3:12 even after 25 years to see a song still have this joyous effect is brilliant...timeless, timeless 😍😍
Love Nicky Wire, it's like a glam ostrich has escaped onto the stage.
brilliant performance, when you sound this good, you can do whatever you want on stage
Brilliant
Perfect description ❤️
I love this Comment 😁
Hahaha really 😁
Pure class and don’t forget the driving power of the drums and the beautiful orchestral arrangement make this song one of the most underrated songs ever
Who underrates it?!
Yes class is the issue ;)
Imagine writing a song this good
Absolutely. Fucking incredible
still has some of the THE best lyrics of all time.
Possibly the greatest song what has ever been written.
Well said
Gets better as time goes on.
My country flag on his chest!! I'm surprised 17 years later of had being in Cuba. I love this band, thanks United Kingdom for have this kind of jewels!!!
A hell of a drummer
Muk Sav so underrated
And composer
Brilliant
Superb
A hell of a band
Nicky Wire in particular but the Manic’s have always been the epitome of “Don’t be afraid to be you”
Lovely to see Cardiffs Boy Azooga looking on and loving it.The Manics deserve so much credit for how they have made people take a look at Welsh music.
💯
Probably one of the oldest CDs in my collection. Without checking, i must've bought it in the early to mid 90's but i still dig it out for a listen when i'm struggling for something i still like. These guys are the real McCoy.
James is 50 in 13 days !!!! Guitar Hero ? Oh yes sir def for me...love you Bradders.
JDB sounds great. The extra guitars add an extra layer to the sound. Giving it a fuller sound. I like it
One of the most underrated bands of all time. Been to see them a few times and are still the best live band I’ve ever seen
Libraries gave us power!!
Seen TMSP a few years ago live in Oslo, they opened up with motorcycle emptiness and i almost cried, what an incredible night 💚
I’d love to go see them in Oslo, or any Nordic country for that matter. Something special about seeing a band you love there, I saw rhcp in Finland in 2017, amazing experience . I’m from Ireland but seeing a band abroad is part of the adventure
Was fortunate enough to see them in Auckland on their 'Send Away the Lions' tour in 2013. The best live performance I have ever enjoyed (sorry, even eclipsed Queen at St James Park!). This is an absolutely outstanding performance of an outstanding track from an outstanding album.
I was at that show as well was amazing!! I got JDB guitar pick that night
After all these years! They still sound amazing!
Great song, great band, James is still a great singer even after all these years
Incredible songwriting. Even just the basic guitar chord progression. I think this is the first song they wrote and released after Richie's disappearance, there's a great story behind it.
I think it may not be beyond reasonability to say the Manics are the greatest UK band to come out of the 90s, even better than Radiohead. Because, not only did they reinvent themselves during that time several times over, their output over the following decades has consistently been excellent. And this song is their masterpiece. They haven't lost their relevance, or become a nostalgia act.
Definitely the most important band of the last 30 odd years ... the lyrics stand up now more than ever especially since the past 4 years ❤
Don't get the negativity, this is a brilliant version, the extra guitars really add to the song! Full of energy, absolutely love it.
Here's my theory; There's nothing wrong with the arrangement or the performance. It's the Manics, it's top notch. It's the Studio. I don't know what it is about the Maidstone Studios, but it just made everything sound flat.
All Round Phenomenal Band...
Still one of my all time favourites, the manics hit me in the feels every time
Perfection is timeless. Statements that have a purpose are rare in this day and age. C'mon Croatia 😂
The classic "wah design for life"
Hahaha now I cannot unhear it
It’s gone from music to memories now. Just MSP because there music still makes me smile
That’s how it’s done . Great live version .
Wonderful!, instantly recognisable voice, great guitarist also. great band.
obsessed with this song, everything about it is perfection. ❤
genius !!! amazing performance, amazing band!
great to see they still enjoying playing this song years later!
Such a great welsh band rock solid.🎸🤘👌
Goosebumps.
My First Favourite Song.
Wait... how come there is no confetti? 😄
Anyway, a great performance of a legendary song! Glad to see that JDB is still capable of turning into a human tornado despite his age.
Fantastic song
Great intro that goes right to the end love it
From kota Bharu kelantan Malaysia with love...
Brilliant. Gotta be on my funeral list full blast 🎉
Vocal sound fantastic.
Bravo!
Greatest song ever written.
The greatest 3 opening lines to a song ever written
Beautiful Drummer!!! surely
Legends
Best version ever. Crikey . Bit of a manics trainspotter and that's so fkn good .
I'd love to hear a remixed version of this song with the guitar riff volume much much louder. This is truly a fantastic song that never received proper US recognition. Bravo.
Have you heard james' acoustic version of this song? Amazing.
Also his acoustic version of Faster is on another level.
The best live performace ever!
3 guitar players. EPIC
Amazing 😉
Brilliant
Fabulous.
The band right in the moment
Los quiero en Chile... en Viña sería un sueño
Powerful !
Nicky Wire... Rock God...!!
Richey got himself some nice red boots & guitar lessons for this one
The greatest band in the world
When I'm on my death bed and a voice in my head says "this is the end" I'll know I had a design for life
U have just made my day N made me laugh I think ill be doing the same lol 👀🇬🇧❤️💋🆗😇👻👀❤️🇬🇧👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👀
My wife knows that, when I pass away, this is my 'celebration of life' song.
Underrated song
Que pedazo de grupo 👌🏻

良いバンドだね~。☺️
por favor, gira por sud-américa pronto, Chile los espera.
This is an Anthem......those of us that heard it in the old days know what I mean.
♥ ♥ ♥ Wales finest ♥ ♥ ♥
Should have got the "Golden Buzzer" 😜
We don't talk about love!
We only wanna get drunk!
🍺🍺🍺
The true anthem of the 90’s , any decade for that matter
❤❤❤❤
As part of the BRitish ambassadors close protection team to Algiers in 96, I bored everyone silly with this album. By the end of my tour even the Americans knew it.
sounds good with the extra guitars, his voice is back
La lute continue!
JDB looks like he should be the manager of your local supermarket!
I bet your local supermarket manager doesn't write songs like this.
Clássico fantástico. Magníficos
To play edinburgh usher hall 2019 26th may .. can't wait for a bouncing Gig
❤️💋
Their design for life.
100% right, singing about south wales but Scotland and north of England can also relate to this song.
That wasn't the point I was making. Nevermind.
Still got it LIVE 😁
I wish I had a bottle...
Even though these guys are all rich as hell, this is still the greatest working class anthem since Joe Hill.
They're not as rich as you might think. They give a lot of money to charity but they don't do it for publicity and most of it is undisclosed or anonymous. One thing I know is they brought a shipment of guitars with them to Cuba and gave them away to local children. They each have a decent amount of money to live comfortably but not lavishly, and Richey's share still goes into an account in his name.
They give most of their money away and live in regular houses in Wales
Great. Still full of energy and life. Don't trip over that bass cable Nicky wire.
you special sing roberth smith
Could someone explain why James has the Cuban and Spanish flags on his shirt? There also another flag...
👌🏻🇪🇸
They still jump around a lot not bad for 50 somethings
They're all 49. First one of them hits 50 in a month and a half.
Richey turned 50 3 days prior to Christmas
Godfrey Ulex was he on stage in this video?
yeah then recover for months, years
Hey, I still jump up and down at the front of the concerts I go to. 50 is the new 30!
TWO backing guitarists ?!
Don’t tour enough 😢
Where has 22 years gone??
Anyone knows what's the link between the Manics and the Belgian flag on James' shirt ?
I see a Cuban and a Spanish one.
Which arm did you see it on?
@@Sidneyyoungblood75 Right arm...
Is it true they still set up a mic for Richey? I don’t see one.
where is the snare?
When did they start using two extra guitarists instead of the one?
💕💕💕👍👍👍💕💕💕
playing over a backing track, is that very clever......?.........would love to hear a real live version.................
That is live ...only the orchestral parts arent, which are keyboards
Sorry Everyone/Anyone for some misspelt words
my mom and world east like ,anic street preachears
MANIC
saw them in Plymouth in 97 with my bird.
They have been going how long and decide they are a five piece now??
