You're usually on the ball but the elseworld's 80 page giant you displayed is not the recalled original. It's the reprint from 2011. The real one has the older DC bullet logo and isn't prestige format. Big difference in values. 👍
I recently picked up that Chuck Dickson Nightwing #1 for $25. Also picked up an Action Comics 471 for a buck at the spot I buy bulk at. Didn’t even know that 471 was a key, I can’t help but pick up any Superman covers that are cool.
One of my favorite underrated keys is Doorway to Nightmare #1, the first appearance of Madame Xanadu. I feel like a lot of the mystical characters seem to be gaining popularity and it could have some value in the future
NEW 52 Batman is incredible. I read it multiple times. Real good run of batman issues right there especially the first 15-20 issues or so. new 52 Nightwing is great too! good video bro! Chick dixon nightwing is peak
For me, there are industry dictated keys and books that may be a key just to me for one reason or another. I just don't sticker my keys. Only industry dictated keys. Like, anything with Morbius in it is a key. Simply because he's in it.
Nice mix of comics here James. Kyle Baker's story in the Elseworlds Giant is a great example of DC's management panicking over nothing - ironically, Baker won the Best Short Story Eisner Award for the story.
Perfect video love the content! I learned a lot especially the Action Comics! I heard that Spawn issues that came out during the Covid epidemic are hard to come buy. Do you know about any Marvel or DC Comics during Covid are hard to get? Thanks again! I keep on hunting for comics that are just a little beyond my reach. Oh oh oh that Batman Superman Else World comic I have never seen!!!!😮
Recently found in a FLCS box for about $35 a nice copy of Justice League of America #43. The 1st appearance of the Royal Flush Gang. Finding cheap silver age goodness like that in the wild is a beautiful thing.
James you basically pulled out my comic book wishlist, I love the bat family and I’m starting to get more into Superman so this was awesome. Keep up the great content!
Your DC knowledge is awesome. I know plenty of Marvel and some DC so I always pick up DC history or relevant information based on your experience with DC. Great vids man.
a lot of those books are on my want list, I keep saying now is the time to pick up DC keys. I love how you make lists of the underrated or unknown keys. One of my favorites from you is Detective Comics #599 1st appearance of Henri Ducard.
That first jack nimball Toyman is so good. I like how they introduced him as a new Toyman who straight up murders Winslow Scott, instead of just ignoring Winslow Scott’s continuity and rebooting the Toyman character. Pretty edgy for the time.
Yes, granted that your channel is called Mint-Hunter, but I always find it interesting that you go out of your way to get the cleanest possible copies for your pc. I’m waiting for the market to sink even more and CGC to be less of a thing so I can find raw copies that aren’t falling apart but aren’t anywhere near mint. Primarily because I don’t have the money for mint books. Guess I’m a low-grade is better than no grade guy.
I love the rare and under rated DC keys! I was at my local shop and I asked for Flash 181. The guy was like "is that a key?" I was like "not a key anyone cares about but me" - second appearance of the samuroids.
My favorite underrated DC books are actually minor characters like Captain Atom, Firestar, and Blue Devil. Most of those series have some decent minor keys in them, but can be found in $1 bins periodically.
Thinking about going back to Legion issues and work on run again...have most Adventure Comics #300 up plus few misc previous, Superboy and first direct Legion issues but none after 1990....always one of my favorite titles as a kid...
Yes me too best runs of the legion after adventure comics 380 was the run in superboy from 195 with the dave cockrum Mike grell runs and later the Keith giffen run
I've been really after Flash keys, a lot are super cheap. Some of my favorites I've collected are first appearance of Heat Wave, Walter West/Dark Flash, Black Flash, Rainbow Raider
Ive always wander why adventure comics 462 death of e2 batman that was a key book for me but lovely cover that action 285 when supergirl is revealed to world one of my favourite covers in my collection
I think a lot of silver/bronze aged Action Comics/Adventure Comics/Superman/Superboy comic keys are underrated and undervalued. Superman keys will have their day again someday.
I think Yara Flor is underrated big time and deserves a bigger spotlight. But that book is really only a couple years old so maybe it's not fair to stick her first appearance in this conversation. Otherwise I submit Saga of the Swamp Thing #49 and #50 for their unofficial 1st cameo and 1st full appearances of Justice League Dark.
Batman 457: I may be wrong, but I believe that's not the 1st Tim Drake in Robin suit. I think it's the 1st appearance of the new Robin costume (no more green short-shorts or bright yellow cape).
You are correct. I recently picked up 457 (new costume with the two-toned black/yellow cape) along with 442 (first Tim in classic costume) and 436 (first app. of Tim, himself).
I have that elseworlds.. that one you have is not the original..you can tell by the front.. yours says 100 page and the valuable one is the 80 page..$40 - 60 bucks tops..
Great video. Great information. I think Action comics issue 595 The first appearance of Silver Banshee is an underrated comic book.
You're usually on the ball but the elseworld's 80 page giant you displayed is not the recalled original. It's the reprint from 2011. The real one has the older DC bullet logo and isn't prestige format. Big difference in values. 👍
beat me to it.....
Beat me too. Totally off the mark, wrong logo and everything.
I have been waiting for a DC key video thank you! Please share more when you can my friend

You deserve OVER one million subscribers.
ANOTHER KEWL VIDEO LOVE THE OLD COMICS AND THE CAP GO PHILS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for sharing part of your collection
I have the same nightwing 1 in a 9.6
Not a DC guy, but I was pleased to see I have at least a dozen of your key books. Thank you.
Wonderful!
One of my favorite underrated keys is Doorway to Nightmare #1, the first appearance of Madame Xanadu. I feel like a lot of the mystical characters seem to be gaining popularity and it could have some value in the future
Good stuff. Love that you cover dc
NEW 52 Batman is incredible. I read it multiple times. Real good run of batman issues right there especially the first 15-20 issues or so. new 52 Nightwing is great too! good video bro! Chick dixon nightwing is peak

Oh oh oh that Batman Superman Else World comic I have never seen!!!!😮
Ahh my favorite type of videos this is my wheelhouse
Very informative!
Every small key I have ever bought has become a major key 5-10 years down the road. It’s an investment!!!
Awesome books and I thought we were going to not here about something green lantern😅😅😅
Just found your channel. Thank you, i enjoyed your views on these books lol
Did you forget about pressing tutorial video? Waiting for this so much.
Wow nice, some of these I’ve seen and some never even thought of to be of interest. I know what I’ll be looking for on the next hunt.
Underrated keys, or even just older books, are always fun to look at.
Your DC knowledge is awesome. I know plenty of Marvel and some DC so I always pick up DC history or relevant information based on your experience with DC. Great vids man.
That Harley and Ivy cover is by Bruce Timm, co-creator of Batman TAS. Big fan of his art and covers!
Some great keys there, love anything to do with the losh,my fav superteam
Love Chuck Dixon. Robin and Batgirl Year One are underrated.

Omega Men #2 has the cover for #3 in the letters page. Can be considered a cameo of Lobo? Depends on the reader….
That Rage of the Red Lanterns is the 1st and third printings....I have all three. Sketch 3rd printing being the most valuable

Any of the silver age appearances of Hawkman...especially in The Brave and The Bold appearnces is underrated.
My favorite underrated DC books are actually minor characters like Captain Atom, Firestar, and Blue Devil. Most of those series have some decent minor keys in them, but can be found in $1 bins periodically.

Nice Keys!!
Any of the 100 Page giants from the 70s have some flair and occasionally some significance!
The #1 under rated DC key would be... Justice League Of America, the first appearance of.... THE KEY!
Facts, I been buying up a few for great deals the last year or so. Underrated villain imo
Man of steel 17 and 18 come to mind
Although only those lol
I've been really after Flash keys, a lot are super cheap. Some of my favorites I've collected are first appearance of Heat Wave, Walter West/Dark Flash, Black Flash, Rainbow Raider
I have that 80 pg. Elseworlds as well....didn't realize I got up to 300
Ive always wander why adventure comics 462 death of e2 batman that was a key book for me but lovely cover that action 285 when supergirl is revealed to world one of my favourite covers in my collection
Big question. When should you sell comic??
If everything is a KEY issue, nothing is.
How do you find the values of those Free Comic Book Day books. I have the one with the first appearance od Simon Baz.
For underrated and undervalued DC, I like New Teen Titans Annual 2 (1st Vigilante) and Firestorm 1 (1st Firestorm).
so is that first human target gonna be in a claim sell? lol been looking for a good copy
Nightwing 1 by chuck Dickson is a sick cover
What issue # is the Superman action comics ?
I think a lot of silver/bronze aged Action Comics/Adventure Comics/Superman/Superboy comic keys are underrated and undervalued. Superman keys will have their day again someday.
are any of these going to be in your claim sale?
I like Tracy 13. But my underrated is rose/thorn
What are your thoughts on the new Spider-Boy character? Is it a key worth picking up?
Personally for me.I wont pick up spider boy especially at the high price it is in right now.Rather get a Spiderman 2099#1
At retail price if you did not now imo
Action comics 252 is pricey in any stabbed grade. Back in November, I got $1200 for a stabbed 3.0
I told my LCS a year ago that DC will overtake Marvel in the market and he thought I was a fool. Just look now. Dc is on the rise.
Batman 457: I may be wrong, but I believe that's not the 1st Tim Drake in Robin suit. I think it's the 1st appearance of the new Robin costume (no more green short-shorts or bright yellow cape).

you selling these sunday?
early!!! Love the content!!
Watches that matrix detective comics going for I like that cover roughly average price I want to find that one
Surprised you had no Green Lantern low key -keys
That DC Elseworld is a reprint. The rare version doesn't have the #1 on the cover.
1 app of superman for Banshee
LMAO was the original owner of that comic jealous of superman.....you decide!! 🤣
sounds like a big storm in the background:(
Hey
What's up
I'm looking for
A solid copy of
The classic series
From Amalgam Comics
I'm talking about Iron Lantern #3
Anybody help me out.
HOW ABOUT THE DEATH OF GOLDEN AGE BATMAN????
You mean DC actually has keys? 😆
What did I just hear? Arkham Knight a good video game? Game was such a let down.
Once again you are using those "Key Issue" stickers way to liberally.
Hey. If websites, apps, and the industry says it's a key , then it's a 🔑
I have that elseworlds.. that one you have is not the original..you can tell by the front.. yours says 100 page and the valuable one is the 80 page..$40 - 60 bucks tops..
