- Hey guys! Here's another gut healing soup for you! This one is a bit more substantial than bone broth and is a great way to mix up your diet while still being gentle on your stomach. This recipe contains medicinal spices like ginger and turmeric, which both pack a ton of flavor and boost your digestive health. Last but not least, this dish contains resistant starch which feeds your microbiome! I hope you try this next time you have an ibs flare up and you're not sure what to eat.

I have started making a double batch of this each week and having it for lunch. Since I did make mine with the bone broth (also your recipe) it is super healing and delicious. Thank you for this recipe!
WOOO! Your meal prep game is strong!! I find that its so much easer for me to make good food choices when I have a plan, a full fridge, the skills to whip something up fast, but most importantly a delicious meal prep calling my name. Its so good seeing you guys set yourselves up for success!!
This soup is AMAZING!!! I'm just recovering from a flare-up and this soup is an elixir. 🙂 I fried some nutritional yeast at the end and mixed it in the soup and it gives it a very nice extra flavour. Thank you so much!
I’m so glad you like it and that it has helped you! And I love when you guys add your own flare to my recipes!
Yum, can't wait to try this
I love your self-deprecating/dry sense of humour
Is that what I have?? Lol Thank you!😂
I can hardly wait to try this soup. Another great recipe!!!!

Love all your recipes as I have been looking for low formap food ideas Many thanks I will be cooking a lot of your lovely recipes
Thank you so much, Eileen! I hope they bring you as much relief as they have for me.❤️
Delicious 😋 😋 😋
just made some for lunch, yummy thank you
You’re very welcome.☺️
Beautiful recipe, thank you so much.💕 I will make it work for me ( I have more diet limitations). Your Spanish rice inspired my own version which we enjoy every single week so I am really grateful. Thank you so much.
Yay! I’m so glad you made it your own! You are very welcome, and I wish you the best of luck on your digestive journey.❤️
I make a carrot, chicken broth, ginger orange soup, but I like this recipe better. Definitely going to try it. Nice way to get small amount of legumes too. The soup I make has sprinkled toasted pepitas on top-a nice touch if you can eat them.
Ooo that sounds good! I’ll have to try that!
I tried it today and really loved it, I honestly wasn't expecting it to taste this good. I'll be doing more of your recipes ☺️
Yay! So glad you liked it!
I use butter ❤
Excellent , nice & best , 👍
I tried this and I am OBSESSED. I've made it every other week basically lol
OMG YES!! I’m so glad you’re enjoying it!
I’m sick at the moment so I’ve decided to make this it was amazing ❤️😊😊😊
Oh good! I’m so glad it helped and that you liked it!
Loved the soup, feeling good afterwards, and vegetarian, thank you!
You’re welcome! For more vegan/vegetarian low FODMAP options you should check out The Wild Gut Project. I know that’s a extra level of difficulty and not something that I really specialize in because I feel like meat works best for my body. But hopefully you’ll be inspired to make more vegetarian versions on my recipes. I actually prefer my Turmeric Spiced Beef and Rice dish without the meat, I hope you try it!

Thank you! I am not a vegetarian, but I feel good to cut back on meat, that soup was awesome
Hello. I had planned to start my Low FODMAP this Monday; however, I just started antibiotics. Do you recommend this recipe to help rebuild microbial before starting the program after the antibiotic cycle? Any advice of how long after antibiotics before starting the program?
Finally, a bit off topic. Do you have the video on how to food journal? I just don’t see it in your playlist. Thank you!
Leeks are really good in this soup and adds an onion component
Awesome! I LOVE leek, but even the low FODMAP serving seems to mess me up.😔 Thanks for trying my recipe and sharing your spin on it! I love when you guys take my recipes and make them your own!!
I think you should think about making a cookbook for those on low FODMAP!
Thank you! I would to do that one day soon hopefully! I’m still trying to bring enough revenue so I can quit my day job, but once I do - I will get right on it! Thank you for letting me know that there is a demand out there. This channel is a lot of work and it helps to keep me going.🥰
@@gritandgroceries, I appreciate that Fiber Info and Tip.. Thanks
Yummy😋,I'm going to try this write now.
But you said turmeric two times, when you were seasoning it... I'm confused!
Ps. What does the lime do for it/us?
The item in the shot glass was the saffron. (She accidentally called it turmeric)
It's there a sub for turmeric? Every time I eat that it burns my mouth for some reason. Or should I just omit it.
Oooo yeah, that sounds like a food sensitivity. I would just omit it, there will be plenty of flavor with the ginger in there. You could also add a little extra paprika if it needs more color. :)
Your good thank you. I found no onions in soup it tastes bland it made me feel sick 😢
Hi Janet, I’m not quite sure what you’re saying, but it’s possible that you have a sensitivity to turmeric, which is pretty common. Hope that’s helpful. Feel better.❤️
Okay so I don't have bone broth or fody because it's not available near me but I did order fodmap safe bullion cubes should I just make broth with the cubes and use 4 cups of broth?
Btw I've finally got everything ready to make it, just forgot to figure this out. 😄
You could use broth cubes and water, but I would really recommend making your own homemade bone broth if you can. That’s going to provide so much gut healing collagen and make this soup as healing as possible. OR you could use Vital proteins Collagen Gelatin with the water and stock cubes, but homemade is always best.😉
