Hi from Australia, Billy went to Salisbury High & was in my brother's class when he left the principal said he'd never mount to anything, yrs later he played at a school dance just to prove the man wrong. How great is that

If Billy had been lead singer of AC/DC, older farts like me might have understood the fucking words to the songs after Bon Scott's death. Billy was, and still is, the best rock singer in Aussie music. Gone but sure as Christ not forgotten.

I saw Thorpie play not too long before he passed. Most of the classics, still extremely well performed. At one point, Bill had to tweak his amp, giving the crowd a wry smile as he donned glasses in order to see the settings. "Don't worry mate," I thought at the time, "it's catching up to all of us..." RIP Thorpie. Glad that I lived during your reign.

I thought that stevie wright was in this concert.
    I don't see him here.
Stevie wright was a great performer and legend and song writer. He was in the Easybeats. The group that is responsible for AC DC.
Who would go on to be a great performer on his own.❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉. You should have at least mentioned his name😢😢😢. Give him some of the credit he deserves for his contribution to your Australian music❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉

I went to this concert at the Newcastle Entertainment Centre. I remember Stevie Wright singing and then all the other musicians came onto the stage to support him. His voice was still strong and I actually cried. Thinking about all my music heroes and how time takes it's toll on us all. Very moving. Something I will never forget.

Notice when AC/DC plays this, ol Malcolm is sure strokin his guitar!!!! His playing, along with the bagpipes makes "It's a long way to the top" my favorite song by AC/DC!!!!! Now, this is only my opinion.

+David Rouse, settle down, son. I AM of Billy Thorpe's generation. That "long way to the shop" was just a joke thing my kids used to say. And I completely agree with your assessment of this generation's lack of talent. They don't just lack talent, they don't even know what talent is! They think they're "musicians" if they know how to use a computer program to loop a sample of some chords they heard someone else play...
