I loved the look on the "shop boss'" face. She really was having such a good time. I bet she's down there with you constantly, asking to hold more planks. I bet she'd have been even happier if you'd offered her some of those biscuits. They make a great snack with tea!
"But you can tell by the look on her face that she was enjoying every minute of it" That one really made me smile. I always enjoy your sense of humour, Drew. Maybe you should give her some hearing protection next time, that might change things. ;) Anyways, another great project. I am already looking forward to the next one. Greetings from Germany!
I really appreciate the outtake with the router mishap. It's moments like that that make me freeze and go, "Do I need to start the piece over or scrap the whole project?" Good to know there's a simple workaround.
Another fantastic project and video! I really like how you took the time in the outtakes to explain how you repaired the router gouge. This is one of many things that make your videos so valuable. They are entertaining and informative and show guys like me that other people make mistakes in the shop too.
Your sense of humor is just perfect for making me chuckle, if not outright giggle. So thank you so much for your videos. Also I get weirdly excited when biscuits are used in wood working. It was my favorite part when I watched New Yankee Workshop back in the day (no idea why) so it’s a fun bit of (odd) nostalgia.
Looks really nice! Wallnut works nice for this and your design adds a lot of value to it. Very cool to see that you don't always need a big shop to create great things!
Such an incredible design! Really fantastic build and video as always Drew! Hahaha "and there's my outtake"...I think I usually have more outtake footage than usable footage...but that's just me!
What a beauty. Love your sense of humor and the practical projects that you undertake. I always learn something new from your projects. Your style and perfection is second to none. Excellent job!
Really like the wavy lines, like the ones in your cutting boards and lazy Susan as well, guess I'm going to have to give them a shot. Thanks for sharing, entertainment center turned out beautiful.
Enjoyed it as always Drew. I really appreciate your style of video. Lot's of subtle jokes, quality work and just a real guy in his shop. Outakes are the icing on the cake... they show how genuine of a person you are and that you make the same mistakes as the rest of us! Can't wait for the next video. Not to discourage you from ever buying "nicer" tools, but it's very refreshing to see a UA-camr using tools that hobbyists can afford from the big box stores and showing that you don't need a shop full of high priced production shop tools to get amazing projects built. Don't get me wrong... I love quality tools too! Thanks again.
Hola! 🖐WOW! What a nice project. At first I thought, why make a change, that's a nice looking table. But then the beauty shots say "That's why!". Great job AND BONUS, Mrs. Fisher Shop got in on the build - super awesome. Take care and have a good one, Adios!👊
Well, geez! Talk about being shoe horned into a space. Now I have no more excuses for not getting started on my to do list. I was thinking it was a nice but somewhat pedestrian piece, THEN... you started the 'magic doors', and added that slick hardware. Beautiful piece.
GREAT project Drew. I really like the overall design tooooo. I suggest you go and "exchange" your TV with your neighbors BIGGER TV. You now have room for it, I'm sure they won't notice it. Afterall, you have "borrowed" most of their stuff over the years, so why stop now?? Keep the vid's coming! !! !!!
@@FishersShop looks like that Odies Oil is worth trying out. Didn’t see an affiliate link in your description for it though. Always like my fave UA-cam woodworkers to get some extra $$ when I order stuff.
Great build, Drew. I'm glad your shop boss enjoyed herself so much. I'm also surprised you didn't borrow more lumber from your neighbor to build this. Take care. Bill
First, Absolutely gorgeous piece! Second, with your cove bit incident....I'm glad I hung around for the outtakes....If I could recommend...That would have been something well served in the main body. I think one of the biggest delineators between a good craftsman and a great one is their ability to fix, repair or hide mistakes. They are going to happen regardless of our level but how we recover says a lot. That was a great come back and for anyone who sees your piece without seeing your boo boo will never know. Thanks for the follow up on the repair! Cheers!
This one wins the award for best woodworking comedy. Your sense of humor is awesome.
makes the projects 10x more enjoyable to watch
Agreed lol
Turned out awesome brother
Thanks, Bart!

With the kind of work you do, she really should be smiling.
Looks awesome Drew!
Thanks Zach
Awesome build Drew! The "song of my people" line had me in tears!
:)
Anybody else start with the outtakes and then watch the videos? Made my day seeing a video in my feed. Keep up the good work!
I really appreciate the outtake with the router mishap. It's moments like that that make me freeze and go, "Do I need to start the piece over or scrap the whole project?" Good to know there's a simple workaround.
Glad you enjoyed it!
That came out great. Your 8-Track is going to look awesome in that.
That antique?? No way... I ditched that fossil and will use this thing to house my LaserDisc player!
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one dropping pieces, knocking over clamps, and mis-judging how well long lumber will balance.
You're not doing the job correctly if things aren't falling over.
Couldn’t agree with this any more!

His reaction language is much more reserved than mine though ;p
I won't lie: I come here every time just for the narrative and, in the meanwhile, I learn a thing or two about woodworking. Keep up the good work!
Thanks!
Drew, couldn't love your videos more than I already do...perfect combination of instruction, entertainment, cinematography, and outtake cursing.
Great to hear! Thanks, Jason

When you hit the like button before the video even starts because you know you'll be entertained.
Thankful for those cool down sanding breaks. I would’ve died from woodworking excitement without them!
😉👍
Just when I thought I couldn't be as perfect as you.. you added those bloopers at the end, now that quickly restored my confidence!
"Well, there's my outtake."
Lol.
Great project and video.
I love your videos Drew. They bring a smile to my face for sooooo many reasons. Thanks for unapologetically being who you are.
My pleasure
I love that you left the sap wood. It really adds character
"well, there's my outtake." OUCH, I felt that one. Just did the same on a project I am working on.
Always nice to see others have the same problems I do with dropping pieces and getting aggravated! Keeping it real! Awesome video!!
Thanks for watching!
Hah! A great Saturday morning!! There’s a Fisher’s Shop vid release! Woooo!

Beautiful work, Drew! It really looks amazing!!! 😃
Well done!!!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thanks! You too!
Awesome Job Drew!! I always love your bloopers but now that you are narrating them they are even more funny!
Always find your sense of humor great. Always a laugh in your videos. Great work on the entertainment center.
It did turn out beautifully!!!! Great video and glad to see I'm not the only one knocking things over in the shop.
Very nice Drew! I am sure the shop boss is pleased.
Love the use of sapwood toward the front of the middle shelf. Plays so nicely with the maple inlay
Yup! That's what I was going for.
Those inlays are awesome!
Thanks!
1:06 you like a fallen rock and roll star that still want to looks good, great video as allways and your sense of humor is fantastic
I can't help but look that good. :)
Outtakes made my day. I really need a laugh today. Thank you Drew.

I love your wavy inlay technique.
Looks really nice! Wallnut works nice for this and your design adds a lot of value to it. Very cool to see that you don't always need a big shop to create great things!
Yup! But I wouldn’t want to go any bigger with the project. These boards were tough to manage.
So glad I stayed to the end!

Very nice, once again those inlays are a real eye catcher, Good Job

Drew, as always, beautiful work!!! I love the comedy you bring to your videos.
Thanks so much!
Awesome!! The outtakes are wicked!!
I love it when people share their bloopers too. Very nice job, man!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Absolutely gorgeous! Well done
Thank you! 😊
Yes, it is beautiful. Great job! Your Shop Boss does excellent management.
Thanks for a new one. More. More. More!!! 👏❤️
I really like that you made this out of solid wood. I feel like many would have used ply. Great job drew!
Thanks. Plywood is an option, it would work but I prefer solid wood.

Beautiful work.

Beautiful Drew! Job well done!

Great looking TV Stand!
Thanks!
That's a beautiful piece of furniture. I hope your neighbour got his stand back. And using your own wood, that's got to be a first😊

Beautiful Work!!
Great piece of furniture and a very entertaining commentary. And at least the neighbor still has all their wood in tact. LOL
I like the use of the salt, great idea.
Glad you like it
I like your space... and how you managed it....
Awesome build!
I got to 8 mins in and realised that I"ve been sitting here with a smile on my face the entire time... Great job again Drew!
Adding salt. Brilliant. Thanks for the incredibly useful tip!
Glad it was helpful!
It looks AWESOME.
Thanks

Great looking piece. I really like the inlay in the doors,it’s very eye catching. Great work.

Another beautyful project, good old Mr. Fisher did. What can I say? Truely well done, Sir?
Thank you kindly
"Well.... there is my outtake..." Love it! Almost as good as the grunts when applying the clamps for the inlays. As always great video Drew!

Yes it did turn out very nice.
As usual beautiful project, great wit and captivating story.
