Lovely finish on the wood there Keith. I reckon you add that makers mark so when you are old and grey sat with your feet up watching Antiques Roadshow, one episode the expert will go: ‘Did you know this is a Keith Brown? Well here the mark clearly shows’😀😀
I think the coffee table matches perfectly with the colour of the fireplace . It came out nice and i love that the drawer is hidden (no knobs) . Really nice , Good job !!!!!!
I apologize for asking to subscribe to my channel because I thought that the profession supports each other but I misread the belief and accept my apology
Only thing I’d have done extra is finished the underside of the top also so both faces absorb moisture at the same rate to try keep it staying flat as possible.
Colour isn't to my taste, but looks fab! Did you coat the bottom of the top with the varnish as well? Might end up cupping if moisture can get in at the bottom but not the top, especially with the grain not being the opposite. Would using the domino to cut the holes for the mounts not have been quicker than drilling holes then filing it down? Just a thought that could save you time!
After seeing this table made for your parents I think a lot of people will be queuing up to adopt you !😁. Lovely project and I was flabbergasted that it was only 3 days work as it looks super classy.
Great work Keith, turned out very nice and something to improve your parents life in lockdown :) You didn't mention putting the top together with a spring joint, but you said the wood was very dry so hopefully no need ;) I don't think 18 min is too long for a vid, but it's your call.
It looks like you didn't seal the bottom of the table top. (I could be wrong, perhaps I missed it). Every time I've done that I've got bowing, now I seal both top and bottom. Over all a good job.
Hi Keith, nice project, well executed. I've never had much luck staining Beech, some pieces seem to have uneven porosity, resulting in a blotchy finish.
Bet they love that Keith, i wish i had been into woodwork before my mum passed away nearly 3 years ago now... Could you have used your domino to create the elongated hole in the top fastener...just a thought
Nice work Keith, good tip I learnt for reducing movement in solid wood tops is to make sure you apply finish to both sides of the wood. Logic is, the side with no finish may absorb moisture at a different rate to the finished side and therefore cause movement with seasonal change.
Looks great Keith - can I ask which surface planer you have there? And also what do you think of it? I’ve been looking for a smaller planer, and respect your opinion...
Hi Keith, a very nice piece of furniture very well made and certainly very sturdy,I'm sure your parents will absolutely love it,well worthy of a 5 ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆
I have seen a few discussions regarding the orientation of the wood for table tops. The jury is still out. As it is only 450mm wide, as you say, I don't think you will have any problems with the top bowing. So focused on the job, that you forgot the drawer supports were only screwed. It happens to the best of us 😎. Hidden by the slides themselves. Great job Keith. Parents will be very happy
Cheers Peter. Yeah I’d be more concerned if it were pine or something with less tight grain, fingers crossed it’ll be ok! I always make silly mistakes like the one with the drawer slides when I’m jumping between projects, I should learn to concentrate on one thing at a time 😅
Cracking job Keith, looks really nice I bet your parents where really happy. I do love a good Combi drill battery shot, very artistic. I'm brilliant at these types of angles, my angles normally make my workshop look like a sinking ship 🛳️😂😂

Who wouldn't love to have something homemade by one of their children. Another nice job Keith. I too like the spring hinge drawer. Good job Keith.

Another excellent project. It looks absolutely stunning.

Beat me to it.
Love that Keith. Looks stunning. Really like the plywood edge as the draw opens. 👍👍👍
Thank you

Love your work Keith. I get loads of pallet wood from my work so I've been making lots of planting troughs for friends and family in my down time.

Love ...love push pull drawer. Table is perfect. No drawer handle is the best idea. Had the push pull on many closets and cabinets loved it😍

Great result. Loved the stain colour. What make / colour did you use please?
Really nice work. Looks rather like an old-fashioned linen chest. The concealed draw is a very good idea. Stay safe.
Great product- worked perfectly, no issues.
Excellent end product Keith, they must’ve been made up.
Another great project and video. Thanks mate
Lovely job, and really great match for the fireplace etc!
Lovely job on the unit mate and the finish is stunning indeed. Great video chap
I'd say that's a pretty good colour stain match!
Looks great Keith - can I ask which surface planer you have there? And also what do you think of it? I’ve been looking for a smaller planer, and respect your opinion...
i was about to ask exactly the same thing! i think its a charnwood of some sort
James Odlum I ordered the charnwood from amazon in lieu of a response - let’s see how good it is - anything’s better than a 95 degree edge :)
haha. yes. im having to deal with my slightly dodgy handplaning technique at the moment! hopefully I'll be able to get a planer thicknesser soon too
Really nice table Keith, looks great.
Great build Keith, turned out spot on!
Looks realy good. Good Son.

Looks Very Nice!!
Looks brilliant mate 👍🏽
I really like the idea you came up with to attach the top to the base.
Excellent build, Keith. 👌🏽
Great build and video :D The color turned out really nice, and I really like those hidden drawers.
Nicely done.

Nice job squire
Nice spending 3 days doing this for your mum and dad when you’re still doing so much on your house 👍🏻
Where do you get your wood from? Can you recommend any online stores
New video coming soon which will answer that 👍
Really nice keith. Good job on the hidden drawer too. You wouldn't know it was there just by looking!
As always👍🏼💙
Very nice piece.
Awesome job...
Have you upgraded your drills etc to Milwaukee?
Great build 😊 Your patent must be so happy and proud 😊
Great job. Don't be so hard on yourself.
👍👍👍
Hi Keith, the herringbone floor at 6:36 looks nice. Have you made a video on how to lay the floor?
Not really although I did do a Patreon video about the kitchen in general
@@RagnBoneBrown Thanks. Would you mind telling me where you bought it?
It was done via a tradesman we've been using I think it's a product similar to karndean, can't remember the brand but the wood effect is hickory
Really nice Keith, well done
Looks amazing! 💜💜💜💜
Nice job!
Excellent!
Classy!!!

😂 cheers Karl. Yeah it’s easily done! We need professional camera crews!
Corner bracket expansion/contraction slots are asinine, total waste of time and effort.
How do you work that out?
