You may not be a germaphobe, but your visualization of urine on the floor and therefore shoes made me one! Great tips, interesting how peoples' methods can differ so much. Good call on the PPE!
Here I am…… for months…. Thinking, magic erasures are trash, you use them and 3 minutes later they are just little pieces everywhere… grabbed one tonight and BOOM!!! You have a new sub now!! Just started adding more shoes to my repertoire and these videos will help a ton, thank you!!!!
I wish buyers would understand how much time it takes to find. Clean. Make add, wrap, ship used shoes. But unfortunately they still want everything for as low as possible... sometime close to nothing...
I feel a bit silly right now. LOL. I've been cleaning up sneakers for a few months I guess...with brush and hand method. I have these brush-drill extensions in my basement with my car tire care..for the rims. Which I have never used. Ok..now I'll be using them! 😆 Sure it's a bit more messy...but at least my hand wont cramp up! Thanks! I did take these old 2002 Adidas Superstars "Shell Tops", been in a closet for almost 20 years. Sneaker is in great condition...except for the crazy oxidation / yellowing on the white front "shell" hard plastic part and midsole due to age, just sitting. I couldn't get these yellow with brushing, cleaners...etc. Another trick I saw elsewhere which I completed this past week, it only took a total of 90 min. Product called Salon 40 Cream (cheap and can be found on Amazon or a Sallys beauty supply pretty darn cheap $5) First off ***MAKE SURE YOU WEAR GLOVES, you MUST protect the skin from this cream** Just used a result brush...applied it to front hard shell part, midsole. Placed them in the sun...for 45 min, took them out..washed off the cream. The difference was night and day! I did for one more 45 min session to hit parts where the sun didn't hit. Outcome was more impressive than I thought. But cleaning for resell..nice little side hustle. Or copping a hard to find/discontinued pair of Jordans for example at thrift super cheap...deep cleaning them, slight restore if needed. It's pretty satisfying!
The best rubber gloves of all are Microflex SG-375 blue rubber gloves. They are great for working on cars or painting or doing whatever other dirty things need to be done. A box lasts me like a year or two. I prefer size L.
They say acetone does wonders for Vans & Converse soles, since they're rubber soles the paint won't wipe off like in the case of other sneakers with painted soles.
@@nickwoo1 no problem, I tested it out and it did work very well on a classic pair of vans with white soles. Wore gloves and a apron to help from getting anything on my clothes especially using acetone, a clean towel and just dabbed a corner with the acetone and worked a smal area first before I ran it across the whole sole, didn't go over the vans logo on the back middle of the sole but it made the yellowish sole go back to white and looked brand new so I was very happy with the results, good luck on the test and drop the results in your next cleaning video if you can, would like to see how it works for others. Thanks for the reply Nick 🙏🏽
This are great tips. Thank you for them. I've been washing shoes for years. The dirtier they are, the cheaper they are. I wash them by hand at the kitchen sink. Hot water, a few drops of Dawn dishwashing liquid and little rubbing alcohol and a scrub brush. The alcohol will sanitize and get rid of most dirt. Great for ink marks on cloth too. For white rubber that will JUST NOT come clean, hot water, Barkeeper's Friend powder. I use a wash cloth, careful not to get it on the cloth of shoe, and rinse really well. Picked up some white Clifton 8 Hokas last week. DIRTY! Came out looking brand new. For darker color shoes, lukewarm water and a little vinegar in the water. Keeps colors from running
Thanks for the vid. I might buy more shoes to resell after seeing this. One thing that holds me back is the cleaning time. I only buy if I see minimal cleaning.
@@nickwoo1 I have spent 15+ minutes on a pair of shoes before. Lot of brush strokes in 15 minutes. 😳 Yes they sold but I can list 5+ other items in that 15 minutes that I don’t have to spend any time cleaning.
@@nickwoo1 did some thrifting last week while on vacation in Daytona. Picked up 4 pairs of shoes. The drill technique with the brushes worked great. Thanks for the tip. And yes, I would recommend doing it outside. On low speed it’s not bad but on high speed things start to get messy.
It would be good to know how high the margin of value you make the shoe after you clean them. Sometimes I wounder if taking 10 to 15 minutes to clean one pair is worth the 5% increase in value i give the shoe. A 20% increase in value is sure worth it regardless of having these speedy tools you have. This video gives me ideas for the future. Thanks.
I just found your videos and have gotten a great deal of info already. I actually commented on another video asking if you had something showing how you clean shoes. Shortly after, I found this one. Great tip to use the power brushes. I'll have to pick some up. Thanks!!
Had an employee that would workout in the bathroom... like sit-ups and pushups... like we kept that bathroom clean but you just made me think about to a conversation I had with him about... It doesn't matter how much we clean that... You sir are doing pushups in the bathroom of a public store please stop...
Too much talking and affiliate marketing for unnecessary products. Most people like videos that get to the point without much talking.
Would be good if you had a close-up, showing us the condition of the shoe when you started and then after.

Always enjoy your videos. Been using isopropyl alcohol on shoes for years and it's amazing, worth trying

Thank you for the kind words! I’m really glad that the video was helpful! And yes, if used correctly, the magic eraser is incredible!
Thanks save money and look like a million bucks 👍 ✌️
Do you clean the upper part of the inner shoe? It looks like you just cleaned the back part?
Awesome video. You look like a butcher. Cutting through the grim. Enjoy the day and enjoy the fishing.
Haha! Thanks Doyle! It’s definitely a fun method of cleaning!

Does the spray work on timberland suede style boots??
Yes, it works great on that material.
Should have used the toilet brush thing to clean deeper inside the shoe. Not everyone wants to take off the laces of shoes when they clean them
Too much talking not enough showing. You could have introduced your products and equipment as you showed how to clean the shoes.
Thank you great video. How do you brighten up black rubber soles? Thanks
#wreckingtheenvironment 😂😂😂
I find Laces at Garage Sales for Cheap, I buy them.
Not a hermaphobe eh?
It was a very settle low key high key way of saying you do lol

I'm going to check these out!
Me too
This video it's so funny n productive 🤣
Cool
Guess, what you can get a magic eraser for the drill too. So nice! Thanks for the info!
Good to know! I’ll have to look into that!
They say acetone does wonders for Vans & Converse soles, since they're rubber soles the paint won't wipe off like in the case of other sneakers with painted soles.
I’ll definitely have to experiment with that! Thanks for the info!

I’ve accidentally ruined a pair of converse with acetone 😩 it smeared the painted line

Most sneakers can go in the washing machine. Soooo much easier
That method does not work for cleaning shoes to resell, personal use maybe but they won't get as clean as if they are handwashed.
Soaking the shoes for an extended period of time in the washer can damage the glue that holds the upper to the sole.
Adding on to these responses, washing machines would waste a lot of money & can be rough on the shoes and would extend your drying time.
Can we get a review?

Totally agree. I have begun only buying shoes if I can clean them in 1-2 minutes.

best of all the shoe cleaning videos. Thank You, As a nurse that just recently retired I want to thank you for all the safety measures in the video.
I appreciate it!

Very informative, but in a 13 minute video about cleaning shoes, why did it take almost 8 minutes to see you pick up the first shoe?
I have been craving this video, thanks bud!
Awesome! I’m glad you like it!

I have a beautiful foot bath I don’t consider my feet worthy to soak in as it belongs to my eBay shoes 😂
I use degreaser on all soles to clean. Removes permanent marker from thrift stores as well. Magic eraser was too big of a pain with the crumbling.
The Winters coming wee blib..hilarious! Thank you, I needed that chuckle
Great Content do you still do the "Shoe Lots" interested in buying some
Drill Bushes & HD Gloves I found at a Garage Sale.
Try using dishwashing liquid soap on the side soles and bottom soles because most of the dirt is actually grease stains.
Great video! Supported you a bit by buying the apron through your link.. thanks again for the tips!
Just what I needed. I expend too much time cleaning shoes. Thank you!!!
Wow, super impressive. Thank you so much! It takes me forever to clean shoes.
I've heard that stuffing wet shoes with unprinted newsprint paper helps them dry faster.
😂😂😂😂
Very Interesting!! Thanks!!🤗♥️🙏🏼
Love your editing style. I don’t know how you aren’t getting more views. Keep it up
anyone have any good tips on removing pet hair from the inside of the shoes?

Thank you great video
Thank you for the feedback!
its really worth it do clean shoes and then take pictures..list them on ebay...and maybe not to sale them...its worth it?
Absolutely. I sell everything.
Excellent, thank you!
Awesome thanks!

Excellent job 👏
U just talked me out of selling shoes
It’s definitely not for everybody.
💯💯💯👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾
