The man we wanted! I think had Dinwiddie chosen Dallas over LA this year and balled like '22 Spence, we would've beaten Boston.
I agree 100%, he would have been a perfect fit.
Boston was just too deep. Maybe we could have pushed the series to 6 but I doubt we still would have won
I think with this squad we have a chance, Naji defends bigger forwards like Jayson, or like a Brown unlike Derrick who defends guards, Quentin will defend the guards.

I can see Klay shooting 45% from 3 next season. His average may drop to 15-16 ppg but his efficiency will skyrocket. Maybe a 50-45-90 shooting splits for Klay next season

I genuinely think Kyrie might put his hand up to come off the bench for certain sections of the season…it would allow us to slot Naji or Grimes as a POA defender and then we hand the game over to 4th Quarter Kai in the last…Kyrie doesn’t give a crap about his numbers and has already been sacrificing his first half scoring to let Luka cook…the dude is zen, I really don’t think he’d be mad at it would save his legs for game-winners 🤔

If he would be willing to do that, the main concern of the starting 5 (defense) would go away. I just hope that either Thompson or Kyrie get the situation and do the right thing. If one of them sacrifices the starting role, this team would be extremely good on offense and defense from start to finish.

the thing with age is P.J and Gafford are only 26 they are just entering their prime and they spent a majority of their time on bad teams that hurt their development, we saw how well the two played within a week of playing with Luka it should be a great jump being able to spend a whole year together

OKC Has One Of The Best Defenses In NBA With Lu Dort, Alex Caruso, And Cason Wallace. Not To Mention Two 7 Footers In Harteinstein And Chet Who Are Both Shot Blockers As Well As Rim Protectors. J-Dub, Isiah Joe, and Aaron Wiggins Are The Shot Creators Outside of SGA. Chet Can Shoot Too. Dallas Not Deeper Than The Grizzlies.
Klay’s presence on the court alone is getting slept on imagine when he starts cooking which I believe this year he will pick it back up not to all star level but I could see him avg 22 this season he shot much better the 2nd half of the year a shooter needs to find his rythem that’s what’s most important for shooters

You know having 2 7’0 footers is great I’ll honestly have the bench with Spence, hardy, grimes, marshall, gaf/lively… dont really have faith in omax and we could use the scoring of hardy and he was actually pretty decent in pick and roll as a passer in the playoffs

Klay gonna be huge addition in terms of consistency imo because Tim Hardaway was an extremely streaky shooter, and at the end of the 2nd half of the season. Tim hardaway averaged like 9ppg on horrible efficiency, and yeah, everybody likes to joke on Klay going 0-10 from 3 in his last game at Golden State, but forget he averaged in a down year, 18ppg on 38% from 3 on 9 attempts while Tim hardaway shot 35% from 3 on 8 attempts, scoring 14ppg, but really it was much worse. If i remember right, Tim averaged like 9ppg, 25% from 3. It was that bad, and it's why he was benched in the playoffs.

Also spence, great ball handler and can create shots and clutch and was a huge part of that 2022 WCF run. Also a 7’5 defensive stopper. They were just a few pieces away from beating Boston and I think they’ll be able to this time with hopefully a HEALTHY Luka and Kyrie getting over the hump. Whoever they met, I think they will beat. They should be the favorites, no doubt💯💯
