All those bandaids tell me he’s a true Decaller😤😎
I might decal a clone tonight, I’ve aced decaling and sealing clones perfectly, the only thing I’m short on is time! I got supplies. I cut my decals with a pair of cheapass pair of manicure scissors and they work perfectly.
Go for it!
Very helpful!!! we just ordered our first decals, and this will help us so much when we get them :D
I've been dealing for a while and love it! I'm not a beginner but still like to watch your vids!
Tip for beginners: In the video JT uses Micro Sol and Set! I also use it but I don't recommend it for beginners. They help speed up the process witch is not helpful for beginners as y'all need more time to align the decal.
Just wanted to share my opinion and I hope it helps some of y'all!!
Definitely a good point! Set and Sol are by no means necessary. Sol does soften the decals and makes them very delicate, which is helpful if you're used to it but does run the risk of damaging the decal if you don't play it right.
Noted! I’m wanting to try for my first time and I was vary curious on this if I absolutely needed it but I now see that it’s not necessary especially for beginners lol.
Thank man, It’s not easy to find a good very detailed tutorial, I’m happy I found one :).
Glad I could help!
I really love your store!
Even though I already know how to decal this will be super useful for people wanting to learn!
Yeah I'm hoping that the complete series will serve as a good start for anyone new to the game!
@@jonaktoys 1:33 I life in the Netherlands and I have no idea what that spray looks like here, do you have a suggestion on witch one I can use?
Or do you sell them on the site?
Hi! I don't sell them unfortunately. You should be able to find some at a local store in the spray paint section; look for clear sprays in matte semi gloss or glossy finishes. Not sure if Krylon and Rustoleum would be available near you but they're both solid options from around me.
@@jonaktoys okay, thanks for the tip :)
Thank you for the tutorial. I do know how to decal but it is nice to always watch a tutorial. I actually just bought your howzer decals in pink and normal! They look great and I can’t wait to decal them. (Just need some time)
Of course! Sounds great
Very helpful to all the new plebs!
My order arrived today and I couldn’t be happier! Never done decaling before lol, also Thankyou for the free 501st holiday decal! Will deffo buy more!
Great video.
Iv been thinking on trying to decal some of my own troops but I’m alil hesitant it’s a lil intimidating too haha but I’m vary vary intrigued
Off to part 2!
Thank you so much, this was very helpful!
Glad to hear it!
something interesting I have discovered is that the electric drill is the same price as the citadel mouldline remover if you buy them from Amazon.
Yeah it's a similar price, personally I'd recommend the nail drill for sure
WELCOME BACK JONAK
Back for good 😎
Nice!
Thanks so much!
I was very confused on how to use sol and set
Of course! In the third part of this series when I go over applying the decals, I’ll show exactly how I use it as well :)
Thanks very helpful I like
Next episode can you explain a good strategy for helmets? I ruined a Waxer because the helmet wrinkled
In the third video I'll go over applying the decals and how to do that best :)
Oh wow, video posted five months ago. Almost as long as I've been waiting for my order to arrive
Every time I get one of your decals, I cut out the logo and put it on an clone😊
i love Jonaktoy decals they r like the lego desgin and easy to do, he was the first website that i ordered decals from.
This will really help beginners hope yall enjoy his vid. ok Slivko out
Thank Yoe, tutorial
JONAK Toys,
I am new to decaling and stuff and I truly love how you make all your decals look like actual Lego figures. I was look through your store and I saw that the micro set/sol is out of stock. I just wanted to ask if you know when they will go back in stock? Thank you.
Would sprey lacquer be a good alternative to varnish spray?
I haven’t watched the full video but for Jonak toys do you buy the knock off helmet or the blank lego helmet?
This is awesome! I really wish I had this on my first order from you in like March, that’s why I ordered from you the day you reopened, although an issue occurred with that order which I sent an email to you about
Should get a response to you soon to fix that!
@@jonaktoys thank you so much! I also love that grey decal and can’t wait for the rest of the series!
I think imma decal echo with the citadel mold remover
will you have any commander bacara decals because i just got a cac blank helmet
Awesome. Gonna order soon. Would be nice tho to see the actual difference between the styles (animated, realistic and 2020) on the figure it self.
Also would you recommend ordering the Lego or offbrand figure ?
Offbrand quality is great if you don’t mind it being knockoff! And a lot cheaper!
It’s hard to find a actual good tutorial to do these thanks
Hope they help!
Is the phase 2 helmet a official LEGO or the knockoff or the custom?
Hey I am planning on buying some decals off you guys, I have never decaled before so this is very helpful, but I have some questions...for the sealant can you use like mod podge where it's water-based and you brush it on instead of spraying it on? and how long should you let the decals dry? and finally, about how long should you leave decals in water? thanks for the tutorials tho i am still working on watching them all :)
I haven’t used something like that myself, but it definitely might work- I’d recommend testing it on one piece first to see how it does.
I’d give the decals a couple hours after application before you spray them with sealant (or try to use modge podge). And once sealed, maybe an hour. Sealant tends to dry pretty quick!
Usually 15-20secs is good enough for them to sit in the water, it’s okay for them to sit for longer but if it sits too long it can get waterlogged and risk the decal curling in on itself
@@jonaktoys alright thanks for all the advice! I wanted to use mod podge because the spray sealant may be a little to extreme for me to buy because I am just giving decaling a try, so I think mod podge will do the trick, it's water-based, thanks for the advice!!!
@@bzbricks3621 how did the mod podge work?
Could you do a tutorial on decaling AP2 Fives? And adding a hole into the antenna
Part 3 of my decal tutorial (releasing tomorrow) will cover the decaling process; I'll be doing a captain grey decal in that video but you can use the same concepts for fives!
@@jonaktoys Sounds good!
@JONAK Toys what brand of scissors do you use I can’t find them anywhere
do i have to use the spray im from slovakia and i dont know where to find it
Eey man, I like so much your videos, I'm interested in starting to customize my clone troopers, but my english is not really good, so I don't sure what kind of material you use for print the details for the body and helmet and where you can get those for print?
If anyone could help me with this information, I would greatly appreciate it.
For a beginner would you recommend using micro set and micro sol or not using them?
great vid btw very helpful.
I need to order some more of yours I ruined my first
What sort of electric nail file do you use in particular?
I don't think the brand matters much, if you search "electric nail file" on Amazon you should get a bunch of options!
🔥
Hey hotty
Waddup tijn
@@Macks1029 😂😂😂
how do you make decals
Hey, will you make decals for og clones?
I plan to eventually!
Im new to decalling minifigures and i just wondered why do you need to carve out the hips?
If you don't, the friction between the leg and the hips will scrape the legs decals off of the piece :) carving it gives the leg space to move without rubbing the hip
@@jonaktoys thanks for letting me know!
Could someone tell me what scraping out the hips does?
It prevents the decal from being scraped off when you move the legs!
Does anyone know some good people to commission to make a decaled trooper
Edit: I mean to decal it for me if it wasn’t clear
I don't know any off of the top of my head but there are several people over on Instagram who do commissions!
@@jonaktoys thanks!
Somebody pls tell me from where should i buy the plain torsos
We have some on our site!
When will you be selling gray???
He'll go up with this weeks release this Friday! Hope to also have a few other designs to go with him :)
@@jonaktoys Thanks, I will have to get him then
@@jonaktoys do you have any other clones from the bad bach planned?
Do you need to drill the hips
You need to carve enough so the decal doesn’t scrPe off!
Do you think using scissors to carve the hips would be ok?
That might work, you'd need to be really careful though
@@jonaktoys ok thanks
When do you release the elite squad trooper?
That may be a while since it’s all black; I need a decal printer with white toner to do that
@@jonaktoys neeed
Can you make a link for these supplies if it not too much to ask?
There's a link in the description to all the supplies on my site!
Do I use hot water or cold water
Room temp is fine!
Is there a possibility to learn how to do his own clone decals instead of going through a commission?😊
Hey i ordered some stuff but you forgot the ventress head
Sorry to hear that! If you haven't already, shoot me an email over at customerservice@jonaktoys.com
@@jonaktoys i did but i didin't Recive a reply
@@tonyy1977 when was it sent? I haven't been able to check for a few days but am going to go though them soon
@@jonaktoys oh ok thx
Do I have to pay taxes for shipping to Germany?
It depends, I don't think they always charge customs fees but I'm not sure how often they do it
i am going to do fives and from all the videos i have seen and i will save so much money ($9.85) and if i got it from lego it would be $25
Is your site still operational or is it inactive?
It is active, we have had some lengthy shipping delays recently though!
When are you gonna ship my decal
happens to like everyone lol, its a 50/50 chance if u actually get it in time
Hi Jonak, I sent you an email cuz I have some questions. Will be decalling soon :D
I've caught up on all of my emails so hopefully you have a response!
@@jonaktoys 70 dollars on wolfpack decals... DONE!
Hello, I made an order for $ 90 days ago and you still haven't sent it to me and you haven't responded to my emails. What's happening?
Exact same thing happened to me. Got my order after a month or so. Just be patient, worked for me. Jonak is a great seller, but he can be tacky with the timing sometimes.
@@youraveragestarwarsfan3517 Honestly, I am a distrustful person and these things make me doubt but I will give you more time anyway, thank you very much for your opinion
Welp, looks like I found it. XD
