+MurderMan11 wasteland 2 has nothing on underrail, Fargo spent countless more money with a significant number of people to release something that is inferior to underrail in every way.
Release date moved forward?!? Don't think I've seen something like this in my life... Christmas is coming even earlier this year (especially considering that I usually celebrate it on 7 january).
Master Hiei I got bored with the vanilla version and quit around halfway. But then I played the Director's Cut and found it to be a BIG improvement. I suggest you it another shot. Btw what "horrible voice acting" are you referring to? Which VO?
damn, last played this in 2013, could be time to check how it has developed :D Really happy to see the game being finished! I hope you guys keep on doing what you like to do!
I've played the demo and alpha about 1.5 years ago, and decided to wait until the final release. Quite excited about this one. One thing they managed to nail is the graphics: it looks like Fallout 1&2 graphics but still dinstinct enough to be have its own style. And no bullshit oversized pixels, the plague of modern "indie" industry. The combat looks good as well. The only thing I'm concerned about is the story and dialogue, especially dialogue. I fear it may be the weakest link in this game.
+BuzzKill Dialogue Its not bad, of course it may look weird since its made by Czechs but i didn't feel like it was bad at any time. The story and how its presented is kinda scattered, but you need to take into account that the game allows a lot of free roam.
+Steve R. You know, by now I've played the game quite a bit and I have to say, there definitely ARE various meaningful choices during dialogue, not F1/F2/BG/PS:T level of course, but definitely enough to not feel like a railroad (pun intended). Not every dialogue is perfect but I like how the game keeps track of certain things you do and don't, and sometimes you have to try really hard _throughout the whole game_ to get a certain positive outcome at a certain point in the plot. One example of this is - SPOILER the Tunnelers/Faceless situation in the Deep Caverns. When I found out just how faithful you had to have been throughout the game to get them to "like" you, I almost shit my pants.
Congrats on your release! I've been enjoying your game through the beta and am excited to play through it again post-release! This is the Fallout successor I've been waiting for!
Picked up the game and had to say i'm enjoying the atmosphere of it all the most. It has that dry and dangerous atmosphere similar to the Geoforge games. I'm looking forward to playing through. Also I totally took That pill cuz what could possibly go wrong!
Must play game! very detailed combat and interesting story, gameplay mechanics, countless items and customization options. And very content rich. Also 2d visual make this game more amazing. if this 3d game, i dont think look amazing that way. Only downside maps feels like labyrinth. Only Navigating bad part in this game, specially if you playing first time. Underrail 2 definetly need better map system. But other then map, this game must play! More advanced underrail 2 will be great! My personal rating: 10/9 must play!
I've played this game to death. Clocked in near 200 hours in this baby. If you are reading this and are a fan of Fallout 1 and 2, then you owe it to yourself to get this.
For anyone on the fence - this game is fantastic. Similar to the original Fallout games, but with a deeper (and more up-to-date) combat system and a setting akin to Metro 2033.
Looks really neat! But I don't like that it is sooo dark and there is no exterior. As for the game, I hope for great characters, quests and story! It seems lately mechanics is all it matters for the developers.
+Banefane It's most likely a play on the common D&D setting named the "Underdark". These are usually settings where entire storylines take place in cities/ecosystems that exist within a cavernscape. In this case however, it's metro system of a formerly modern/cyberpunk surface world. Hence "Underrail".
Actually, it kinda is. The tutorial didn't include some of the mechanics present as you play the game, there's no map marker for quest, there wasn't even a map at all! While the game did write down notes to remind you what quest you were given, it doesn't keep track of progression of the quest through the game. The lore were all over the place, you have to look for them and talk to the NPCs (also several of them won't repeat where you have to go and what you have to do. Unless you ask them, they will only tell you once). And don't get me started on the level design; there are amazing shortcuts you can unlock as you explore, and the rest I can say about it, is that you would see what I mean if we are to imagine the whole game being ported to a 3D engine and allows us to see from 3rd person perspective. In a nutshell, it's like Dark Souls, meets Fallout and Metro 2033.
So this is just a game made for fallout 1-2 fans? What about the rest of us noobs that haven't played those games should we get it or avoid it? I mean, the trailer didn't really describe much about what it was about. Just showed a lot of random gameplay.
+Sly Akhil Why would we just play Wasteland 2, in comparison to this? For people looking for a spiritual successor to Fallout, this is the better choice.
Wasteland 2 has mechanics that are very different than the original Fallout games,so i see why people would want to play this game instead,Anyway I think we all agree that Bethesda just isn't very skilled at making real RPG's anymore (although Morrowind was pretty great...for the most part)
Sly Akhil Mechanics aside, Wasteland 2 just had a greater focus on combat than Fallout ever did, and the atmosphere wasn't quite there. I'm glad it exists, but I don't think it's a spiritual successor to Fallout... at least, not as much as people say. As for Bethesda, it's sad. The only two good RPGs they ever made were Daggerfall and Morrowind, and they've just gone down the toilet more and more with every new game. What a shame.
Fuck Fallout 4, this is the true sucessor to Fallout 1 and 2.
+João Cunha It is indeed.
+João Cunha This and Age of Decadence as well, in many ways. Both games do so many things SO right.
+João Cunha Don't you mean Wasteland 2?
+MurderMan11 wasteland 2 has nothing on underrail, Fargo spent countless more money with a significant number of people to release something that is inferior to underrail in every way.
+F10F11hm Trying to get into AoD so much... something pulls me off every time :(
Why isn't there more hours in a day??!??
So many good games, so little time!!
Svaka čast momci! :)
Great game. Highly recommended for old school PC RPG players.
Should add to the trailer: 'the only game made after 1997 that Codexers don't hate'
Now I hope you guys dont stop here and move on making more rpgs. Godspeed.
+Atrahasis7 first mod support and/or an expansion to this one pls
As fallout 1 and 2 fan, definitely gonna check this one.
INCLINE! O GLORIOUS INCLINE!
Currently playing this game. It is deep, challenging and fun!
So far better than Arcanum or even New Vegas :)
Release date moved forward?!? Don't think I've seen something like this in my life... Christmas is coming even earlier this year (especially considering that I usually celebrate it on 7 january).
One of the best games of all time
The actual Fallout 4
*3
+BuzzKill 3 was Wasteland 2.
Metaslug X Which coincidentaly sucked balls as well with its $20 budget and horrible voice acting
Master Hiei I got bored with the vanilla version and quit around halfway. But then I played the Director's Cut and found it to be a BIG improvement. I suggest you it another shot. Btw what "horrible voice acting" are you referring to? Which VO?
+Master Hiei More like the real Fallout 3.
I really love this game since i bought it 2 years ago on steam. Congrats, Styg!
Wow. This will be amazing. Thank god there is a vacation coming up.
2018 = oVER 200 HOURS of gameplay for me.
Congrats! Have close to 100 hrs in early access can wait to return.
Wonderful !
damn, last played this in 2013, could be time to check how it has developed :D Really happy to see the game being finished! I hope you guys keep on doing what you like to do!
Congrats on the full release!
Excellent.
Looking forward to play it! Can't wait!
F*** Fallout 4. This is the real game!

+BuzzKill dialogue is not bad but there is little choice present in the dialogue(choosing different one yields the same result).
Steve R. well, that... sucks.
by little i mean not as much as fo 1 and 2 (there still is) but you will get similar freedom to fo when exploring
+Steve R. still the best game on Steam

Epic Game!
been waiting soo long for this, dreams become reality
Looks like Fallout 1-2. Ok, I'm sold.
Very good looking game, this is definitely on the to buy list.
At last!
For anyone on the fence - this game is fantastic.
Similar to the original Fallout games, but with a deeper (and more up-to-date) combat system and a setting akin to Metro 2033.
+Kubeface hm i'm a bit skeptic. a too deep combat system can be shitty too :/
+OtterStrikesBack It's a matter of taste of course, but I would definitely not call it shitty.
question can we grab our old characters from the saves files and reload them into a new game?
+BESM1984 If your chars are older than the new experience system, yes.
In that case this is going on the backlog for awhile. Maybe after Dark Souls 3 I will go back to this
finally we have a proper Fallout 1 and 2 fallow-up.
is the studio behind this Serbian? Can't find much info on them
Is it Friday yet?
Are savegames going to be compatible with the final?
+Andrea Bruni Nope, they changed too much stuff.
This is a great game... i finished it last week!
Looks really neat!
But I don't like that it is sooo dark and there is no exterior.

i'm ready
Finally!!!
I am so happy =)
So it's IsoMetro?
The only game in my bucket list, apart from Fallout of Nevada, which I've almost done.
wtf this isn't a sequel to undertale
The new Undertale sequel looks awesome.
Hey Hey people, Sseth here
HOLY FUCK!!! how did i miss this on second thought who cares fuck Fallout 4 i want this.
Why is the game called Underrail?
+Banefane The area the game takes place in is called the Underrail.
+EliasFrostMusic Well that and you're basically playing the game through "under" ground rail stations and the areas around ;)
+Banefane Captain Obvious! We need some help here!
+Banefane

7 days and counting
GOTY 2015!
Both Thumbs have 4
Is this like Dark Souls?
+TehMorbidAtheist No, its like the original fallout

killed the dog? why kill the dog??
Hate game devs
Just play Wasteland 2,a better succesor to the original Fallout games than Fallout 3.
