    Love the content bro. I’m not a hellcat owner but I have the same sickness. I have a F10 M5 that’s been having a major build being done on it since July of this year and it’s still not done. I’m about 60 g’s into the build now. Never in a million years would I thought that I would have spent this kind of money on performance upgrades on a car. Car had close to 800 whp before I sent it off for the build and now we are working on 1100 to 1200 at the wheels on the return. Once it’s back I’m looking to do more !!! I’m gearing up to have the fastest streetable full body/interior M5 F10 in the country/world. You motivate me bro. Keep up the good work and Happy New Year !!!

      I've been saying, repeatedly, that one should not attempt to increase power on the cheap. Every aspect of the car’s capacity should be incrementally increase to absorb the extra stress from the increase power. Every moving part should be replaced, preferably with an upgraded part if available. Cooling system capacity must also be upgraded to account for the additional heat generated from higher rotational forces. There is no mechanical part with finite life span. If the build occurs after several thousand miles of stock usage, know that increasing wear & tear will certainly shorten the life cycle of those parts… change them with new (preferably stronger) ones! Replacing everything new will be very expensive but well worth it.
      I build my 2014 Jeep SRT, and now have over 177,000 miles and have not yet had a part failure, never a check engine light. But I changed everything, from Engine block, crank, rods, pistons, camshaft and all the associated components, down to all bolts and nuts, cylinder head and all its components, lifters, pushrods, Oil pump, water pump, alternator, air-condition compressor, power steering pump, Alternator, torque convertor w/flex plate, transmission, Transfer case, both Diff, all axles, both drive shafts… if it rotates or move during use, it was replaced. Also, sensible practices help too. No revving of a cold engine… especially a boosted engine! Allow those piston and Rings to fully expand before adding boost. When boosted pressures get by the rings between the cylinder walls, those pressures also get between the rings and the piston, applying pressure to both side of the rings. That creates stress fractures and eventually leads to lower compression and failures.
      Like I said, it did get expensive, but it provided me 177,000 miles of trouble-free hard driving. I don’t think there’s a day when I don’t briefly exceed triple digits MPH. Oh, and tuning is extremely important as well. Fuel tables should reflect a gradual increase across the RPM range, Not taking some off low end and dumping it on the upper end or vice-versa. Fuel is important to the efficient operation of the combustion chamber with regards to heat elimination. Good luck with your build, but please don’t try to do it cheap.

    I had a big build planned, made an appointment with a shop 3 months in advanced. and just waiting for parts alone, with companies using covid as an excuse, took 4-6 months (which ruined the build) but people think you're dropping a car off and its gonna be done over the weekend. not realistic at all.
    i was told about the 3.14 (pi rule) you think your project will cost $1000, multiply that by 3.14 . you think it will take 1 month, multiply that by 3.14 . thats an accurate reality of how projects work. only people who get priority are massive youtubers and the obscenely rich who have dedicated companies and shops waiting. and even still, its NEVER as fast as you expect it to be.

    • @Tracked350Z
      @Tracked350Z 3 роки тому

      @@imSchwaggy did you really set reasonable expectations for your build though? I don't know any details, but was 3 months truly enough time? Pre-covid I had an engine built. Took 2 months time with pre-payment for parts, and labor. In today's market, I wouldn't dare set an expectation to have an engine back within 3 months. At the bare minimum, I'd expect at least 6-8 months of down time. That's thinking realistic due to whatever wild issues arise. Planning stage is important. It's not just calling the shop and having an expectation of time.

    • @imSchwaggy

      @@Tracked350Z u didnt read what i wrote lol. I MADE AN APPOINTMENT 3 months in advanced. Meaning lets say I called January, id be dropping my car off to the shop in May. I didnt say I planned to finish the build IN 3 months lol.
      But yeah, i got literally everything, including custom parts from germany and poland. In like a month. But a company in the US which I wont name was only focusing on youtuber and ig famous orders. Delayed everyone else's parts for 3-4 months. Then when they finally shipped, they didnt send a lot of our orders with every component so then it took even longer.
