‘THE VERDICT’ is incomplete without Bob Willis. His Voice and his presence will be missed..
Agree. It'll never be the same again.
I don’t like it when it is not in the studio, and with Charles Colville as host
quite right.
the only reason I watched the verdict was bob. He will be missed.
Bob had an intoxicating voice that was full of enthusiasm and a bit of dry humour
Like Richie Benaud . He was the blend of Richie and a bit of Bill lawry .
RIP Bob Willis one of the best bowlers that’s ever lived! One of the funniest and kindest people! RIP
A brilliant piece, will be sorely missed for his straight and honest opinions about players, umpires and the game in general, nobody could hide when Bob Willis was about. RIP Bob you’ve earned it. 🍷
He absolutely buried Swann 😂. RIP Bob, what a great 👍
Bob Willis never minced his words. Harsh at times, but most often justified.
Indeed.. absolute clinical
A man truly loved by his friends. That would be legacy enough, but he gave us all much more. Wonderful piece, thanks to all. RIP Bob.
RIP BOB WIllis Great fast bowler beautiful action Respect again from PAKISTAN 🇵🇰 ***
Paul Allot talking about his pal Bob is really moving.
Wonderful and sometimes misunderstood player and broadcaster. He told it exactly how it was. Everyone needs that pantomime villain. Playing cricket throughout my life, you play against people who are angry or miserable on the pitch. Most the time they were the best ones to have a drink with after! Brilliant man, amazing personality he is missed and will be missed for years to come. RIP Bob Willis
90 TESTS &325 SCALPS ....& WHOLE LOT OF ATTITUDE,PASSION&PURE LOVE OF PURE FAST BOWLING &LIFE...WOW..SIR BOB ...U WERE &WILL BE "1 OF A KIND"..."REST IN PEACE" TIMELESS LEGEND
Rip Bob u were a great fun both on and off field a great bowler, an outstanding cricketer, a great character and at last one of the finest gentlemen of the game
Nobody loved England cricket more than Bob Willis. One of the legends.
Bob was a brilliant fast bowler. His 8 wicket haul at headingly was one of best bowling spells I've seen
Great tribute to a marvellous cricketer and man. I don’t watch the verdict anymore. Can’t wait to read the book
Mate of mine worked with Botham and Willis in the early 2000s and said the same thing, they were so passionate and patriotic about English cricket.
RIP Legend.. loved his commentary!
What a man. Dearly missed and cherished by all cricket lovers around the world
Thanks, you are all greats. Bought the book. Wish I wasn't talentless so I could be there with you!
RIP bob hope your up there enjoying the sir loved your cricket analysis and your definitely missed by all
Loved that. Great tribute.
What an excellent cricketer and person he was. You will be missed
Brilliant Bowler thanks for the memories RIP Bob Willis
David Willis. That suit is absolutely stunning. Your brother is a ledgend. All the best Sir.
I love people who don’t sit on the fence and Bob definitely slid down one side. Top bloke.
Rip bob loves his voice ❤️❤️
Just a dam good bloke him and beefy legend
One of my favorite commentators Sir, Bob Willis. I started watching test cuz of Sir, Bob Willis. RIP BOB WILLIS!
Rip bob. Rest in peace great man with the greater vision.
RIP BOB WILLIS
i absolutely loved this 20+mins of chat.
Well michael holding can talk about any issue or topic with the same grace and knowledge.Absolute respect.
Apart from the race card my friend
After richie he will be missed. Respect from Pakistan 🇵🇰
Wajahat Alvi he was an awesome commentator and so were Richie , Tony
Cozier and Tony Greig . This life is temporary.
Thank you. One Love!
Bob Willis shot from the hip and you can't do anything but respect it!!!
Damn I wish I could see that full of clip of him going at Swann! Rip
great man and legend
Loved him on the verdict. RIP
RIP Bob....i for one will miss you greatly
What a commentator!
What a player!
An absolute legend
Bumbleeee , please keep up the commentary. Bumble is the greatest commentator there is at the moment .
Rip Bob 💔
Wonderful memories gents.
I can’t watch the verdict anymore. Bob Willis RIP
Same ere, Bob Willis was England and the verdict
Very nice tribute
Bob was the skeletor of cricket. RIP.
RIP Bob Wills! Great bowler and commentator..
RIP Bob missing u in the verdict😭♥️
Bob true English gentleman. He always call spade a spade no other name miss you .R I P bob
What a great legacy!
Good show from Bob Dylan for agreeing to be patron of the prostrate cancer charity set up in Bob Willis's name.
Willis (like myself) was a huge Dylan fan. Bob Dylan himself is aware of Willis's career and commented: "Bob Willis was a great sportsman who was taken too soon."
Bob will always be missed . Never a commentator has such audacity to say
Whatever criticism comes in his mind . Richie Benaud , Bill Lawry and Tony
Greig made my childhood days while Bob painted my youth . Vividly and fondly
remember those days of watching SKY SPORTS on Sopcast and Tv U player while
I was in Beijing as an exchange student . The Verdict was the best cricket program .
I would have preferred Sky doing a program in his memory when he was alive .
How fitting tribute that would have been . Bob u always will be missed .
Lovely, very much missed.
One of the best bowlers around
RIP Bob Willis 🙏 the sky studio is empty with him,David Gower and Beefy 🙏
Losing Gower and Botham for Ebony Rainford- Brent and Isa Guha was a joke.
Now they have hired all the clowns who just can scream . And mutter all the
incredible stats which are already on the screen . No anecdotal perspective,
skill description and other aspects . With the present commentary team I can
easily fit in having Standard Londoner accent and I can huff and puff too .
@@drsmart0078 And they have to be seen to be PC, no old white men who were legends of the sport, only young BAME women 🙄🙄
@@nickknight6176 what a downgrade :(
Brilliant.
Love and RESPECT to the Legend.. From India🇮🇳
How can 9 people dislike this
1:48 Rooty hahaha love you
Legend of the game...
“Put the cheese in the trap, in walks the mouse, off goes his head.”
Only cricket commentary can give you this 😂
One of the best lines I've ever heard....r.i.p big bob
Totally sums up virat's England tour of 2014
A great man sadly missed, met him in Melbourne as an 11 year old
BESB, when you met Bob was that on the 70'71 Tour? Lovely guy. RIP.🏏🇬🇧😊
Top Man!
RIP Bob Willis
He was so right about the umpires call thing.
If we did get rid of it, it would be time to be rid of onfield umpires.
oh i will miss him
I don't know where Charles Colvile has gone, but Mark Butcher isn't well-suited for the Debate. It's a hard listen. Bob wouldn't have been afraid to point out what rubbish it is now.
EDIT: I didn't mean to sound so negative. This is a wonderful tribute to Bob.
Perhaps Charles doesn't want to do the Debate anymore without Bob?
Most of the pundits are ECB yes men. Bob was one of the few who said it as it was
It's the fact that people are so afraid to say anything against the players
Miss Charles and Bob together
that's a good point. where is charles colville ?
Rest in peace bob😭
A sad loss, I hope the book sells well, a very worthy cause. - RIP Bob.
Bob Willis. Legend
Bob Willis was a great bowler and a bit of a character we all miss his comments on cricket rip from Christopher sharp from staplehurst kent
Look's like a good lad even from overseas
Bobs analysis in the noughties was just friendly, fair but FIRM.
Yep the Debate just ain't the same without Bob and Charles Colville
quite right. only watched the verdict for bob.
Loved Bob can’t stand Coleville Bob being a cricketing legend could afford to be grumpy and give his opinion. Coleville pompous arrogant with next to no ability
Please upload" The Cricket Debate show regularly
Regards
Sky sports should play archive footage of the verdict on this UA-cam channel. It would get millions of views.
Rip bob always rated him for his fairness to overseas teams.
One of the best. Big heart/Passion.
RIP BOB WILLS.
Some of the most iconic statements truly made memorable by Bob Willis..still laughing on hookers one
Lovely bloke to work with. Please text the number if you can and donate, it would really make his day.
Great cricketer.
What is the song playing in background.
Which song is this in the background?
RIP
The song playing is Shooting Star by Bob Dylan.
Great launch me at 10:21
Is that pearl jam in the background?..Bob was a star!
Man of the Hour! Great tune for a great man.
Pearl jam
which one is it?
@@sushantpokhrel2364 man of the hour
@@johnboucher5285 thanks
Miss him Tony creig , Tony cozier and Richie benaud
kartik satish Tony Cozier was fascinating too . Such a smooth voice with the dominating
Windies was a perfect marriage. Luckily he doesn’t see the present lot .
That_Singh_Who_Sings luckily he is alive .
@@drsmart0078 oops right
Told it as it was
Sad news R.I.P
It's hard to believe in all the games Bob Willis played for England he never got 10 wickets in the game, especially when he got eight against the Aussies in that famous game at Headingley in 1981 in the second innings and still didn't get 10 in the match. Bob Willis was one of the greatest bowlers in my personal opinion for England and his bounce was always on the mark and if you didn't duck or Hook he would have you.
Get a load of that Accrington accent from D Lloyd! His opening portner with Lancs was Barry Wood, wasn't it?
what were they saying in unison at the end
Rip Bob England’s greatest fast bowler until Anderson
But i need a compilation of Willis getting excited when England played well to prove he wasn’t anti England
Bumble saying if he takes you on a night out then bring a safety net and wardy replies with “the lines he would deliver”🙄😂😂
I miss Bob's voice in the comm box!
bumble is so funny
Request to sky sports please stream the live pre, post lunch & tea break shows on UA-cam.
325 wickets for England, former captain and people believe that he was against English cricket? World has gone mad.
18:35 what's that song, anyone?
@Bois82 Thanks mate
I didn’t know what the cancer stickman meant I do now... (also kudos to bumble for wearing a Black Lives Matter patch every life matters animal and human why can’t we all just get along...) cricket is an amazing game and Bob Willis was one of the finest exponents of our game a hugely funny man a tremendous cricketer just brilliant...
The title of his book is absolutely correct RGD Willis is a cricketer and a gentleman rest easy Bob...
Completely agréé,He must have squirmed Every time he heard his interview post headingley because He became exactly what he criticised
English game is not quite the same without him.
