Absolutely some of the best dungeon synth ever made, proving it can definitely be something more of a compositional masterpiece than just an ambient soundscape that's Lo-Fi
Landon Warsmith- Based on your mention, I downloaded and watched the aforementioned "Dragonslayer" for the first time just the other day. Not necessarily "brilliant" (in terms of film masterpiece material) but nonetheless classic stuff and a great fantasy-adventure film! Thanks for the indirect recommendation! I thoroughly enjoyed the story. (And yes, indeed the imagery on this album cover seems to be based upon that film!)
Coming back to this yet again as today I sewed on my patch of this album onto my jacket. I have a little corner for dungeon synth away from all of the metal.
+steve bussemi This one was given to me by a great friend. Anyway, don't worry if someday anything from the channel is down, I'll recreate a new one ! And all the music is on my hardisks, my tapes and my Cds, forever.
love the Casio on this one. Might be the same one I got as a kid in 1998. Casio CTK-611. It later broke but then I got a similar Casio WK-1630 ten years later. Also got a Yamaha So3 but now are mostly use them as Midi with Reason software. However, last couple years been mixing them in with the professional sounding Reason stuff to add some extra depth. This also has a mixed sound. The other synths sound some of the more mid to high grade 90s professional synths, like a Roland or something. Anyway I dig it.
Vinyl coming THIS FRIDAY 8/23 via Ancient Meadow Records and Cassette via Dungeons Deep Records. Check them out on Facebook. Both are limited so hopefully you can catch one.
I’m 3 years late, but it started out in the 90’s with some artists making albums that sounded quite similar, but there wasn’t an official term for it. After that the genre was dormant until the early 2010’s when the Dungeon Synth blog (which also created the name dungeon synth) compiled a canon of some of these 90’s releases which led new artists to create music in the same vein as the old 90’s albums. I guess that could be considered the true start of dungeon synth as a movement and a codified genre!
Casket of dreams-Dragons of Autumn Twilight ...Well it`s Dungeon Casket of dreams (Nhqeshphatpoh-Paedobestiality the curse of unhost/Industro Dungeon) cause you don`t get the title Dragons of autumn Twilight(Nhqeshphatpoh-Tghogzha the reality of thought/Atmospheric Trip Goth/Vegan thrash fantasy)
I definitely recognize some old school Casio sounds on Track 07 as I used to have one. I am not sure about the rest, butt I'm sure this is mostly composed from cheap cheesy synths as much of OSDS was. They don't make em like this anymore.
I made this with Mike back in 1998. Glad to see it here as I don't even have a copy of it.
Ancient Meadow will release it on vinyl
I need physical release👀 very nice music.
Total eargasmic sounds Great albu mate.. 20years laters
It's a fantastic album!
Thank you for the amazing music.
I feel like the more I listen to these Dungeon Synth albums on UA-cam the better it gets.
This really puts me in a mood. What mood, I can't quite say. But I can't turn it off.
It's an honor to even be in this comment section..
This is so incredibly great. Still relatively new to this genre and loving it more day after day

Love the original Zelda influence
Where?
That picture is from the movie DRAGONSLAYER. It was a favourite of mine as a kid in the 80s.

Great music...I loved the Dragonlance books as a kid, I might go back and reread them. The Legends trilogy was amazing
and another great discovery .. your channel is gold, another album I've never heard about ..
Playing Hero Quest and listening to this masterpiece. Just awesome, thanks for uploading it.
First dungeon synth i heard, forever embedded amongst my favorite albums ever 🦅
Its one of my favorites to be honest, such an epic classic!!
This is so dope. I don't even know that Genre. It is so insane to Explore and see how much styles of music there is
This album is such an adventure. Every song a different painting and tons of fun synth passages throughout. 🔥
I LOVE DUNGEON SYNTH. THANKS FOR THIS CHANNEL.
This is a collectors Edition Album.....one of the Greatest Albums ever made...a magic ..Dream....
Good old Casket of Dreams... How I miss those Times...
The Basilisk's Eye's composition got me like :OOOOO
Thank god for this channel, Im so glad I found it.
The atmosphere of these old dungeons, however, is impossible to imitate...
This is my soul's resonance ... Perfectly sublime
nice Zelda reference towards the end of the album.
I am becoming a religious listener of this genra. Ty DSA!
Amazing, from music to cover art 10/10
It's literally a screen taken from the film Dragonslayer lol
great álbum...The pagan Eden is awesome....
This album was Re-recommended to me and its still amazing.
I smell EOB, MOM and DM series here. Thank you for that!
Nice find ! The artwork is really lovely btw.
It's actually a screen taken from the film Dragonslayer lol
esta música es maravillosa para quienes aman la fantasia
I wonder if it's just coincidence this has the same name as the Dragonlance book? :) Great stuff!!! Music for D&D, love it.
This is a really good album. Appreciate all your hard work!
Love the intro...
Coming back to this yet again as today I sewed on my patch of this album onto my jacket. I have a little corner for dungeon synth away from all of the metal.
liked for the title
subbed for the music
How do you find all these, dude? I'm worried if your channel goes down for some reason, all this great music will be lost forever..
+steve bussemi This one was given to me by a great friend. Anyway, don't worry if someday anything from the channel is down, I'll recreate a new one ! And all the music is on my hardisks, my tapes and my Cds, forever.
I want a download this release :')
Help me!
@@fabiopaparella226 you can just download it from the video i suppose, i can't find it anywhere else
@@23gtrh2_02 I hate the UA-cam quality!
@@fabiopaparella226 Does it really make a difference? I don't think it does.
masterpiece, liked as soon as i heard the first sound
Very spacey but simultaneously grounded in terrestrial fantasy.
You helped me put a finger on what this album sounds like! It’s dragons, but if said dragons lived on some alien planet.
Dragonlance Chronicles: Dragons of Autumn Twilight
That book changed my life man!
That helped to get me back to work ^^ thank you!!
this album helped me painting... thanks)))
We're done with Dungeon Living! Time for Dungeon Listening 🙇🎆🌃🏮👺🏰🎠🎭🎪🏯🌇
Amazing. Magistral project. Hail this project.
Wow wow wow, saving for nightime ;)
Just heard to 1:09, too good!
eye of evil has parts that sounds like The Adventure of Link dungeon theme variation and I love it
Thank you for sharing!
Just the soundtrack to play in the background when running a fantasy rpg like D and D.
Or reading the many tie-in books to D&D.
This album is awe-inspiring to me.
Pagan Eden and Serpent Race are astounding.
une véritable merveille :o !!
Very good album!
Amazing!
Like a dream
Does “Eye of Evil” 24:44 - 25:13 reference the final dungeon music from The Legend of Zelda: The Adventure of Link? :)
You have a good ear!
Haha I came to comments to ask the same thing. This is great!
OMG where di you get THAT this is AMAZING !!!!!!!
Чем-то напоминает , ранний .MORTIIS. ставлю палец вверх.

I think the metal gear solid ost has some of the best tracks in this genre.
Amazing album, thanks for sharing ! Does anybody know where I can find a Tape / CD Copy of it ? Seems really hard to find.
This is nice! 😁🖤
I am sure I've heard 06. Stain of the Soil before, that's weird! It sounds like Depressive silence, Solanum, maybe Gothmog...
So fucking good
This was recommended by Weed Wizard
some of the synth reminds me of old doom game
anywhere to purchase this album? great stuff!
Vinyl coming THIS FRIDAY 8/23 via Ancient Meadow Records and Cassette via Dungeons Deep Records. Check them out on Facebook. Both are limited so hopefully you can catch one.
Tapes are sold out on Bandcamp. Will there be a rerelease on either tape, vinyl, or CD with the button?
It's the same song...broken into many songs.
Where can I buy that as a CD Or at least Digital? It is so good
Try Bandcamp, you can at least get digital there!
1998, wow! How long has this genre dungeon synth been around?
Since the Ainulindalë, when the void became unvoid by the voices of the Ainur.
I would imagine since the 1980’s? But it truly came into its own in the 1990’s although I think it wasn’t called “dungeon synth” until the mid-2010’s.

My dad wanted to name me Tanis
You have a great daddy :)

Kurzweil k2000 ;)
Just put this on to get stuck into the D&D 5th edition rules.
Let's begin...
Save yourself from playing a bad system and learn the 2nd Edition rules instead.
24:44 Sounds like Zelda II.
Takhisis and Verminaard disliked this
now a third dislike has appeared. probably Ariakas or Kitiara
Who are they and why?
Unreal game ost 1998 b side
Anyone here know Gothic that RPG?
4:26 for god sake, pick up the chair, don't just drag it across the floor
