Evans reminds me of Florence. Florence was a talented beautiful woman
thehoneyeffect yes yes yes I've always thought that
My absolute favourite Supremes song ❤
is it me or is diana look sick? first video i am seeing of the supreme... she aged well tho.. looked better as she grew
+Chimaobi Obi thanks be to God, wardrobe & makeup autumn of 1967 she BLOSSOMED!
She was overworked and had anorexia nervosa for awhile
she's not lip syncing - she's really singing. like so many videos on youtube - the sound and the video don't match up. In any case, the histrionics on somewhere are a thing to behold - so over the top with the false end and the dramatic return. but damn im impressed!!
LMAO! - classic Diana.
Even though I'm a Flo fan, I have to acknowledge Diana's die-hard desire to perform from the second she got on stage to the second she got off
Will always be the greatest!
Diana is giving all kinds of drama.....I LOVE IT!!! haha!
+caetano constantine Not me!!!!!!!!!!!
Lmao. The MOST drama! She was/is such a diva.
MickeyDs14 Who is a diva? Diane. She is a backstabbing no good selfish, conniving bitch. If you think other wise than you are a Diane Ross (QUEEN). and sorry for the insult.
Robert A. Lofgren Jr. I'm not a fan, nor am I a hater. I enjoy a lot of her music. I'm simply agreeing that her performances always seemed so exaggerated and dramatic. lol.
MickeyDs14 haha I love it. I'm here for the music. Let haters blood boil over something that happened over 50 years ago that they can't change. 😁
Merci à ma maman de m'avoir fait découvrir les Suprêmes ! ❤
Florence Ballard died of a broken heart, caused by a friend she trusted (Diane Ross) & THE BOSS that became her lover! (Berry Gordy)
A once proud statuesque "FOUNDING MEMBER" of the group she help create, "THE SUPREMES" was ousted by Diane Ross & Berry Gordy because she wouldn't go along with their plan of turning her & Mary into "bookends" of the charade that came to be known as Diane Ross & The Supremes in 1966/67 that paved the way for her "solo career" of 1969!
TWTR4EVER, YOU ARE SO RIGHT. ALTHOUGH THERE IS SPECULATION SHE MIGHT OF BEEN MURDERED, ACCORDING TO HER SISTER MAXINE.
ROBERT A. LOFGREN JR. what Maxine Chapman was referring too is that "murder begins in the heart" and by the systematical personal attacks and belittlement FLORENCE BALLARD suffered from Berry Gordy and Diane Ross sealed her fate!
Diane and Berry.........Our Day Will Come!!!!
holly gab The Supremes had 12 number one singles. Diana Ross as a solo artist doesn't even compare to the success she had with The Supremes.
46 years later and people are still commenting, picking apart and obsessing over this performance. Now that's star power. Eat it trolls.
I think they all were great and love Diana and all her dramatics LOL.
I was just noting how Flo had a very strong stage presence in this performance
