Dammm y'all put up Everything in the description except for the vamos solenoid
You have two wire harnesses going to the VANOS make sure not to interchange them because you will be seeing an assortment of OBD codes. mark the one on top with paint or nail polish

Car repair guys, first thank you for the informative videos, 2nd. Since replacing overhead gasket and all of the other gaskets that my 2009 328i has...I have been getting a rough idle with service engine soon light...I put a coder and got the typical codes p0012 and p0016...to make long story short ...I changed every sensor and vanos solenoids...still I have rough idling...what can I look for to try and solve this problem....sincerely Carlos...thanks.

Update: used pliers and grabbed the vanos at the center (plastic bit).

I need help! I’ve been working on my car since I’ve been watching your videos. I have a huge favor of help if you may.
I have a half full engine light on ! I loose power and when I press the gas pedal it doesn’t go as it supposed too. I try changing the vanos solenoids myself but after 3 days the car doesn’t turn on. It cracks up but nothing . I did put used vanos solenoids from a N54 engine I have ! But I need your help

@kikee11 my car BMW 2011 diesel also loose power and engine light flashes when accelerate from slow moving traffic, I was thinking to clean solenoid, after seeing the message I am afraid to do it , so what is the problem? Is it oxygen sensor?
sometimes it could have something to do with your fuel injectors.. did you take a look at those? my car was having the same exact problem. I had to get my injectors replaced and that made a huge difference. I have yet to replace my vanos (i need them) but sometimes they go hand in hand. That could be your problem, your car might throw in random codes bc of that as well. so get your injectors checked out

Hi mate, I've got a E93 2010 3series. I'm having a rough idle on a cold start and even a stall but this clears up after driving. Do you know if these valves are the reason behind this ? Thank you
Yes. Sometimes removing them and cleaning them with brake cleaner may do the trick. but sometimes they need to be replaced in general.

Hello my friend awesome video thank you for sharing if you can describe the symptoms of a bad solenoid I have a 07 bmw 328i and I’m experiencing rough idle I already replace the spark plugs and all the ignition coils but still having the same problem also there is a very loud noise I change the belt tensioner and the serpentine belt but I still having the same noise sound like is the belt squeaking but loud also I noticed that I was leaking gasoline from the bottom of the car do you have any idea where is that gasoline coming from ??? Thank you the gasoline is not coming from the bottom of the engine is more like from the rear passenger seat I notice a puddle on the floor I thought was water but it was gasoline any help I will really appreciate it thank you
I found a gas leak under my back seat and got it fixed. 08 328
