One night, a long time ago, I turned on the TV and low and behold, it was my all-time favorite musician/songwriter/entertainer on the Kennedy Awards. I almost fell out of my chair. It was just a "happy accident" that I found it. Love Neil Diamond 💎 ❤️ ♥️.

Has meant so much to me and my late father. Nothing can happen in my little corner of life that Cracklin Rosie cannot bring healing and hope to me. I love and thank Mr Diamond from my heart.

Best entertainer of all time. And he did it all fully clothed unlike entertainers today!! I saw over a 100 of his concerts, and every one just got better. Even named two of my dogs - Shilo and Diamond. He was and will always be the best!!

Mr Diamond. You're a wonder in the music industry. But you excel in another area well beyond your musical achievements - you are one beautiful human being. God made you. God loves you, God bless you!

I agree. No mention of his many charitable contributions. Neil coming to the rescue of Hurricane Ike victims just to name a big one.

I took my Dad to see Mr Diamond in Orlando. Dad shows up wearing an immaculate pin stripe suit. Dad said, "this is how we rolled in the sixties". The show was a bond with Dad who passed away 4 months later. We both smiled about seeing our GUY live while we could together. I love Neil and all the positive things his words have created in my life. I wish him strength and peace always.

  • @jogman262

I think they could have taken a couple moments to mention his charitable donations. For example when Hurricane Ike struck Texas and decimated many homes on Oak Island, Neil, without any fanfare or photo ops, reached into his own pocket and helped rebuild many of those homes. He’s a great musician and a great man. His music has brought so much joy into my life.

Exactly 48 years ago today ; the 7th of June, 1975 , I collected my copy of ‘HOT AUGUST NIGHT’ from my local record store. Had saved school bus fares and school dinner monies for weeks ( ‘pocket money’ was not an automatically, weekly ‘given’ where I grew up ) I had attempted to listen to it 2 years previously when my elder brother borrowed his friend’s copy. It , mostly , escaped me … this time it was l i f e - c h a n g i n g in ways that would require a book to explain . Very , very blessed to have seen Neil in concert 27 times ; starting with The London Palladium & Woburn Abbey in June and July 1977. Made it to The Greek Theatre in August ‘12 for his final 2 concerts celebrating the 40 th anniversary of the greatest live album ever recorded - a 13, 000 mile round trip . I am in total agreement with James A. Doolittle , the then (1972)
Theatre Director of The Greek Theatre who stated :
“ I enjoyed the theatrical experience of my lifetime due to the hypnotic and unsurpassed talents of
    Neil Diamond .”

Neil Diamond was in 1977, four days on Tour in Netherland.there were problems with the Hammond organ (110 Volt America-Europe 220 Volt) I'm approached by Lou van Rees Management for a solution to my Hammond Rent. After four days I got my B3 Hammond returned with Fire spots of Cigarettes. It frustrated me.They have me removed me from the Neil Diamond Fan Club because I had this listed on their site.Never Excuse of Neil Diamond ;-(

neil is at his best on his albums. in the studio he becomes neil, the man with the needs to do these song, all from his heart, i think his main concern was to reach people with songs that would tell us that he had feelings just like us. his main concern was not to have a big seller, lp but to sing how he feels first. god gave him the gift of song. love you neil, and thank you.

Thank you Neil Diamond for your incredible music, especially Sweet Caroline. That song became the anthem for the Iowa City West High School since August of 2011 when an incredible kid by the name Caroline Found was killed instantly in a freak moped accident. She didn't like being called Caroline, she said call me Line or Liner, nothing else. She helped lead her team to the state championship in 2010 as a junior, but just days before her senior year, the entire city and much of the state of Iowa learned about her death. On April 13th, a movie titled "The miracle season", named after the book written by Kathy Bresnahan who was the coach for the girls volleyball team opens in theaters, (book was released this week) all about this young girl who had touched so many lives, and after her death, Sweet Caroline was played and sung by everyone in the bleachers at volleyball as well as other sports. Also, her mom Ellyn, who was battling end stage pancreatic cancer somehow managed to make it to the funeral for her youngest child, she even walked out of the church with her husband rather than the wheelchair she arrived in. She passed away 12 days after her daughter. Her dad Ernie was a spinal surgeon, and performed surgery on my back in early 2011, and he is such a kind, gentle giant. "Line" was more than just a volleyball player, and here is a link to a great video from Bryant Gumbel on HBO Sports. ua-cam.com/video/rGEK6swDBHo/v-deo.html

Survivrs What a sad yet beautiful and inspiring story too. It’s about tragedies and it’s also about perseverance by her Mother who was dying and so very sick yet choosing to stand the last time for her youngest child, her precious baby girl. The fact that the Father and the other siblings when own to have a great life and being kind, never letting their loses stop them. It’s a story about the amazing human spirit and how we should always count our blessings everyday for we never know what tomorrow will bring.
Thanks 🙏🏼 tremendously for sharing this story for others to hear and know about, you never know just how much a true story like this will touch someone’s life and maybe even safe someone’s life. Line was most certainly more than just a volleyball player, she was so very much more. It teaches us to always look deeper and that we should want and need to understand more than what’s just at face value.
Thanks to for the link to the HBO Bryant Gumbel video!

I don’t know if this will get to Neil Diamond or not but I just wanted to let you know that you have played a part in me and my son’s life. He’s always been an Artist of many things. From the time he was 7 months old yes 7 months old he learned how to whistle while he later in traction with a broken femur. Well anyway as the year passed he always had the art of a microphone and singing and she 2 took off on a tiny bicycle my father had built him. And then he began to draw my father got and built him a desk while a chalkboard. Later on when he was 11 he had been playing different instruments still can he brought a band together he even was in a competition won 1st place with his 2 friends he was lead singer and guitarist of course then as he was in last part of his high school went to a vocational school training in producing media and Art. He further his career went to 2 colleges graduating both colleges with too honor and Presidential awards. Having said all this I was such a Neil Diamond fan he grew up listening with and without me to you Neil Diamond to fast forward everything he began his own business it grew in Columbus, Ohio and we always new he was New York bound. He finally made it to New York and opened his 2nd shop. He does Art production media digital design and even has a Tee shirt business on the side also. All I have to do say or text email is Hello my friend hello.. it means so much to him and I and your music has played a huge part of our life’s btw he’s only 33 and has accomplished all this . So thank you for your songs and you are truly a wonderful man singer and song writer ❤️💕

Still a poor student - cops had to pull me down from the fence as they were doing that I hold on to the fence so my long Levi trousers went down just my nickers with me hanging on to the fence at least I get a glimpse of him from far he was glittering in blue . And the rest is history , love his music to this day . Cheers Neil Diamond love you man of Soul .
