Studio Mudprints this is also applied for the PC version, i heard people said that you should play hard mode and do not die to see the true last boss but i accidently died and used another credit to continue near the end of the last stage and still meet the true last boss.
Studio Mudprints well, to see the only shrump that emphasize the ship customization is actually cool. Now there is should be one more game to complete the triology, DU1. Can you review the DU2 too? BTW, another great review once again and i can see that Switch has become the new platform for shrump games.
Tell me about it, it's ridiculous how many shooters have been released. new ones every single week, it's crazy. As for DU 2, I think I have that installed on my PC. At some point, I'm sure I can touch on it.
Love you're channel. Limited Run Games are doing a Danmaku Unlimited 3 physical release starting today. Checked your review, and decided to go a head and pick it up. Thanks!
@@StudioMudprints Yeah, I almost skipped buying the physical release of Danmaku, because it's only a 10 dollar game. But I'm willing to pay a little more for physical releases of shmups, I understand they're one of the more niche genres out there. But paying 20 dollars over the digital price was pushing it to my max. Anymore and I would of just skipped it.
I need to get more time in on Ikaruga. We have the Dreamcast version incoming though, so it won't be long! .....although I guess I could play it on PC.
I think you forgot to mention the most important thing: there are extend scores at 250M and 750M :P (not that I got them or anything hahaha I just saw it watching a superplay) Great review btw, another one for the collection :)
TheCompletionist i have to agree. With Ikaruga in tow and what appears to be a flurry of physical shmups inbound, I think we may have definitely found a new modern shmups console king!
Hm, maybe? Perhaps autobomb behaves differently than intentionally bombing. I remember testing this though. Maybe there was an update or change made. Either way, thanks for the heads up.
There's some story, but not a ton. In general, bullet hell games have light story elements with some exceptions. Raiden V tried, but it was full of mumbled dialogue and lame humor. DoDonPachi SaiDaiOuJou 360 Arrange was a much better attempt, though all in Japanese.
@@StudioMudprints If Hollywood decides to make a live action movie based on a Bullet Hell video game which one do you think would work for the silver screen?
Jet Lancer would be a good one. Granted it's already very story intensive, so it wouldn't end up being much of a stretch. Geppy-X is almost a movie in its own right as well. Good fit.
Absolutely get Rolling Gunner and its Overpower DLC. Psyvariar Delta is gold, be sure to snag Esp.Ra.De.Psi and the upcoming Raiden IV Overkill + Mikado is also solid choice.
The True last boss only shows up when you are playing hard mode and true mode.
Sound about right!

Ah, that should makes things a bit easier to unlock that new weapon then!

Still on the fence for getting a physical one, but if it's still available come payday, I may yet snatch one up.

Simply the best underrated shmup series with the most generic name ever. I played DU2 a lot, this one's looking good.
DU2 was pretty good, but 3 really came together well!
I'm totally agreed with you. BGM 3 (schräge musik) is the best track of DU3
Seems pretty fun! And I like some of the features for beginners to the genre. It is always nice when developers think of them.
It's a really fun time, no matter the mode!
It's also good practice for Ikaruga!

They need to keep the Switch Shoot-a-thon going! Maybe PC-Engine games! Ooooohhh, that would be... @_@‘
Well, there's IS the Sega Ages Thunder Force IV conversion coming... apparently it will feature the enhanced Saturn version of the game!

I don't know if I mentioned that in the PC version or not. Either way, thanks for the heads up.
I love stuff! Especially when the stuff comes after a bunch of review stuff and shmuppy stuff.
Not enough stuff though. Boy look at all those pretty colours. The switch is killing it as always.

6:15 i thought using bombs and getting hit counts towards flawless failure.

But what is the story of Danmaku unlimited 3? If there is one, and if so does it matter? Does the story line in bullet hell games matter?

How many stages?
Only 5?
Yes. Multiple modes and lengthy stage duration make "only 5" stages worth it.
@@StudioMudprints Is Raiden V worth it?
