For some reason I feel like What and Alone in the City as a whole are their least known/appreciated works, but I love this whole album. I think this album is their most adventurous in terms of music styles, especially when compared to the previous, very traditional rock-based Escape the Era. I love how they changed it up so much with this release, showing us that they're great at other genres besides rock.
The dreamcatcher guitarist and bassist are so underrated. Amazing vocals aside, I think the production team deserves a lot more credit than what is given.
July 7th is a festival for a Korean myth of two lovers who could only meet once a year and also explaining the change of seasons, also basically Korean Valentine's Day.
This EP is the most underrated EP from them and What is their most underrated title track along with Fly High. You will understand that after watch it live, the energy and the fan chant are mood booster. I personally think they are still unknown to the public. People who found them, immediately fall in love with them. People that are currently sleeping on them are going to regret for not knowing them right now, because they will get big, it's just the matter of time (you cannot hide talent too long). When they get big one day, you will look back to the day you went to their small concert, being so close to the stage because one day they will for sure performed in a sold out arena(s).
July 7th is a Korean holiday known as "Chilseok" which is basically Korea's traditional Valentines day lol. Also, Dami is the only one who has had a hand in the production of their songs so far. -- She helped write 'You and I', and she wrote 'Scar' all by herself, as well as co-composed it, I believe. From what I've heard she has her own studio now. She said in a recent interview that she's been spending a lot of her free time writing and composing so hopefully we'll see some more Dami written/produced/composed stuff in the future
Every dreamcatcher track deserve music video. How i wish Trap has special clip or music video. This year, I'm hoping Silent night will have a music video.
Dreamcatcher is the most underrated Kpop group..They are also the most talented and gorgeous in this Kpop new gen..they deserve better and more recognition..SK is not ready for their talents and more..
I recommend checking out KPOP Junkee's "Dreamcatcher MV's Explained", it's really interesting actually. He goes over the first three: Chase Me, Good Night and Fly High since they are directly connected to one another
just happened to be awake watching a movie when this video popped up lol :) yeah this album is maybe my favorite overall - but damn deja vu has really grown on me hard :s july 7th is like the only day in the year people across the galaxy can see each other (because the stars are lined up). also a reference to the 7 members to reunite regardless how separate their lives take them afterwards. most of the japanese releases are just remakes so really there's only 3-4 you really need to check out. if you want to check out stuff other than music try '60 seconds challenge with dreamcatcher' which they did with a youtuber(lucky bastard lol). also if you haven't checked out their own reactions to their mvs, those are fun and you can get a sense of their personalities through their reactions. there's 2 for deja vu, 1 for good night and fly high(reactions on happyface/dreamcatcher channels).
I'm not much fond of Wonderland and And there was no one left, along with My Way, maybe because the complexity in Japanese pronounciation make it less ear catching, but all other songs, including the remake of title tracks worth checking.

I noticed your next reaction is their BBB cover which was actually the video that caught my attention and made me look them up. * full circle * 😆 The ep is definitely a shift from the past eps as they take on a more modern style (where as the past eps were “antique” styled according to them) I like it, the past style was too occult-ish to me tbh but I still love all the songs. There are remnants of the continuing nightmare storyline (the book is in the What mv) esp since it revolves around Yoohyeon in some kind of trouble (aka it’s her fault for getting them into this nightmare mess lol). And for line distribution I think their producers make each member sing the whole song by themselves and then pick which lines each member sounds best singing. For ex, Siyeon’s take on the line “and I missed you so much” in July 7th was way too soulful for the song so it was given to Handong. The song is practically Dongie (and Jiu) centric. ok after rewatching after waking up at noon lol, some stuff I missed on the initial watch at 3am :D and in response to the simplicity of their videos. I'm sure you know dreamcatcher is from a very small company - they even renamed happyface to dreamcatcher now. so their budget is pretty limited as you can already tell from their title track mvs, but they do a very good job imho with what they have. the only reason why deja vu was stepped up was due to the collab and we all know how rich gaming companies are. but this is why some dreamcatcher fans are so hardcore because they are really underdogs not only in resources but also in musical style which is not popular in korea. after all the original minx 5 were almost disbanded but they rolled the dice with dreamcatcher rebranding and carved out a niche for themselves. that's why the original minx members break out in tears a lot on events commending even minor achievements.
