    I've only sprouted Broccoli seeds so far. The expiration date on my bag of seeds is 2016 so that tells you about when I first tried it and how much I've not kept up with it 😂 Thanks for the reminder! They are soaking on the counter now 🙂 I'm so thankful for people like you that are teaching others. These skills are more important than ever in our current crazy world. God bless you ❤

    I used to sprout years ago and then stopped when I had a house full of children, home schooling. I've gotten seeds and new jar lids to start it up again. Thanks for the motivation!

    I had never tried sprouting until I watched one of Stacy’s old videos about it. I ordered the Masontops sprouting lids and some seeds and it really is so easy. I like them on salads, sandwiches and all kinds of things.

      I get the wonderful nutritional value but what about the taste? I hate vegetables (I'm a work in process and doing better LoL) for the most part. Do these have a strong flavor? Smell? Thank you for any info!

      @@MonkeyToDaddy, all sprouts taste a little like grass to me but the flavor is very mild. I am also a vegetable lover though.....

    I've been sprouting seeds for months and love it. So easy to do. I add them to my smoothies! I use a nongmo broccoli trio microgreen mix!

    I always liked sprouts but never knew just how nutritious they really are. Plus, super easy to grow. Going to try this myself. I rarely comment but I have been watching you and Doug for about 3 yrs now and enjoy your channel. Not just for everything you and Doug teach us but love your humor, energy, and smiles. Those animals are a huge bonus too!

    The chickens love mung bean sprouts and wheat grass. I got my mom a filter top for her birthday, she loves it.

    I live off grid in AZ and have to haul water. Sprouts are how I garden. I like making a fermented sprout kraut to preserve my sprouts since I don't use a refrigerator. Surprisingly my best sprouts are regular store bought lentils, chickpeas, black beans, and red wheat.

      I have a question
      I have some unpeeled melon seeds and i have been thinking about consuming them by sprouting them untill sprouts can be seen coming out of the peel and then blending them with water to make milk and drink it as is
      Do you think this is right to do it like this i mean a little sprout shows that nutrients have been unlocked and i really like taste of melon seeds but it is a hassle to peel them one by one, that way I'll be able to reduce their anti nutrients as well

    I just found your channel….thank you…i am so glad you don’t waste water….i have seen sprouting videos where they rinse and rinse and rinse and water today is a precious and expensive commodity……anyway i am 74 and i have been sprouting on and off since the 1990s….but I like to watch what others do….also i soak seeds and nuts and make salad dressings that are way better than anything you can buy and no heavy oils……thank you…..😊

    Broccoli and garlic are my favourite. its crazy to think there is more nutrients in the sprout than the full plant! This is great for winter. I wish I had send my sprouting stuff over.

    I am so glad that you and your husband is so willing to share all of the great information on how y'all live and the things that y'all have come up with or found out by just trying things to see how it would work for your body and i am now looking for that same thing for us and that is looking for the right piece of land that we want for us and if y'all have any great information for me to help find some land that would be so grateful on our behalf because I really want to own our own piece of land so I can make everything better for us to live a much better life ......... and love seeing everything that y'all post ...... and i can only say thank you so much for sharing the videos.......

    Growing up my mother would make us sprout 🌱 sandwiches 🥪 ... Pumpernickel bread 😋, sprouts 🌱 , avocado 🥑.
    I still crave them.
    She also sprinkled lemon 🍋 juice on them. Again... 😋

    When I was a kid one of my favorite snacks was crackers with cream cheese and alfalfa sprouts. Nobody sells those in our area anymore so I may try growing some

    Love a small amount of vegimite (yes, I am Australian) on toast with alfalfa sprouts on top - great for hangovers 😂 Also love mung beans ‘just’ newly sprouted in my salads, such a sweet crunch! ❤️

    I just learned about sprouting today and everyone else is channel talks about having big trays with all the special lighting system and what not. I just wanna eat healthy, so I love this little system that takes up no room at all.
    And no messy dirt!!
