Great Video, Steve here one of the owners of the Placer Pete Claim. We are glad you had a great time at the claim. We would love to join you next time out just let us know when you head on out there. Please as always be kind to the claim, watch out for desert tortoises, and other critters. Be safe and have plenty of water with you. Also, please remember, to be on the claim you must be a GPAA/LDMA or PCSC Member. I know you will help us keep the place clean, please fill in your holes and please don't be a claim jumper! Have a wonderful time and may color always be in your pan.

If you wouldn't mind passing along to your friend it was 0.54g for the one sled not 2. I was pretty doped up on cold meds when we spoke but his sarcasm was noted. It also was not this video it was a later trip. Look for the blue pan. Nice meeting you.

That's amazing that there was so much black sand the drywasher stopped flowing. It looked like your riffle tray was at a 15 degree angle, I'd adjust it to 25 or 30 degrees to get that paydirt flowing again. I'd also empty the riffle tray at least once an hour.

Most of the gold is in the top portion when you get to the decomposed granite layer dig into the dg about 3 to 6”. I usually run for about 20 to 30 mins and do a clean out.

That looked like a great outing! Crazy about the bees! I think collecting your cons to take home is much better than cleaning up while there. Gives you more time to process! Just do a test pan from time to time to make sure the gold count is still ok.
As far as your question about the layers, man lots of it looks good. I think the only way to know for sure is to dig into the side where nobody has before, make a nice clean “ slice” in the side and pan the same amount of dirt from each layer. Probably 10 pans from top to bottom. Then figure out if there is an actual pay layer (maybe take the samples home so you can pan without the bees - lol). I’d guess on top of each caliche layer and.. on the bottom where it was super hard pack... For the bottom, get out the shop vac (there are cheap 12 volt models) or a soft and hard brush and a dust pan. If that layer at the bottom of the hole was that hard, I’ll guess the previous diggers left gold sitting on it as well. Probably lots just sitting there since it can’t go down any further. Just some thoughts and maybe ideas for some videos.
    Great video as always!

Another great video. I'm sure everyone has lost a little gold at one point or another. We need to get back out there and make up for the loss.😁

Many channels I've seen use the 24k spot price and the weight of the gold they recover to calculate the value of their efforts. That greatly over states what they think they ended up with because Gold in nature is never 24k. 18k is typically very high with 14k and even 10k more typical. You don't play that kind of deception. However, that snake cameo some time ago was very cute! Lol. Nice to see another video from you. Best wishes.

The claim owners and BLM require the holes to be refilled so it is hit or miss.
