It's wonderful, isn't it! Saving lives instead of ruining them by making these spectacular animals pets. This is a cause worth supporting, right? They're so cute when they're tiny but very quickly they grow up to have big strong teeth and, as Dave has explained, they'll determine the hierarchy in a household, and then a lot of biting starts at which point (or before) they end up in small cages or tied up. It makes me sick seeing how popular pet sites are and the number of subscribers is staggering. I try to help spread the word about VMF to family, friends, neighbors, etc. and everyone is incredibly grateful when I do and that's a great feeling, it makes my day and theirs. So nice to see genuine rescues - no constant bathing, dressing monkeys up in human clothing or teaching them tricks and behaviour to 'humanise' them just for filming and monetary gain. Primates should not be in captivity but when it is truly unavoidable, this is the way to do it. Fantastic efforts made here.
I really admire these very kind people but it's surprising how many people in the 1st world countries support these abusers and love to see animals dressed in diapers and human clothed. They don't see anything wrong in seeing the animals walking on 2 legs which harms them. I've had some really bad insults when I have pointed out the truth about how the monkeys are abused in Vietnam and Cambodia.
@@susanwinder4251it seems some people are finally catching up to it, even BBC made a documentary about the horrendous monkey abusers with the help of Yard Fish. It’s absolutely heartbreaking but very important to bring awareness. The VMF on the other hand, is a blessing!

Where are you? And what kind of Monkeys are these? It's very refreshing to see a channel where you care for the monkeys so thoughtfully. No diapers or doll clothes. No constant bathing. No forcing them to sit upright or walk bipedally. No scrubbing their little bum with hard bristles, until their little poop area is red, sore and raw. No hitting them and making them flinch or cower. This is a wonderful environment. Thank you so much!

They're in S. Africa and they rescue Vervet monkeys. But, it's not just the rescued vervets that are cared for but the wild "Bandit" vervets who've spread the word to their "family and friends" that there is free food and lodging at VMF so they hang around the foundation lol. Hi from Canada.

I live in the uk and we do not have monkeys living freely here, they are rare and only seen in the zoo, sadly, I have seen more than enough vids of monkeys been bathed and placed in diapers and clothing,
This channel is so refreshing, it fills me with warmth and joy to see these amazing creatures treated with care and respect at vervet , well done , I have lived monkeys all my life and I'm now 60 , never held a monkey, you are so privalidged,
I am in awe of your closeness to them , I would love to volunteer but at my age and living in uk no chance of that.

So many varieties of monkeys. 1st time watching & you are a sanctuary, rescue not a Viet Namese family making macaques cute for profit then disposing of them. Only Yo Yo Jnr. a pigtail macaque is truly loved with his own videos. His Dad has him 3 years or JK & Shaki child size macaques who live with their owner 23 years.
It's so incredibly sad all the videos of people terrorizing these monkeys and then posting it online like it's funny! It's terrible when all you can see is the fear in the monkeys faces. It breaks my heart but finally a channel that is helping these monkeys!!!

It's incredible how VMF gives these little ones a chance at a real monkey life right? This is a safe haven for all of these monkeys, I really wish even the ones that are in homes with humans were taken care of this well, a few are and I applaud the ones that are very well taken care of.

Gillian, unfortunately there are humans who are not very evolved. In every country we find those people hunting, or involved in rodeo, bull or cockfithting, putting large animal in small appartments or cages..
In those other places monkies are considered rats and they are over populated with them , not giving glory to the mistreatment but giving you a better understanding of there value to the third world country humans

Yes, yes, yes. You see videos from when they are babies but then all of a sudden, no more monkey videos. Well, I've seen a few from people who refuse to get rid of them because it's wrong but they are stressing to others about why they shouldn't get a baby monkey.
I am PROUD to be a native of Colorado where owning ANY, ANY wildlife is illegal... especially monkeys! What the people in Cambodia and Vietnam do to these animals is atrociously inhuman and incredibly cruel! The people in those countries should be spayed and neutered as far as I'm concerned!! With what they do to those monkeys its a clear sign as to what they would do to a human life, they should NEVER be allowed to breed! The child would end up under nourished, mentally, physically, and emotionally abused and the child could very well be killed by the parents. If your going to be mean and cruel to an animal you can bet your sweet bippy that it shows what they can and possibly would do to their new born humans! Yes I'm comparing humans to monkeys because the way the 2 act, sound, feel, need, and deserve to be treated are soooooo very similar to one another! A baby is a baby no matter what picture you paint in your heads. For those of you that are monkey haters...I sure wish I knew who it was that broke your give a damn, or should you just go to school for humans with positive attitudes because your emotions are so far off the charts that there's no way if digging you out of your self thrown pitty party!

And so beautiful...... and I didnt really see Diane being scared of humans.....I think she was just being extremely alert and trying to take in all of her surroundings. So I feel like she was distancing herself while trying to figure out if she can trust you guys, and making sure before she got close, that you humans are good

I am so happy to find people that really care about these sweet little monkeys. I was watching another channel and it was so heartbreaking to witness this clueless woman caring for a newborn baby monkey with the umbilical cord still attached to it’s little body! Where’s the mother??? I can’t bear to think about that😢He kept crying pitifully for his mother with that who who sound😢This awful women just laid him on a cushion unwrapped with his little arms and legs quivering and flailing about. Then she tried to give the poor thing milk from a small bottle with what appeared to be a hard plastic nipple. He had no interest in it at all. Next she tried to feed him with a spoon with no luck either. I think this poor little monkey was maybe in shock. I’ve seen these tiny monkeys being bathed with what looked like hand soap as they shake and cry in fear knowing there’s no way to escape. Then after the bath the monkey scratched and scratched because improper soap was used. Also having raw bottoms from wearing diapers! I just cried and was so angry that it’s probably all done for mega dollars in profit😢But there are angels like you that restore my faith in humanity. Bless you🥰

Appreciate these adorable baby monkeys but do so without taking them from their mothers and their natural habitat.

Oh Thank you for people like you for saving these wonderful beautiful animals! This shouldn't be happening but it is . I have been watching many videos from Thailand and China and After seen the torture that these little babies go through? I see that they steal the baby from their mums and the stress that these babies are in is just heartbreaking. I can't believe that These people are getting away with this so this is why I haven't been able to sleep because I keep thinking about these babies and the grown ups. There are these which I'm sure you know about these UA-camrs Using these little babies and putting them in a trap Like if baby got in it on their own? but it's clear to see I mean monkeys are not stupid.
