The reason there was very little black sand and gold was from the amount of air flow. Watching I could instantly tell you were giving the 151 too much air. Overshaking looses your fines and heavys. The 151 if run properly will catch ultra fines and loose very little. 90+% recovery is standard. Take a look at my buddy's channel. They run 151s and have found pounds!! Channel is I brake for bedrock.
I am still learning how to properly set up this guy. Slowly getting a feel for it. I agree. The first few runs were far too hot. My last trip I watched several old timers and was amazed how slow they were running vs my setup. I have sense then slowed it down drastically. Thanks for the recommendation I will check out his page this evening.
That is a great question. In all honesty that was my first time in AZ and I learnd quite a bit. Flash floods keep gold near the top. There is not enough time for it to settle deep. With that being said, there is also the issue of flash floods and even general storms happening yearly which does allow some gold to settle in a bit deeper. For this trip I was aiming for bedrock and the deeper I went the worse I did. That may vary though depending on the area and how often it is worked.
@@Oidium45 why is bedrock your destination? In colorado, we pan streams. Does dry washing really work I guess that is a stupid question but I am just starting out.
Some comments on dry washing, One, it can cause a cancer known as silicosis. Very bad stuff. Wear a good dust mask. It is also quite ineffective at recovering gold. Think about 50%. I had the experience of trying it at an outing in Arizona with several experienced dry washers. After cleaning out the mats and finding about 2 grams of gold, I decided to pan the finer material that went through the mesh mats and was trapped inside the dry washer. It was a puffer type. Some of the more experienced user said I wouldn't find much there. I actually found more under the mats than in them, The gold in AZ is very, very fine. Some I found went through a 100 mesh screen. These dry washers won't catch that. Also, you can miss larger pieces coming off the top screen/grizzly. My advice, try to set up some type of recovery system using water. Bye for now. Happy mining.
Your definitely correct about the health risks of all that dust. But, good dry washers are much more efficient than 50% IF they are set up and run correctly and the dirt is not too wet. I get gold so fine it's ridiculous.
@@briancook8938 I have only prospects in AZ once. It is a 6 hour drive for me. There are Garnets here in the San Gabriel mountains as well as a few places near Bishop. The San Gabriels are blood red and the ones near Bishop are cinnamon. I have a vid up showing the ones near Bishop. I did have a chance as a kid to dig for Diamonds in AR but we did not find much.
Sir I hope you have a guard. To oversee the area I hunt gold in AZ and I never turn on lights at night people who are in the area think that everything is there's if you are not hiding behind the hills and one of the crazy comes alone. I would not want to be you .. I hide when I am there..out of sight out of mind 👍
Thx for posting! love the slo-mo starting at 10:04!!
You certainly do get in a lot of mileage and explore a number of claims - it is great that you explore so much. Well done!!
I do what I can! And tend to enjoy it very much.
Nice to know freinds with claims😎👍
How about taking a pick with you if you are going to break packed ground?? So you don't have to break ground with a shovel??
A paleo pick has since then been added. :)
All color is good color! Cool video.....
How do you find a club. To. Join. Where are a good. Place.

Wasn't the riffle angle too flat?
I brake for bedrocks channel is great. He is definitely killing it!
If you find a spot where it looks like rounded River gravels that oughta be good
I understand why you dig in a creekbed, but how do you know how far to dig down?

So how far is this from the RV gathering areas?
Sorry, I am not very familiar with the area. I can say that it is very close to the GPAA claims.
PrivAte claims are usually very good. Not bad gold. Thanks for the video. I subbed to you #269
Im from north part of phillippines.i' m just curios if i can accompuny you there cu'z i have my expirience that kind if works
Just an observation: wouldn't it be better to set the screener down wind do you don't have to choke on the dust?🤔
It is like sitting at a campfire. It doesn't matter which side you are on the wind will magically follow you...
Be careful keep your camp site lit I'm not joking good luck
Dome Rock area?!
I am not familiar with the area but it is across the road from one of the GPAA claims.
I definitely recognize it as the Dome Rock area.

A puffer may not catch it, but a properly set up drywasher will.

What club is this?
Temecula Valley
What group has the claim is it GPA
No, it is not GPAA however there are GPAA claims nearby.
@@Oidium45 thanks I'm not a member yet but will be very soon I think that's the way to go
@@briancook8938 either that or join a local club. They often have decent claims. Not all clubs require a GPAA membership.
@@Oidium45 have any suggestions have you ever prospect for garnet or diamonds in Arizona I've picked about 1400 garnets and about 5 to 6 diamonds

Quartzsite metal detector club claims are better. Have worked a hole other side of road
Man you need a pick
My friend Laura signed up before we left. I will check them out next time.
