I had never tried sprouting until I watched one of Stacy’s old videos about it. I ordered the Masontops sprouting lids and some seeds and it really is so easy. I like them on salads, sandwiches and all kinds of things.
I get the wonderful nutritional value but what about the taste? I hate vegetables (I'm a work in process and doing better LoL) for the most part. Do these have a strong flavor? Smell? Thank you for any info!
I am going to try this too with the jars. I used to make mung bean sprouts more than 20 years ago in a multi level draining container & loved putting them in my sandwiches with avocado. Time to do this again. Thank your guidance and tips.

I just found your channel….thank you…i am so glad you don’t waste water….i have seen sprouting videos where they rinse and rinse and rinse and water today is a precious and expensive commodity……anyway i am 74 and i have been sprouting on and off since the 1990s….but I like to watch what others do….also i soak seeds and nuts and make salad dressings that are way better than anything you can buy and no heavy oils……thank you…..😊

I just learned about sprouting today and everyone else is channel talks about having big trays with all the special lighting system and what not. I just wanna eat healthy, so I love this little system that takes up no room at all. And no messy dirt!!
I live off grid in AZ and have to haul water. Sprouts are how I garden. I like making a fermented sprout kraut to preserve my sprouts since I don't use a refrigerator. Surprisingly my best sprouts are regular store bought lentils, chickpeas, black beans, and red wheat.

I have a question I have some unpeeled melon seeds and i have been thinking about consuming them by sprouting them untill sprouts can be seen coming out of the peel and then blending them with water to make milk and drink it as is Do you think this is right to do it like this i mean a little sprout shows that nutrients have been unlocked and i really like taste of melon seeds but it is a hassle to peel them one by one, that way I'll be able to reduce their anti nutrients as well

I started with plastic spouting containers. Just got glass and boy is that better!! My kitchen gets humid too and now I know how to combat it with the citric acid. I'm literally sprouting as I type this. The idea of sprouts makes my mouth water!!!
I jut set up 3 jars: pea sprouts, salad mix of alfalfa radish and broccoli and kolorabi. Thanks for reminding me of my sprout bags, I’ll put mung beans in one of those. Growing up my mother would make us sprout 🌱 sandwiches 🥪 ... Pumpernickel bread 😋, sprouts 🌱 , avocado 🥑. I still crave them. She also sprinkled lemon 🍋 juice on them. Again... 😋

Dogs need meat. Mostly. I doubt they would harm your dog if you gave them some but i would eat them yourself and not give them to the dog. Dogs do eat some vegetation. I pulled up my garden plants a couple years ago and had left some plants lying on the ground. My dog ate every stem as a chew toy. So that gave her nutrition Im sure. 😅 she just gnawed on some collard stems the other day. I just let her play in the garden but i feed her meat. She loves it when I share a bite of lamb, steak, or chicken liver 😂
@@margaretpollard2179 i do some “raw” and some cooked. I do chicken jerky and chicken liver and throw it in the oven for about 5-10 minutes at 350. Then take it out and throw it in a dehydrator. I do season it. Just look up good spices for dogs and pick what you have available. You dont have to season it. I promise they wont care. 😂 more of a treat than anything. They can have all the chicken strip jerky but the chicken livers need to be given less. I give them both as treats. When we feed them meat it’s usually leftovers so it is cooked how we eat it. I eat rare-medium rare steak and lamb chop. Cooked chicken. Cooked turkey. Cooked pork. We save bones in a freezer bag and make bone broths also to pour over their dry dog food.
@@leaelizabeth23 Thank you soooo very much! I have a very picky eater that has many issues. Someone dumped him in a gas station/restaurant parking lot. Trying to feed him so he's very healthy! Love a small amount of vegimite (yes, I am Australian) on toast with alfalfa sprouts on top - great for hangovers 😂 Also love mung beans ‘just’ newly sprouted in my salads, such a sweet crunch! ❤️

I've been sprouting seeds for months and love it. So easy to do. I add them to my smoothies! I use a nongmo broccoli trio microgreen mix!

@Spinderella 360, do you use just the salt brine to ferment the sprouts? Sounds yummy!

The chickens love mung bean sprouts and wheat grass. I got my mom a filter top for her birthday, she loves it.

I do season it. Just look up good spices for dogs and pick what you have available. You dont have to season it. I promise they wont care. 😂 more of a treat than anything. They can have all the chicken strip jerky but the chicken livers need to be given less. I give them both as treats. When we feed them meat it’s usually leftovers so it is cooked how we eat it. I eat rare-medium rare steak and lamb chop. Cooked chicken. Cooked turkey. Cooked pork. We save bones in a freezer bag and make bone broths also to pour over their dry dog food.
@@leaelizabeth23 Thank you soooo very much! I have a very picky eater that has many issues. Someone dumped him in a gas station/restaurant parking lot. Trying to feed him so he's very healthy! I lost 42 lbs. over the last year to get off my BP meds, now it's time to concentrate on him. Again, thank you for taking the time to help educate me. I truly appreciate it! Shalom!

We did a few broccoli sprouts and they were gone quick. Starting my second batch, and years ago did alfalfa and radish. Love them!
I asked a daughter for the sprouting lids and seeds for Mother’s Day and my birthday.
Thanks Stacy! I sprout all year long in ball jars, right on my kitchen window sill. Can’t live without them! I especially love Red Clover. So delicious on a veggie wrap with a drizzle of tahini. Yummy!

I haven’t done this in years, lol when I was in my mid 20’s!! I need to start this again!! I used the small petite lentil beans, marine lentils I believe. Love the vibe 💕
Love a small amount of vegimite (yes, I am Australian) on toast with alfalfa sprouts on top - great for hangovers 😂 Also love mung beans ‘just’ newly sprouted in my salads, such a sweet crunch! ❤️
