- Natsuki Subaru's entire camp / friend group has been separated. He can't rely on Emilia thanks to her being captured by Regulas aka Sin Archbishop of Greed. He can't rely on Beatrice since she over used her mana to heal Subaru and everyone else's legs. He can't rely on Garfiel cause he's busy saving his half siblings from the Witches Cult and Otto is MIA cause of Gluttony.

Poor garf I feel bad for him 😔😔😔 Mimi, was so cute, when she was hugging Garfiel's head. To let him cry out, instead of keeping it in. Him having conflicted feelings finally found his mom but she does not remember him. On the side he wants to tell her who he is and about her life before. But on the other side by telling her it will only cause her confusion, pain and guilt. She has new family now and is happy by telling her he risk possibility of destroying that. But know he must save what is his half siblings even if he does not tell her he still care for her and his siblings.

I may just not understand the honorifics well enough but, Capella also introduced herself a)with honorifics {usually omitted in an introduction} and b) as chan -sama the first is very familiar and often used for children and the second, very formal on the level of Lord

@@xnortheast1106 I would say that, but a lot of people actually will read that and it will fly off their head. Just watched a bunch of people reacting to the episode and none of them "keyed on the Lugnica" name. I also watched several reviews on the episode and Chibi was basically the only one who points that out.
Like its not that hard why people may let that detail fly off their head really especially if they are just watching Rezero as they come out seasonally and have not refreshed their minds by rewatching the previous seasons.
I also saw how people forgot who did not immediately recognize the the dude who mugged Subaru at episode one so...
I think you are gravelly underestimating how easily people can easily forget stuff after years of not interacting with story.
A lot of people who watches the anime only also did not immediately corelate fortuna to the archbishop of wrath until it is pointed out to them. Since unlike the LN where the it spends a lot of sentences to describe her elf like features the anime can only show those on screen for seconds and a regular viewer can easily just zone out of those close up shots,
Also just ask a regular rezero watcher what part of Lugnica does Season 2 takes place and most of them can't answer the question. Heck as them what "Lugnica" is and not all of them will be able to say the correct answer. Do they remember all the witches name that appeared in season 2. I bet most of them won't.
Personally I will not be able to answer what is the Last name of "Crusch" without googling it. Not all people Live and Breath Rezero to have all those terminolgies living rent free in their minds
Heck you can even see street interviews of "adult americans not being able to differentiate a state form a country and a country from continent. Bruh you need to adjust your viewpoint on people on this
Not sure why they didn’t do it in the anime but in the Novel Felix addresses it directly as a name of royalty in the final scene of the episode. They’re either waiting longer or cutting the explanation entirely

Anime Only here. The best thing about Re:Zero is their character progression moment. When they show Garf vulnerable state, it reminded me of how much of a masterpiece Re:Zero is.
Tho I have one problem this season. I'm a huge fan to Subaru's character development, from being a shut in to a matured man. But man I don't feel his wisdom now in Season 3. I feel like all that character development in Season 2 didn't happen.
This season Subaru doesn't feel more matured at all. Both mentally and intellectually. I actually thought he's gonna go Light Yagami after all the crap he went through since S1.

Enjoying S3 alot so far. Really impressed with the voice actors, I thought they play their characters very well especially with the sarcasm lines. Facial expressions and animations are also great by my own standards. Nothing to complain about, looking forward to next week
I really miss Re zero having random episode length. One time it's 30 minutes one time it's 20, the other time it's nearly 40 mins.

Soooo 15 years ago a girl from royal family was captured. Capella is seemingly 15(?) years old. Then there is Felt which also shares same hair and eye color with Capella as well as being 15 yo. And if i remember correctly Felt said she doesn't have a family name in S1E3 to Reinhard....
Does this mean Felt is actually royalty or something? If so this whole royal selection plot point is going in an insane plot twist ending. Like why "choose" a new ruler if Felt is still around?

this is what lover about that series that these details that could be easily missed or overlook. Have meaning and lead big plot points. With the name of the Lust Archbishop that she could be royalty in that bloodline. The same way that creator puts meaning into hair colour

I only watch the Anime, never read any of the LN. I also dont rewatch or pause the episode. I instantly noticed it and was wondering about her being royalty even after the episode. Glad to see you analyze it. However also surprised that it would be missed by most.
After Subaru, at least so far, Garfiel is easily the one who has to deal with the most amount of information wirhout having proper time to absorb it. I mean i could he wrong, but not only he found his mom who he thought abandoned him, but also a stepfather he never knew he had, new siblings, and now all their lives aee in jeopardy unless he acts quickly.
Which of course, propels Mimi instantly to the position of Best Girl of ReZero, EASILY. FORGET EMILIA, ECHIDNA AND -REM- , here's a new, stronger competitor 😂

All this time Garfiel locked himself inside Sanctuary being scared of outside world. Because he thought his mom died looking for happiness outside. But he learns his mom truly found happiness and all this time he was just scared to face his weakness. Garfiel is truly just a cat instead of a tiger.

One of the reasons why I love watching Re: Zero season 3 is because Wednesdays are usually my least favorite days of the week. Due to personal reasons.

As a casual anime only, Her name did catch my eye, but I didn't think much of it.
I read a bit of the WN so I knew her name was Lugunica but what struck me as odd was she used 2 honorifics for herself both "chan" and "sama" and I haven't noticed anyone doing that before

I found out/ got spoiled for Capella's name Tuesday night...by looking up R34 of her. Needless to say it was a shock, but also got me theorizing about things more. Arc 5 is cooking as an anime only!
I just watched Epsidoe 3 and I already read the Light Novel parts that were there and it is really accurate and I love it. Especially the scene with Garfiel on the roof was really heart touching and cute from Mimi. I like how they adapated it, its like how I imagined it in my head. From now on the action will begin and I need to keep reading the LN. Usually I don´t watch an Anime, if I already read the Manga but with Light Novels its different, you need to actually imagine the scenes from the words alone and in the anime there are little details that are maybe not in the LN or something similar. I can´t wait for next week, where we will see more of Capella and more fights!
Hey, so as I do not read the light novel, I can't say how obvious this is or not (or if it has already been discussed to death), but the more I get to know about the arch bishops (more specifically: their names), I am getting kind of worried.
Sirius and Betelgeuse being the obvious ones, but looking up their name heritage, all of them are referencing stars in constellations (at least their westernized forms). Ok, author likes to make a connection between them, big deal.
Well, looking up the meaning of the name Subaru, apparently next to it's symbolic meaning, it is also the term used to describe the star cluster "Pleiades" in Orion. Given the fact that Betelgeuse thought him to be Pride, I am getting a little bit antsy now.
Probably not something that will reveal itself in this run, just one thing that piques my intrigue going into season 3.

Just an fyi a lot of them are named after stars or constellations. Betelguese is the closest red giant to us, Sirius,capella and regulus are some of the brightest stars that are visible. Baten kaitos is star within a double star system called zeta ceti. Subaru himself is named after the subaru constellation (know as the pleiades constellation in the west).

This season is so good so far the character development of garf was amazing it made me like him 10x more. I like how the writer makes lame poses and names cool by making it a symbol for that character

My anxiety is through the roof with this show. Emilia is gone. Everyone may or may not have forgotten about Otto (boy why didn't you run). So many archbishops are showing up at once. Tina is also gone. Everyone under Wrath's hypnosis almost died. Beatrice needs to be awakened.

What a terrifying idea, Subaru finds out Gluttony is here by realizing Otto had the Rem treatment (if that happened idk I am anime only). That said I am not convinced they do not fully know since an early ep they were talking about Gluttony, not sure why they would do that unless they had an idea he was around.

... Is either the same as Reinhardts/ an advanced version of Reinhardts ability to command all the mana around him, or he has the ability to steal mana. So he can just steal the mana from any spell/ the air around. So when he was set on fire in this episode, he just stole the mana from the flames around him essentially canceling out the spell.

He's abillity is stopping he's own time. Basically because of this he became untouchable because everything around him not stopped and moving in time and space but Regulus not. He's basically space time anomaly because of this. He's undestructuble object and you can't hurt him because he's beyond time. But anything that touches him gets wrecked because it's impossible to destroy indestructible object which Regulus basically is. And anything else he touches became stopped in time too even the air he breathes out.

I thought Capella's voice was a bit too high pitched for me, this is a personal opinion, i just don't like character with too high pitched voices
I have a serious question for Re:Zero fans: Didn't Tappei Nagatsuki receive any death threats because of how weak Subaru is? Like, imagine an MC who dies hundreds of millions of times-that's equivalent to the Grim Reaper witnessing death over and over-and still doesn’t get stronger. Like What? Also, I just want to know if Subaru’s appearance was inspired by classmates who bullied Tappei, and now he’s making an anime where that bully gets obliterated millions of times.
I don't know about others, but I personally hate those protagonists who solve problems alone (cough cough solo leveling), his weakness and the need to put together several pieces of situations and mainly create bonds with people to move forward in the story is wonderful.
No? Re:Zero is not a franchise like that. Like in Volume 1 Tappei literally says "This is a story about a powerless guy being cornered to his limits". And thats exactly what makes this franchise so beautiful. Indomitable human spirit can overcome any obstacle no matter how impossible it seems.
