- Have you ever seen a child fall and hurt themselves? The moment of shock, the pain, the tears it’s heartbreaking to see a tiny human with no filter fully feel and express their pain.
Everything in you likely wants to run up and comfort them by saying: “You’re OK!”
We’ve gotta stop doing this. This video will explain why.

PREEEEEEACH!!! As a preschool teacher, I try really hard not to tell my students (or my son) you're OK. It's incredibly invalidating & unhealthy. My mom STILL tells me not to feel upset about situations. I now know I can tell her, "You don't get to tell me not to be mad/sad/etc." But I didn't know that as a kid. And I spent a LOT of years thinking there was something wrong with me. A LOT of years.
Coming across this for the first time. I must confess, the information here is timely and a lifesaver.👏🏾❤
Right, treat kid's emotions wisely rather expecting things from a kid which is not comfortable in that environment. Holding emotions back is no way good approach, human touch is necessary. Unreasonable expectations are main cause of stress elements.
Situations can be tricky manytimes, but definitely good idea to try. Making comfortable to their feelings can settle things.
Awesome 👏🏻👏🏻

I love what you're saying but please advise: I don't want to hear those bloody kids crying on the plane and disrupting my quiet time or my sleep (not meaning yours just before landing). I WANT the parent to shut them up! Help.
hey if you do 10 push ups for 15 days and you dont feel better you can ask for your money back
