My grandmother had liver cirrhosis, but she still couldn't stop drinking. She started hiding the bottles away. She would become so confused because alcohol turns into ammonia when your liver fails. She was literally experiencing ammonia poisoning.
When my liver was getting really sick I started to get confused. I brought this up to my psychiatrist because I thought it was my brain and having to do with anxiety. He knew I was waiting for a Liver and he understood what was going on and I got medication that kind of cleared things up. When I got my new liver, didn’t have to take that medicine anymore.
It amazes me that alcohol is legal, every day the more I learn about it I’m shocked. My dad was and still is an alcoholic to this day, it tears your family and life to pieces.
@infinitedeath1384 you're always exposed to it (alcohol) that's the problem. Your parents/friends/people you know might try to get you to drink. From drinking once you might get an addiction for it.

My mom passed away last Christmas, December 24th from something we never found out about, in a small town in a small apartment, the same place she was with my father at when passed 11 months before. far from everyone she loved, we found over a dozen bottles empty, handles of vodka, so many that we didn’t know that we accidentally brought a couple back to the city when we cleared out her home. She struggled with alcoholism my whole life, before I was born, and up until she passed away. Replaced food and nutrients with it, went thru withdrawals multiple times per week. I miss my parents every day, but I ache to have known what I know now involving my mom. Alcohol is literal poison
Are you a child or something? You will literally die if you do not consume sugar. Mostly all foods contain sugar, because they all start from plants, which produce glucose (sugar) through photosynthesis. If you want to die, feel free to stop eating sugar.
Alcohol means a hydrocarbon with oxygen that is in liquid form. If you’re talking about Ethanol, which is an alcohol, then this video would be a little more correct.
Im really praying for my mom. Shes been sober for a year but went back to drinking. She cant stop and she drinks about a case or two each day after work. I feel like this is somewhat misleading as you don’t talk about how much alcohol use has to occur for this to happen. I would assume this is referring to heavy drinking?
This varies greatly depending on the person, how much you drink and overall genetics. But most of the time cirrhosis only develops over the course of many years or decades.
@IvlivsCaeserBut I suppose there are different levels of drinking, drinking a glass of 2% alcohol apple cider per week is fine whereas drinking multiple bottles per day would cause the phenomenon shown in this short
