Because if you finish say 3rd then you raced those guys for 3rd place. Some of those races are tactical as well as physical, so it's not fair someone with a better chip time gets your position cause they didn't race. Take another example, supposing you finished 1st, you could have gone faster but why if your 1st? Then someone further back wins because they know the time to beat. It's why 'purists' prefer gun time, because it takes racing into account.
@@vikroy3777SO much strategy in racing that can change a race completely, totally. Do you make your move and break away? If someone else breaks away, are they going to burn out? So you stay and draft with the group until farther down and trust your kick?
I am born and raised in Brooklyn NY in Parkslope area, and there is Prospect Park which is basically like Central Park except smaller, and nothing gets you more motivated to run then seeing the plethora of people on a Saturday/Sunday morning. I mean you have these fit ass people going on runs and you ask yourself "how o earth is anyone not motivated to run when looking at these scenes"
Love to see the films, much more relatable than the NN running group who probably averages 2:05 marathoners. The chance of bumping into one of these athletes is much more higher and thus much more enjoyable to work together. PS Tim Rossi, send me your top 5 celcius drinks, pls & thx
How many miles a week do you guys run in between marathon builds to maintain fitness? 60? 50? And then ramp up 16ish weeks out? What have you found works well?
Yo how do you get a sponsorship from Bandit? I've just found them like a month ago and I really love what they are doing. The team of athletes is exceptional and I feel like the brand can only go up🔥
The best women runner from Wisconsin my home state is injured so there are no Americans that will hold a candle to the gals from Africa so who really cares who makes the Olympic team unless the gal that won the cross country ncaas she is the really only gal that is world class
loving this series so much

Please keep this sort of content up after the trials. Too heat! 🔥🔥
Awesome content yet again. The stories matter and some people just need a chance to share theirs.

I tracked you Lily during the race! Awesome job xoxo Wesley
That’s crazy they based it off of gun time!
I don’t understand why gun time is what’s considered and not chip time.

As a noobie runner I love these, they definitely motivate me to keep training.
The USATF ‘s requirement to use gun time for qualification is stupid
hell yeah!!
Shouts out to Oregonians living in NYC.
You don't think she running fast until you see her passing regular runners.
4:37 is she vaping while running?
nope, eating a gel
