      Hey, Glenn! I was shocked by how well the “silent movie” came out, with most of the credit going to Final Cut Pro X. That software constantly amazes me!

      Thanks very much, Dan! Too much fun making this. Now we have to figure out how to incorporate silent movies into all the videos. :)

      Thanks much, LaSan! I’m pretty sure we had more fun making the silent film than we did on the ride. Looks like I missed my calling by 100 years or so. :)

      Oh, and I like the bike in your icon! I just picked up a late 20’s early 30’s Hercules Speed King that’s been completely disassembled for frame painting so I’m still trying to sort out what I have and what parts I need to get this old girl back together. :)

      @@bikestrikesrazors The bike is a Wright 1898 St. Clair which sold new for $42.50 (over $1,300 in today's dollars). This machine is in the Smithsonian and is one of only 5 Wright bicycles known to exist. What components are on your Hercules?

    • @bikestrikesrazors
      @bikestrikesrazors  3 роки тому

      @@wrightflyer7855 Wow, how cool is that! Most of the component are unmarked, and from what I've read, by the 1920's Hercules was making most of their own components in house. However, what's left of the saddle is an original Persons 4-rail Track Racer which I'm sending in for restoration, and the rear coaster brake is marked "Harrow" in old script. I think I'll do a video soon showing everything in its current state and then working through the restoration. The only other reference I can find to this model is an old auction listing I found online: www.liveauctioneers.com/item/10058374_130-antique-hercules-speed-king-bicycle

      @wrightflyer7855 3 роки тому +1

      @@bikestrikesrazors A restoration video would be great, something not often seen. Will you paint the frame yourself or send it out, and will any component plating be necessary? Sounds like a fun project.
