That's a really nice promenade. I love walkable pathways like that. I don't think it was there when I visited in 2011. Grocery shopping in other countries is always an interesting cultural experience. Yes, mate is a way of life in Uruguay. And I had forgotten about the drums. I think they do that at any time of the year. I was there in the month of November and heard it then. It's very loud but almost hypnotic. Thanks for sharing.
someone just walked me through getting the back microphone on so it should not happen again. I do have close captioning and it does get better once I'm off the main sidewalk.
Thanks for the positive feedback. I have various prices throughout the video but the grocery costs start at 13:11. How did you find the costs compared to where you are located?
@ I live in rural New Hampshire USA currently, prices are about the same. Processed American foods are a bit more than I pay here but I don’t buy much of those. Basic ingredients like flour cost less there
Greetings from Uruguay 🇺🇾 !!!

I love that promenade as it's great for walks along the coast and energizing residents to get out and move!
Love Uruguay. Progressive happy people.
The coriolis effect only happens in large bodies of water, not a sink.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Uruguay was always sooo expensive. You should do your groceries in Argentina or Brazil 😂
Sound’s kinda low on this one 🙂

my god, cheaper to buy groceries in Paris... why?
@@fercos33 agreed! Not to sure why…tariffs? They call Montevideo the $witzerland of South America.
Wow that's seriously expensive...you should come hand out in South Africa...much better views and probably a third of the price
@@zarooinek I’ve been to Cape Town and loved my visit…so much. Trying to figure out how and when to get back. Did I mention that I loved it there?
