I remember those models of small frame in the UK they were badged 100 sport and were fitted with a left hand panel door that housed the battery and the same US spec rear light cluster as seen in this upload.
Great videos very helpful thank-you!! Maybe this is a silly question but small frame vespas large frame vespas, vintage ....are they similar to repair or are they all unique? Say I am watching one of your videos that is a vintage large frame...will that still be helpful to me? Also ty for all the comments great help!
The engine layout is quite a bit different and unique between the two. However, a lot of the components are very similar. We recommend getting a service manual or Haynes manual that covers the small frame specifically. Between that and our videos, you should be on your way. www.scooterwest.com/haynes-service-manual-for-1959-1978-vespa-scooters-haynes1.html
can you please detail what are the 4 little gaps you mention on the intake manifold and on the carb itself that should be filled in with silicone sealant? what sealant do you recommend?
@@VespaMotorsport the video was perfect, but i was stupid.. i cleaned the carburator and i start the engine after 15 years.. all was good but on the test circuit the ring is broken :( , can you help me please ,where can i buy new piston and ring kit? (this bike is a Vespa speacial 50 from 1982' maybe)
Just bought a Vespa 50. How do I know what size carb I have at @2:24 Robot mentioned there's a 19/16/12mm carb. How can I ID the one I have? The motor is a V5A1M. Thanks for the help
Think I might have figured it out after browsing scooterwest.com for carb rebuild kits. Correct me if I'm wrong, The Vespa 50 kit is only listed on the 16mm one and not the 19, under the "scooter fit" tab 19mm is for the Vespa 90 and up.
Robot .... You have the BEST voice for explaining what you are doing .... Thank you! :)
Just cleaning up my 1973
Great video
Thanks
