Where does this 5000 years come from? Most historians place Vedic civilization around 1500BCE. So it was 3500 years ago not 5K years ago. Shankaracharya lived in the 9th century CE. That is 800s.

Furthermore Adi Sankara maybe have been born in 700 CE, but the teachings he reformed were there even before yehova much less Mahaveer Jain and even lesser Christ.
Nonsense, Shankara was just a commentator, he was not a thinker in any sense of the term, Buddha was a real thinker. Indian Philosophy is the only tradition in the world that values commentators over actual original philosophers. Very sad.
