Growing up in Louisville as a UK fan I was already seeing a lot of footge of him as a high school player in Owensboro. He could always ball. I think a thing people don't remember is how athletic he was before the knee issues and surgeries....he basically became a 3 point specialist in Phoenix...but in his youth he had a hell of a vertical.
Rex was a great athlete. A lot of pressure was put on him being the 1st draft pick of the Hornets. He was a streaky shooter and I wish he would have drove the lane more often and aggressively, but loved to watch him play!

The heat were one of the 10 losses of the 72-10 Chicago bulls of 95-96. The Bulls never forgave them for that and vowed to crush the heat in any playoffs they had.
I remember the Spanish radio commentators would say chapman made any three he shot so easy as if was shooting aiming at the miami bay. Never forgot that commentary. Chapman got a little cocky with mj and mj started a scoring rampage the Heat were lucky it started late into the game.

If MJ had a weakness on defense, it was tracking shooters. On ball, there was no problem, but guys like Rex drove him nuts with all the screens, and cutting. It wasn't a huge weakness, but I used to see Jordan give up some hoops to guys like that.
