The Blueprint vs STORED ability after Blueprinting something is the KEY thing to remember here! Thank you for pointing this out. I'm new to FO76 and this would have killed my Scrap had I not watched this video first.
I'm here because I'm hoping all of the things I built automatically turn back into parts when I move my camp because it would be terrible to just lose everything I built entirely because of moving the camp lol
Happened to me just now. Tried to move camp, can't place it anywhere at all. It simply just won't turn green so my game is fucked. Done playing it now! Bethesda is by far the worst and most buggy game developers on the planet.
Thanks for the step-by-step informative video! However, I cannot recommend using the C.A.M.P. device as a storage box. While you CAN do this, you only get one, but you can place multiple stash boxes of a variety of shapes and sizes (generally cheap to build, too), in case it's convenient to have more than one, or you simply like the look of some stashes. I realize this is an old video and things may have been different back then, so I can only speak for the now as a newer player. The most damning reason not to place your C.A.M.P. device inside your buildings, however, is because *the game will occasionally spawn enemies next to the device!* I found out the hard way why enemies sometimes would appear in my house, and did some web searching to find the reason. Here I am, playing my piano, and next thing I know, Mr. Handy says, "Hello there!" Two seconds later, I am roasting on the floor. Thanks Bethesda. So yeah, always place your C.A.M.P. device out of the way where turrets or fall damage can deal with any unwelcome visitors the game so kindly spawns directly adjacent to it.
Hi, I speak english a little bit, I'm italian, and this video it's beautiful. Thanks to your instructions I figured out how to move it. Thank You so much.
I recently moved my camp (didn’t store anything nor my ally that was playing the guitar), and I’m trying to build another ally but it says “only one ally can be placed or stored at a time.” However I don’t even have one ally out, nor their objects/ things (bar, chair, etc). What am I doing wrong?😭
Thank you for this explanation I lost my base twice because I was used to it movitthe whole base automatically when I moved it like when I first played this is the stupidest thing they could have changed it too not intuitive at all and they do t tell you about this at all in game almost this helped a lot thank you so much
i moved camp by mistake but now everything gone , So is there anway to get items or structures back . Becase i start to build again but cant place company tea as it says only one per camp etc.
Hi checkers first I want to wish you a very merry Christmas, I hope you have a fantastic day, may I ask are you going to make any night walks in fallout 76? Or Vegas? I love watching these videos 😊
Thank you, wolfie! And Merry Christmas to you, too! I hope you're holidays are amazing! One day I hope I will do the bedtime videos again, but I'm not making them at the moment. Thanks for watching, wolfie! :)
Excellent video!! I know in late to the party lol, hey, but if I totally relocate my camp, will my items IN my camp station stash STAY in there? Or will all my stashed items..Guns, junk, clothes... be gone?
Thanks man , i returned to the game and forgot all things about it. You helped me to move my old blocked camp! Btw Stash limit is 1200 now, still sucks :) .
Great video, thanks man! I’ve recently started playing F76 and didn’t know much about camp building. I spent a while building a large camp, and used my second camp station as a fast travel point across the map. I then accidentally moved the wrong camp and stored my large camp, and now it won’t let me place it down, which is frustrating because it’s obviously using up a lot of my storage limit. Any advice on what to do? Can I scrap it from my stored items list, or will I need to find a way to place it, so I can scrap it and build a new camp? Thanks!
You might have misunderstood the system but none of what you did was necessary with making a blueprint when you move a camp because it stores all your buildings are blueprints temporarily until you place or scrap it. The blueprint creating is only useful if you crap everything and want to rebuild an entire structure quickly with new materials not to move camp as it is not necessary at all.
I have on several occasions moved my camp and had my structures completely disassembled. Yes, the pieces were all stored, but they were no longer a structure in any sense of the word. I had to reassemble them from the stored pieces. There was no "temporary blueprint." They were only stored walls, foundations, etc. I have not, however, had a blueprinted structure reduced to stored walls, foundations and roof items - let alone all the internals. Every time I've blueprinted a structure, it has remained intact as a stored blueprint, with foundation, walls, roof and internals exactly as I left them. What Fallout 76 is supposed to do and what Fallout 76 does are often two very different things.
@@CheckersPrefect Since they did an update weeks ago it hasnt been an issue and I move my camp a few times a day every day with no issues that you speak of.
It comes down to this: blueprints save the structure as it was. Bug. No bug. Update. No update. I can't even begin to count how many people tell me that they have completely different experiences with Fallout 76 and its behavior - not just different from me, but different from the other people telling me their experiences. I'm not telling you you're wrong, but I am saying that making a blueprint of your structure absolutely saves a template of it "as is." As long as you have that template, it can be stored, it can be scrapped, it can sit right where it is. It's a way to "save" your structure. You can trust Fallout 76 to move it, intact, every time. And right now, maybe that works. And maybe the next update breaks it - or maybe 2 or 3 updates from now. Either way, with a blueprint you have a saved copy of that structure (or any object or group of objects). I think blueprints are meant to be templates - like I said in the video, you could make a turret tower structure, blueprint it, then make 3 more "copies" from the blueprints. But as long as it saves a structure all together, I think it's safer to blueprint than to not.
I'm a new player just started a week ago, and when I moved my camp, nothing was stored at all automatically. I had to rebuild everything. Luckily it was only some crafting stations and a water pump. I could see the stored budget but it never moves above zero and the game never told me anything about blueprints or storing. This video is old but I will try it out and see since what you are showing is better than what I experienced.
I'm new to Fallout 76. Question for you. I can't seem to find an answer. I don't play the game solo. It's always with a friend. We team up before the game starts and it appears one of us is always a team leader. The question, can you share a camp? Meaning, can we build a camp together, each use our own resources, and both store items in the camp or stash box individually without tripping over each other? Or would my friend have to build a camp right next to mine and do their own thing? Would be nice to both be able to build up the camp but not pull from each others inventory or resources. Thanks
For some reason i ran into a problem when trying to move my camp in which it wouldn't allow me to place my structures with the text "needs support", can anybody help please?
Try only using concrete foundations--not the wooden ones with the four concrete legs and grates. Plus don't attach stairs to the sides of your foundation pieces.
I really wish you didnt have to walk to a location & simply place your camp into your storage & then fast travel to the place you want. Having to walk your camp is a pain in the ass & ate up like 40 mins of my time since i traveled like halfway across the map
Checkers Prefect it’s funny because I just recintly realized I saved the blue prints but I already made a better one lol so I geuss it isn’t gone but I have a better one also great video thank you for sharing this info with everyone
You **should** still have your stuff under the "stored" section of the camp interface. If I recall correctly, it's at the far left of the tabs, so like when you can choose from walls, doors, turrets and traps, etc, if you scroll all the way left, you should see a "Stored" section. That **should** have the things that moved, barring any bugs. Hope that helps, Comrade_YT! Good luck! :)
Your camp is stored when you move it. When you're in build mode, look at the bar at the top of the screen, you'll see a "Stored" tab. Your house is there, you just have to put it back where you want it.
@@CheckersPrefect I found that out, but couldn't place it because someone was nice and gave me items I didnt have the plans too, so it made it locked and unable to place, so I just decided to rebuild it the same exact way as close to the original. I also had just taken pictures hours early. Funny enough I took pictures from almost every angle, which really helped. Thanks for the reply though it would have helped if it wasn't locked.
When you start the video, stop it, let it buffer for a few seconds and be sure to select 1080p quality - not 1080 auto. That should get rid of most of the blur. The rest is courtesy of UA-cam's "processing" after uploading. For some reason, it really doesn't like leafy game areas. Thanks for watching, Dominic! :)
This was by far the most clear explanation yet and I truly appreciate it. It was confusing before but I know what to do now. Thank you so much!!
You're very welcome, Peggy! Have fun building! :)
Thank you very much. Very good tutorial.
Oh, hell, the stash limit was 600 two years ago... now it's 800 and still not enough
You are very welcome, MissFierceTV! Thank you very much for the kind words! And for watching! Take care! :)

Anything that's in your stash is in your stash, whether you move the camp or set up another one, so nothing should disappear. Enjoy West Virginia! :)
Good stuff. Answered all my questions. I was scared of waisting my time on this game but this is aight
What if my camp is too big for the blueprint thing do I just need to rebuild my whole base
Can you scrap the building for all the materials
