Kirk you’re an authentic modern day blues man nothing fancy just a parts caster straight into a cheap amp and then it’s just tone straight out of your fingers. It’s really inspiring to see your pure musicianship with just what you have like the blues men of old. Don’t ever stop 😎👍
Every video you make is excellent ! I especially like the Chicago stuff from the 50's , of which this sounds like to me . I started playing in 1963 , so of course my first guitar hero was Muddy Waters ! I do not understand how every style you play sounds so authentic . I play a lot of different styles , but everything I play always has a Blues tinge to it . It is so hard for me to play without 7th 's and 9th's . Anyway , I love your videos .!!
As a perpetual student of blues guitar, I've been getting lots from your recent videos, Kirk. Thanks for helping make the pandemic more bearable. It'd be great if we could see your hands a bit better so it'd be easier to borrow chops!
Dang it man!!! A Boss Katena!!! I tried many many amps before buying mine. Name brands don't mean a thing to me... sound does. And I don't care if it's tubes or transistors or a mouse in a cage chasing a hunk of cheese on a chain. With the Katena I can get EVERY sound I want out of it without a floor filled with pedals. Pure clean, a little crunch, hard blues grit, flat out singing sustain, room filling power. Man I LOVE my Katena!!!
Been watching a lot of your videos, really impressed with the depth of your knowledge. Inspires me to step out of the same old same old. This combined with the humble approach is fantastic.
Another fun video to wake up and watch. I use to see Luther Tucker and John Lee Hooker play at Larry Blake's in Berkley. Downstairs. Thanks for the Otis Rush bend or sound , well it's the Otis Rush sound. Being left handed I have always searched for my own sound. You are great fun. Keep smiling
Love your love of the blues it's infectious. I also like your laugh when you make a mistake, it makes me remember to let go and enjoy the music without being perfect.
Been watchin' the Change the World series and just saw Keb Mo's walkin' blues on it....this took me there.....man I wish I had your blues vocabulary....the real deal...thanks bro Those flurries remind me of Sister Rosetta Thorpe....
Thank you Kirk, I understand what you're getting at even though I can't hear all the many nuances or play them. I've been listening to you for a few years. The things you've been posting for the last few months have all been excellent. This is one of my favorites!
I love your happiness when you play, it's infectious. It makes me want to pick up my guitar and play, even though I'm nowhere close to your abilities. It's about joy when you play, regardless of ability. Thank You!
Thank you Kirk, you are my favourte guitar instructor! Your rhythm guitar is by far, the best I´ve ever heard, and now the soloing...uuuuh, that´s exactly the style I love to listen, learn and enjoy ;-)
Thanks man... That's cool and nice... Beautiful... And more or less basic... I wonder how would this sound with the Danelectro guitar. Another nice thing is how music can put years of practice in a few minutes... Thanks again...
Kirk, you once were in a video "Kirk Fletcher's Favorite Blues Shuffles" (ua-cam.com/video/WGw68uCu4Bs/v-deo.html) where you cover six or seven different shuffles grooves. While it is one of my favorite guitar videos of all time for the huge amount of information, it is packed into a tight 5:48. In the video you mention how you solo more playing rhythm than actually soloing. It would be fantastic if you did a mini series of a single video for each of those shuffles and some ideas about "soloing" as a rhythm player in each. Thank you so much for what you are doing. You have really brought back the passion for playing that I have been missing for far too long.
Are you a Luther Allison fan? He had really fast vibrato and played with that reckless abandon like Buddy Guy but I hardly ever hear people mention him but I'll never forget the first time I heard him do Little Red Rooster. I immediately went and bought a cd of him when I heard it!
Looks like it to me. Incredible how good that thing is. I mean I can't get those tones out of it, but the fact that Kirk can is amazing for how cheap that thing is. Could absolutely use it as your first amp while saving up to buy another one.
4 months is no time. Don't be despondent. I found the best way to improve was playing with other people in a band, as I had to keep up. If you can get into a band, try it.
Albert King..."Da' Blues is easy to play but hard to feel". And when you're feelin' da' blues
its all good!
Doesn't matter where or when you touch that guitar....damnn

Love your videos. I really appreciate the history lesson of various blues artists. I foresee a bit of googling in my near future.

Kirk you are just on some really other stuff. this is ice cold mean, mean guitar.
It’s all about the pull-off!
I cannot get enough of your playing. What's the hat?
Love this Kirk, thankyou. Must get the little amp out - wont sound like you though!!
I really want to pick up one of those Katana's....I play through a Fender Champion 30 DSP that I'm thinking of swapping the speaker to a Celestion
I have the Champion 50. Get one of those, Celestion speaker comes upgraded in that one.
I wonder what those three chords at 3:22 are. Does anyone know?
Is that a Katana MIni? If so, I'm going to have a stern talk w/ mine tomorrow and ask her why she doesn't sound like this when I play? hah
Good morning
My brother , a few words . MORE truefire truefire truefire course !!
Jimmy Dawkins is brilliant! I've learned he was good friends with Earl Hooker too
That’s where it’s at.
En qué nota está afinado ?
👍
Is that a Boss KTN-Mini Katana Amp?
Looks like it to me. Incredible how good that thing is. I mean I can't get those tones out of it, but the fact that Kirk can is amazing for how cheap that thing is. Could absolutely use it as your first amp while saving up to buy another one.

Robert Johnson is alive and well
Please adopt me!
I just started learning guitar 4 months ago. I feel so frustrated, thought watching this would help. It just made it worse.. I'm jealous 😣😂
4 months is no time. Don't be despondent. I found the best way to improve was playing with other people in a band, as I had to keep up. If you can get into a band, try it.
I notice your style changes with guitars, one guitar only, I know but
Appropriate word "cool" or two words "wicked cool".
Это все устарело не родившись. БиБиКинг играл вне квантайза, а ты как в секвенсоре лупишь по транзиентам. Опенёрмайнд,бро.
