  • We give new life to the scooter that has been abandoned for a long time because it doesn't work. There were a lot of problems with his engine, low pressure, problems with ignition, oil leaks, all of them were fixed. The carburetor was cleaned and the air-fuel mixture was adjusted. The brake center, which was locked due to the rust in the brake system, was cleaned of rust and repainted to give it a perfect appearance. Thus, the first step of our scooter restoration project, the engine restoration, was completed. repairs, color changes and enhancements to be made on the bodywork

    • @restoringo
      @restoringo  8 місяців тому +1

      Cuando se cambian cilindros y pistones, no es necesario realizar un reglaje de válvulas. Sin embargo, será útil comprobar si las válvulas tienen fugas de aire. Si hay fugas, es necesario lapear las válvulas.

      @restoringo  8 місяців тому

      Si el cilindro y el pistón están demasiado desgastados, es posible que no se note el problema de la válvula. Síntomas generales como retraso en el arranque, pérdida de tracción, aumento del consumo de combustible... Cuando se quita la tapa superior del cilindro, se puede entender muy fácilmente, la prueba que hice para esto está disponible en esta parte del video 5:40.

    What exactly does that engine come out off? Like year make model of scooter. I’m building a custom kymco super 8 and that looks like a better engine to start my build with. Mine came with a qmb139 (50cc) gy6 engine and it has bottom motor mounting ears on the crankcases like that engine you rebuilt. I’m wanting to swap in the larger 150cc and up gy6 that are the qmj157 based engines but they have top mounting ears on the crankcase. Plus it that is 4 valve head and water cooled so that is just what I’m looking for. I’m gonna add a custom fuel injection with standalone ecu based on the megasquirt ecu lineup. Big bore, etc etc. Been dragracing the big Japanese 4 cyl bikes for almost 30 years but getting older now and just looking to “slow down” a little😂!

    Un lavoro alla fine gradevole, ma penso che tutto sommato il video può essere pericoloso per chi volesse emularti, solo per riverniciare una dozzina di particolari e ripulire gli altri, e non ha le dovute competenze tecniche...... tu infatti non citi i vari punti di attenzione e le corrette procedure (e posso capire, altrimenti il video sarebbe durato tre ore) e il rischio è che se qualcuno si avventura nell'impresa poi non riesce a rimontare tutto o, nella migliore delle ipotesi, rimonta ma poi non va più bene niente........(un solo esempio: una testata va rimontata in un certo modo, o le cose si sanno oppure è meglio rinunciare sennò si fa peggio....)

      Гарного дня. Система охолодження складається з багатьох компонентів. Не вивчивши щось говорити було б неправильно. Циркуляційний насос і термостат - це перше, що потрібно перевірити. Якщо з ними немає проблем, слід перевірити труби, радіатор. Найгірше те, що прокладка верхньої кришки руйнується через високу температуру, що спричинить трохи більше втрат часу та грошей. Якщо ви задасте своє запитання детально, я хотів би допомогти. Дякую за увагу.

      Merhaba vida başlıklarından bahsediyorsanız hepsi sorunsuz sıkılıp gevşetiliyor. Bu scooter bozulduğu için yıllardır atıl bir vaziyette bir tarafta duruyordu. Haliyle vidaları sökmek çok zorlu oldu. İlk denemeleri normal lokma takımı ile yapmıştım onların verdiği küçük hasarlar mevcut sonrasında bu vidaları sökmek için E lokma seti kullandım.

    These liquid cooled leader engines was very unreliable the water pumps always fail and cam chains stretch because they are very weak, they look the same as was fitted to the air cooled 2 valve leader engine so couldn’t handle the 4 valve liquid cooled engine,

    • @restoringo
      @restoringo  10 місяців тому +1

      The cooling system made with too long pipes can make this system unstable. Also, as you said, the timing chain is used jointly for both 2-valve and 4-valve engines, which can cause timing errors due to excessive load chain elongation.
