Ellen I love all your work but I have to say Ink and Wash ! you can't beat it. I grew up with pen and ink and only found wash to add to it when I saw your tutorials, so thank you for sharing with us xx
Thanks for sharing!!
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the way you paint and explain how you are painting.
I am always on the look for water color instructors on UA-cam specially mixing it with ink. I am a beginner and I need instruction .
I am so glad I found you 😀
What a great piece for practice .
I want to eat the orange 😂

Ink and wash has such a different look I love all the ones you have posted.
Love it!!! so simple yet stunning. Thanks again!
Exactly what I needed to get me back on track with my wc journal. Many thanks ❤
Loved this, Ellen….thank you 🤩💕🤗
You inspire me and your steps make it possible for any level painting to find tips and tricks. Complimentary color shadows! Yes!!
I already grabbed a set of silver ware that I sketched. It will be my first ink and wash.
I loved this video. I try to avoid drawing, but I shouldn't. One artist says don't sketch, others say you must. I think you are correct. Ellen, I think the color blue that you are saying is pronounced Ver -D-EYE-ter (Verditer by Holbein). It's tricky to say and spell, but it is a beautiful color that I use often. I hope I didn't hurt your feelings.
Love it ❤love the ink and wash and how you leave white spaces even the unfinished lines it gives it that cartoon illustration look i tend to over think it and expect perfection but thats the joy of watercolor you can fix anything thankyou your awesome
I get lost in all of your amazing videos.
Someday, I would love to see what your technique would be for a dark midnight sky in 3D. I figured out the color combo: Prussian, Indanthrene, and Diox Violet. Indigo alone for darker areas. But every time I try, I just end up with a gray mess.
Keep up the great work. Always look forward to your new videos. 🌟
Great demo!!! You make it look so easy.
I love me some ink and wash! This is fabulous and has a lot of great tips in this tutorial. Thanks Ellen 😊❤

Cute plate, Ellen! You must have a nice lighting set up for your studio. I like how the photo turned out, as well as how you combined the two photos for the painting.

For anyone thinks "I can't draw!" I couldn't either 4 years ago, but trig lots of practice, many hours per week, and focusing on what I see, not what I think I see, I'm now very excited to be able to draw things that look like the subject! So just practice and enjoy the prices of learning.
What do you mean by it's just a study? I thought it was just a little sketchbook thing. I love it by the way and every other tutorial of yours I have followed.
Adorável. Amei este estilo. Amei sua arte!❤ 🇧🇷🇧🇷
Thx ☺️
I have used some markers but I observe that after some time on the sun, some brands tend to fade away. Does it happen to you? Can you give me a piece of advise? I can't be sure if they will be light proof so I'd rather use Chinese ink or black watercolor not to risk. .. Although markers are more convenient.
😃❤
Observe is my weakest part
