I just bought one of these it's supposed to arrive today.... This is later that day and this RC is absolutely insane it tears up the front yard. I love it!!!!
I love your videos, great testing. Sometimes I wish you would test longer on all stock stuff first. Myself personally, I don’t mod all of my trucks, some I just want to use out of box, so if I’m gonna have to fix too quick or mod to be happy, I usually don’t buy. I just don’t have time for a ton of projects on the bench.
Thanks man!! The main reason for upgrading this one right away was I ran the Hosim completely stock and this is 99% the same so I feel would have been repetitive. Are there some other cars I upgraded too quickly?
Great video, as always. I got one of these last week after watching your video and I'm blown away. My son and I have a bunch of trucks and after several hard sessions with this thing my take is "budget Arrma 3s". My ramp is pretty big, this thing has regularly been over 10' high (landing on dirt or grass), and it's held up great. I left it totally stock, thought about putting some earplug in the center diff but for now figured it's drivetrain protection and I'll wait till parts are more available for this model like they are for the other Hosim 1/8ths. My only gripe is wandering center for the steering. Haven't dug in yet to figure out if it's the servo or the saver. Keep these great vids coming!
I bought this after watching your videos, I’ve had it for a few weeks and I had my tie rod and 3 of the 4 camber links bend or break just like yours. Traxxas 2445 can be adapted to work in all 6 situations with just a little work, using the stock outboard camber link rod end (you’ll have to drill them out slightly to fit the larger Traxxas rods). That fixes the only glaring weakness! Thanks for another great video!
Awesome to know! Thanks man and glad you like the car! It’s a good one for sure! Got the actual Hosim version coming too so I’m gonna do something different with it! Don’t even know what yet lol
@@jordanent8279 my bits are all so old I can’t tell, I just chose one smaller than the rod and worked up a size until I could get the rod to thread in.
Can I ask what batteries you chose to go with to fit the smaller battery tray? I know it comes with a 2600 mah 3S with a 25c rating. I've been trying to find something with a higher mah rating and higher C rating while still staying small enough to fit? And have you tried running any 4s batteries in it? Your video was my deciding factor for this RC and I LOVE IT!!! Thank you!!
Definitely a nice looking and performing rig..changes i would like to see...hex hardware, separate esc and reciever, roller option...Also weaker locktite so you can work on it without breaking or stripping screws...with these simple changes it would be waaay up on my list...😊
That’s kind of a tough decision to be honest. I really like them both. Overall I’d say the 10208 is gonna be easier and better to upgrade and is a more established company. Both seem to have decent parts support. I guess I’d probably go with the 10208. Still a hard decision though 😂
That thing can take a beating! Great review and video too. Your acting is getting a whole lot better plus now I know the time and effort it takes to make a little feller dance in reverse!
It definitely can! Acting?? There’s no acting!! 😂. It literally takes my dumb computer program about 10 minutes to reverse a 2 second clip sometimes. My old phone app I used to use could do a 10 second clip in seconds! The kid made it easy with his slick moves though!
@DerbyCityRC lol I wasn't being a jerk about the acting comment. I was referring to then that scre stripped and you done another angle of it showing your reacting. Swear I wasn't being ass!
Seems like a great 10th scale truggy..only thing is nothing is worse for me is needing to tear down a car and not being able to remove the screws..is it really that difficult? Will i need some special super great expensive Phillips driver? 😢...Also did you have to use silicone ear plugs? Doesn't that lock diffs? I actually have a cheap 10th wltoys buggy coming i am going to convert to brushless..that buggy comes with huge metal seal diffs...some guy took his appart and filled 10,000 wt oil....maybe the diff on this xlf could be sealed making a gasket so the prop diff oil could be used...Anyway this car seems great.thanks for the torcher test...😊
I’m sure these could be sealed with the right parts. Just a decent screwdriver, strong elbows and patience bit bit was it a pain. But if you never open the diff then it’s not as bad since you don’t need to remove the screws lol
I have been watching a lot of laegendary thunder vids..yes they are not super duty, but cs is excellent and parts and upgrade parts are easy to get..real nice real 10th scale for a great price..has decent radio with rx and 50 amp Hw programable esc.comes with 4500 2s i think...extremely stable also...if you haven't seen it go check it out and have them send you one...i like it a lot,but i dont beat the hell out of my cars,so its plently durable for me...amazon sells them...
Bro, you really need to put some Rlaarlo shocks on there. It’ll be like a new truck other than that. I can’t believe that things not in the rebuild pile after 5-packs!! Wow!
When you get a hold of the new Hosim x25 that's being released in October it would be interesting to see a side by side comparison..something tells me it's going to be the exact same as this Xlf..but they are great looking truggies for sure..maybe this model doesn't use that extra heavy duty lock tight or what ever it is...😊
Hosim is upset at me for this review lol, but I’m pretty sure the X25 is on its way here. Apparently xlf wasn’t supposed to get this model?? Really unsure. Xlf raised the price anyway (though my coupon for $194 is good til the 30th I think). The Hosim is likely exactly the same minus the wording on the body but we will see (probably). Hosim has better customer service and warranty so I’ll gladly recommend it over this one if the price is atleast close. Most likely still has the heavy loctite 😂
Will look forward to ur review...I received my used x07from hosim ebay..had several issues..they responded and I have parts on the way including a broken radio, batt, uper arm and new metal servo..we will see..car still had grass on it,lots of gashes on bumper and chassis..gears seem great, but who knows if i got the upgraded gears or not...i doubt it..😅..but i baby my rcs anyway...Happy bashing!
My guess is yes, but I don’t have any laegendarys. From what I have seen, they seem to break a bit easier. They’re priced pretty well but initial cost is only part of it of course.
Nice RC. I just wish they would come out with a body that didn't look like a space ship. I like how well it drifted on asphalt but the tires seem a bit small for bashing and jumping. For the price it's worth it. Great job as always. 👍👍
